You and I had the same idea :) You took the words out of my mouth in thinking i was missing out on not having played this game before. Great video and i'm looking forward to trying this game out myself.
@@DarkVRKnight I definitely recommend it. This game is great but it’s incredibly time consuming! It’s addictive in terms of gameplay loop, but also in hoarding stuff 😂😂😂 so inventory management is kind of a must.
@@Battlefieldfreak1 the small gun doesn’t give you a lot of “safety” feeling. Limited bullet in the clips make the difference. Bigger guns probably give you that sensation better…but the enemies get more dangerous too…
@@joejo4549 ahah you'll see how many times I dropped ammo as well...it just takes a bit of practice. Eventually you'll make enough money to just put the weapons in the machine and jave it fix them for you. Also, I've never seen anyone load ammo into the guns directly from the ammo box.
@@VRDaD yeah it's quite a big difference. Definitely think this game is better on PC as the atmosphere is considerably better and that's such a huge part of what makes it. Standalone is still worth it though if no PC is available
It seems like such a wasted opportunity that everything in the environment is interacted with via the red line coming out of your finger tip instead of your fingertip itself. Is that a setting or is the game just like that?
@@VRDaD Just one example: 10:55 the weapon upgrade station. You have this nice built in screen on the machine and yet have to tap it with a red laser coming out of your finger. For those wondering, that is the difference between Alyx and every other game so far. In alyx, is near-zero in terms of immersion / illusion breaking mechanics like this. Everything you do is a real interaction.
@@wesdavis8797 actually, I tried it with my finger a well...and it works. you can use both the red laser and your finger. After playing for a while now I think I find opening crates and drawers most annoying :D
