Yes, İ was looking for the channel, which İ obviously subscribe to, but every time İ typed a letter (t-u-r-k_c-h-a), the channel didn't get suggested at all.
even when İ already had "turk cha" with only the letter "p" missing! 😣

As a female, wow, this was food for thought! It's always a wild notion to come across people who've never seen firsthand a particular kind of other human. The quote attributed to Br. Tolotos as to whether all women were swathed in a beam of light -- really moved me. So reverent an idea of one human about another.
Thank you for this interesting story of such a man, and I look forward to many more of your channel!!

in egyptian paterikon if i am not wrong were described stories about monastics who never saw women and were adopted by relatives or strangers who were monks. i also heard other stories from non-christian people about those who lived in isolation and never saw women

Amazing video! Greek monasteries are all male or female only, with the exception of priests who can also visit the female only monasteries. This is to promote celibacy and to avoid the earthly vices. But Athos is so unique for being a collection of monasteries with people from many nationalities.

Hello! The region is called Chalkidiki or Halkidiki not Khaldiki. In Greek, it is written as 'Χαλκιδική'.

After a harsh arrival to the world he found true peace and got closer to God's divinity in the Holy mountain of Athos until it was time to join him in Heaven.

Indeed a very interesting life story. I read a lot about Athos. A very interesting place and a unique cultural gem. I would love to visit one day but sadly I think non-Christian visitors are not allowed?

@@turkchap no even though it is an Orthodox monastic community non Orthodoxs are welcomed too. The monks will saw hospitality as long as you follow the rules and show respect
But because it's an Orthodox community, there are people who are fluent in Greek,Serbian,Bulgarian,Russian but I don't know if you'll find many English speakers
