Had a guy not clip a flasher and fly on and throw it over. Always make sure ur snap swivels are closed. Nice segment guys!!

I have thrown a couple over board in my days. Always a nice $50 oops.

Grabbing them tangled divers really hit home. Lol 😂 nothing better. Current can play a factor in ur rigs tangleing. The first year i ran divers i also didnt set the tension tight enough trolled around with them released. Running the same thing my uncle was and couldnt by a bite. 🙈

Have you found if there's a distance from rod tip to inside board to most reliably clear your divers? 75 feet, 100 feet, etc...? Thank you.

There are a ton a changing variables. How far out you let your high diver really determines the distance. If there is traffic around you that plays a factor on how far you can go. If a fish hits and runs off to the sides we just start pulling them in. It is common for me to have 4 or 5 boards each side so I just plan on getting things out of the way when necessary.

Hi @@Reel2ReelOutdoors, So you don't have a rule of thumb? Traffic notwithstanding, in the case of divers and planer boards something like: length of line out to the high diver(in feet)/2 is minimum length to let out the inside board (which in turn, controls the other board positions)? Thanks

@@scottgarbs7761 I would say as far as I can get them away from the boat. The bigger boats are definitely easier as the rods are much higher off the water. But we are adjusting them every time we pass a boat or turn.

As a newer lake Michigan salmon fisherman.. fishing out of new buffalo Michigan.. in a small 17 foot boater run 6 lines and when we catch a fish on we clear both inside lines no matter what to avoid tangles. Weve had a hot bite going right now. Caught a nice brown trout and over 25 cohos over the weekend
