    Awesome collection of waterfalls. They are each beautiful and unique in their own way. We visited McKinney Falls when we passed through Texas on our road trip. It was a super cool place to visit. Take care and have a great day.

      Texas boasts stunning waterfalls that rival even those in Hawaii. While creating this video, I discovered that the true gem of waterfall wonders lies in Zimbabwe 🇿🇼. Crafting this content was a joy, and I'm thrilled you appreciated McKinney Falls.

    I have been to Hamilton Pool, Gorman Falls, Pedernales Falls, Blanco Falls, and McKinney Falls. I would like to see Dolan Falls on the Devils River. I may do the paddling adventure there next year.

      @hikingwithjackieboy the last time went was when it had drought. The falls looked grey, never made a video about it :-/

    My wife is a photographer and she has beautiful photos of Hamilton Pool. We have also enjoyed several trips to Pedernales Falls State Park and have seen the Fort Worth Water Gardens. The other falls on the video look like awesome places to visit. Thanks for sharing!

      That’s awesome, what’s kind of camera does she use? We enjoyed highlighting all these places. I know Texas has some more waterfalls that we plan on checking out later this year :-)

      She used a Canon Mark IV 5D with L Series lenses until recently. She now shoots with a Canon EOS R5C mirrorless. She’s also an FAA Part 107 licensed drone pilot and uses a Mavic 3 Pro in her business.

      @@doughutchison6382 she’s got a nice setup. Does she do professional work? I started on Canon, but primarily shoot using Panasonic Lumix series. Thats cool she got her part 107 license. It’s nice and can get approved to fly faster.

      @@MrSTravelQuest Yes, she’s a published freelance writer and photographer. She’s worked with numerous magazines, worked as a co-editor for a magazine, and published a coffee table pictorial book all about Texas law enforcement. She also owns a real estate photography and drone business photographing houses and ranches in north Texas. I retired after serving 39 years in law enforcement and I work with her as she goes about her day.

    • @MrSTravelQuest
      @MrSTravelQuest  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That’s amazing! I figured she had to do real estate with the drone. I bet you help her with her gigs and equipment. I do photography and videography. I focus on weddings and quince’s. I bet she has tons of lenses and memory cards. I can only imagine doing it full time. Since you’re retired, what’s been your favorite place to visit?

    If you're a local, its "Perden-alice" Falls. I realize that's not at all how its spelled, lol

    The only one I’ve been too is McKinney Falls- I just ran (“ran” 😂) my first 10k there. Exhilarating to jump over the falls.
    Campground is really nice too. I recommend spots 62/65 if you are traveling with someone because they face each other on a loop!
    My 4 year old had trouble with the hills biking and like a ding dong I left the “follow me tandem” bike attachment at home- but older kids can ride around the loop over and over!
    We’ve stay their twice- one in November and once in April.
    November was nice because no bugs 🤣

    • @MrSTravelQuest
      @MrSTravelQuest  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Wow, hitting the 10k mark is impressive! I can imagine jumping into the falls felt incredibly refreshing after that invigorating run.
      We love going the McKinney during the fall and spring time. It’s a beautiful park and almost forget your near Austin city limits. I love that most of the trails are shaded, which is nice.

      @@MrSTravelQuest Oh I didn't go over the falls.. lol I'm too much of a weeny for that.. but we ran across them for our course.
      It's lovely! A good halfway point for us to get to the coast - I'm sure we will go back many times over the years.
      We leave for a 13 state summer adventure in a few weeks!
      Happy and safe travels!
