    Thanks, Yovette. This was really helpful! There really aren't that many tutorials about palm trees in oil and the ones I watched didn't explain it or show it as well as you did.

    Hey Yovette! Thank you for your videos. They are very helpful, especially since I’m left handed. I wanted to ask how do you accommodate being left handed but learning from right handed people? I follow a lot of painters and all of them, except you, are right handed. Do you “do the opposite”, learn to do certain strokes with your right hand, or learn to do the stroke with your left hand but in the same motion as a righty? This is something I run into a lot, ESPECIALLY with the knife.

      Well I must tell you Sara, I really struggled through my certification with Bob Ross trying to learn from all my right-handed teachers so I know what you are going through. I definitely had to adjust all my strokes, especially with learning the knife process. Watch this video and I think it may help you. This is something that I discovered not too long ago. Wish I had known about it when I had started my Bob Ross training. Let me know how it works for you. 🌹th-cam.com/video/RuAr4aOz1-Q/w-d-xo.html

    I tried doing the palm trees with a filbert and its harder than I thought - the shapes look ok, but the edges look blocky instead of seeing individual leaves like with a fan brush.Regardless its still good practice

    • @PaintingWithYovette
      @PaintingWithYovette  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I still have not tried it yet Dedgy, but it is on my list of things to try. I think maybe using a synthetic filbert may do the trick. It will be interesting for sure.
