For some reason i keep calling it "requiem of vengeance: in stead of "for vengeance" my bad
There is a model number, it belongs to the EFGF it’s the RX-78EX, it’s a prototype test unit. You can see it has EZ8 similarities like the head & shoulders. It has a stripped down guncannon beam rifle, a movable triple beam saber rack with rod attachment possibly for a beam javelin or beam scythe a shoulder mounted gating gun like the one the Slave Wraith full armor uses. It’s also ground type only meaning it can only use its backpack thrusters for mobility.
I dont understand how i missed the model number when its right on its chest. Thanks for the correction, also hope it is a beam javelin weapon since its a neat idea that few ms use
I get pre-Zephrantes vibes from it looking at the cockpit and legs, so it looks like they're trying to retcon a lot of different suits into this

I know what you mean. In some shots it looks like a really well animated 3D series and then other times it looks like a pretty pre-rendered cutscene from a game from like.. 2008. Like it’s not BAD, but something about the movements lack weight or something.
Potentials for GBO3?
Going by what we have so far, I get IGLOO 2.0 vibes. As its largely Zeon based and focuses on their side dealing with the Federation. Although, unlike IGLOO, I do not expect any over specialized or rare units like the Zudah and so forth. As for the Gundam, it kind of is like the Full Armor Slave Wraith with shoulder gatling, but the three beam sabers confuse me. It would be stupid, but what if the Gundam wielded all 3 like the Beginner Gundam for reasons.
It could be that the Beam Sabers are each single use. Instead of getting charged by the backpack, they're just drawn, used until their charge is depleted, and disposed of. If they're something like that, having more than two would make sense. Having only three single-use sabers would then be because there wasn't space for more.
That gundam looks lile a cross between the gp01 and the ground gundam
The Gundam looks like it's armor is lighter maybe for speed or to improve movement it might be a ground unit that's been rushed into the field.
NGL The gundam shown feels like the prototype gundam due to the color scheme. The prototype was largely white, black, and gray compared to the RX-78-2 variant however the eyes are throwing me off a bit here. Like the others in the chat down low, it could've been a rushed model due to the frame of the gundam itself being far more advanced than it's GM counterparts. The extra beam sabers might signify that this Gundam can possibly use it via throwing like Exia does with it's beam daggers, however considering it's the 1 year war that seems VERY unlikely.

It’s not going to be a canon to UC like what they did to thunderbolt, origin and the movie Cucuruz Doan's which they made as AU (alternate universe/another universe) of the original UC.

I have a theory for having 3 beam sabers, its either the spear/scythe or they could be taking a page out of 00 and using something different, beam daggers, something that can be thrown or used in closer range CQC than using a beam saber and closes the distance between the saber (heat/beam), the heat ax and then the daggers.

Sieg Zeon, got my zeon shirt all crisp for this! Two of my favorite gundam series cover both sides so naturally I'm happy about this even if it's netflix.
Maybe the Gundam pilot has a habit of throwing or dropping his beam saber so engineers were like, "Ya know what? He's an ace, if he wants 3 he can have 3."
I mean you had that one whacko in Knights and Magic who had at least 12 swords strapped onto his mech.

the gundam is probably a gundam ground type that was damaged but then repaired with parts from a space type unit based off of the slimer look i would say the gm light armor as it has some similarities in the legs and some parts of the body the gatling gun and beam sabers i have no answers for except for its looks cool why not or that it has 3 arms with the third being hidden or its another rx-78
The Zaku's proportions remind me of Zaku Warriors from Gundam Seed; their color schemes remind me of Red Shoulders from Votoms.

I’m very much excited for this, but I’m still in the middle about the Gundam It looks cool, same for the weapons of war, but they head into arms look too small or maybe it’s just me, but if this does get a model kit I’m excited for it.

if it uses its sabers like the beginning that would be crazy. In another form like a kit or game might do the propotions more justice

A few Gundam have Vulcan/gatling guns built into the head camera. Like Gundam Zero and Zero Wing, off the top of my head.
the movie is going to be Fire but that Gundam looks like a mix of the full armor gundam and blue Destiny 2
Every time the Gundam will be on screen, I'll be cheering for it to destroy the main characters! I'd love to see the GMs show up and aid the Gundam in whipping out the red wolves! Normally I don't like a more "invulnerable and force of nature" style of antagonists... But this is one of those times where I can say that yes, make the Gundam the mosnter Zeon sees it as!

The US company should leave Bandai alone because the US companies like Disney simply destroy the uniqueness and originality of these Japanese art contents like manga, anime and monster films and warrior films. They even destroyed American creations like Starwars.
True, but thats by people who want to "adjust" and "change" it to their woke agenda, besides I think Bandai is going to give american companies and localizers the finger and likely do the sub titles themselves.

Simply disagree and point what is being disagreed because it is unclear. There are many Japanese manga and anime and film creators that do not like the distortion of the original underlining theme and world of their creation that the original fans loved, by the film production, toy and publishing companies in Japan and the US and many of them took “Godzilla minus one” as antithesis to that type of distortion by those film, toy and publishing companies with the propaganda agenda of these companies and alphabet agencies which they call it marketing, in other words, propagating. These distortions of the original themes are killing and the Japanese creators are flighting back. “The silent service” film version of Japanese manga, by Japanese creator, Kaiji Kawaguchi,has Netflix series after a film was released by Toho. Japanese people watching how much the creator like Kaiji Kawaguchi will fight for his original theme of “the silent service”
This is being created by two Japanese studios, Sunrise and Safehouse. The director is a German guy.

Animation was done by Japanese but the story line and everything else was done by the US company. It will be same path that the US companies have destroyed the uniqueness and originality of those Japanese art contents. Godzilla is just one of good examples.

This looks bad at a conceptual level; yet another cash in on the “beloved children’s character as slasher” trend that’s been going on since 2023 or so; Banana Splits, Pooh, Mickey Mouse, and now Gundam. Plus it’s also apparently raw Zeon-wank, without the nuance applied to stuff like IGLOO, let alone War in the Pocket, 08th MS Team, Curucruz Doan’s Island, etc.
No Federation perspective for one, and these characters seem to be dyed in the wool gritty grunts who have probably contributed to atrocities for no good reason. But hey, the Goufies probably love gritty grunts so it’s prolly made for them (I think doing an FRS Aina, Karen, or Kiki would have been better and have appeal to non-Goufies), not a more general audience, which is a bad idea when this is the first Western-coproduced Gundam thing since SD Gundam Force and could leave a bad taste in people’s mouths; not only fans but also directors.
It also seems to add yet another Gundam to the OYW, which in canon there’s only one left to be addressed (model 8), but in the “alternate U.C.” stuff, (which this series apparently is), there are much more (comparable to Cosmic Era at the very least), taking the shine off of the OYW a little, making the Zeta duology lose some impact. The OYW is also so overdone that the newer stuff is put in an alternate universe, and I think even that is overplayed. Even the earlier , canon productions at least justified why Amuro Ray didn’t get the improved Gundams (the prototype was destroyed, it was more or less just made of spare parts), while the alternate U.C. stuff does not. Due to the “beloved children’s character as slasher” thing, the Gundam also looks extremely sinister, more than even the Titans would admit to. In general “evil Gundams” seem to usually be piloted by more sympathetic characters, and contrast a heroic Gundam. There are few exceptions, such as the Devil Gundam, which was sentient itself. While this is a fun and rare occurrence, it is wasted in such a terrible idea.
The character designs are also going to be extremely dated in 15 years; they seem very “of its time” in this series, and not just the lead. Marvel’s history with “fad characters” (and there are dozens) varies, but not all of them have left positive impacts. Many have left no impact at all or a negative impact.
But after all, the road to heaven is paved with bad intentions, so maybe this will actually be a bad premise done well? The cinematography of the trailer is ambiguous enough that these could be villain protagonists rather than attempts to make Zeon look nice.
(Reader’s note: Goufies are the Gundam equivalent of Tankies; regressive fans who are U.C. purists (especially early U.C.) and have overlap with Anti-SJWs (like bashing WFM), named because of their obsession with 08th MS Team)

I simply less interested because of the main character. Not so much because the MC is female, but more because of how modern entertainment feels they need to portray females in action roles. And that's to make them "badass" and it just comes off cheesy, and not earned. This character has an edgy haircut from 15 years ago, talks like a man or rather clearly trying* to sound like a man and has the testosterone levels to match. I'm betting they will even elude to her being gay in some way. We have great blue prints for awesome females is actions Motoko, Beatrix Kiddo, Trinity, Eowyn etc.. None of these women adopt overly masculine personas and turned out iconic. Since covid maybe even a couple years before there has been a dramatic decline in writing and character quality, nothing feels like anything has a soul anymore and rather Just the use of popular titles filled with algorithm based story and characters. I just don't really have hope for anything these days.

@@DIEGhostfish As if there's any consistent standard for guys' haircuts, though, no, Ripley's haircut was and is popular with men whereas the Gundam girl's cut is popular with women, by the sheer fact of their common use the Gundam girl is more feminine than Ripley judging by the haircut.
And that's ignoring the fact that the original Gundam series featured a woman that looked more masculine than both that the original series creator had to struggle against the studio to let be animated because the higher-ups thought she looked too masculine. To even imply a complaint about competent women in Gundam, let alone ones that break gender norms, proves you to be a fake fan instantly.

Do you know why most entertainment is garbage now? It’s because your average person is so incredibly bored with their lives that they get excited for anything and support junk entertainment. The creators make lots of money off of crap and they keep spewing out more junk.
We have all heard the phrase for the last 15-20 years: “Speak with your wallet”. Yet nobody actually follows that logic but a small handful of us.

Honestly the Gundam doesnt look finished. Maybe zeon began the attack before it was ginished proper.
