@@hikingwithjackieboy I love most of the parks I visit. I love Seminole Canyon and Hueco Tanks. I just can’t visit those in the Texas heat 🥵.Lost Maples we enjoy visiting during October/November 😊
Canyon of the Eagles park in Burnet is cool too. Not far from Inks lake and Longhorn Cavern, It’s no state park. But it’s a great summer spot. Nearby is also the Vanishing River Cruise. Where you tour the lakeside cliffs, and can see Bald Eagles, and Ospreys.
Canyon of the Eagles park in Burnet is a fantastic destination! It's conveniently close to both Inks Lake and Longhorn Cavern, making it a great addition to any trip in the area. We always love finding spots outside state parks, thanks for the recommendations.
In Fredericksburg, we enjoyed a variety of culinary delights. For burgers, we dined at Burger Burger and Alamo Springs Cafe. If you're craving German-inspired cuisine, The Auslander served delicious chicken fried steak and sausages, complemented by excellent German beer options. Macs BBQ provided a decent brisket meal, a convenient option after visiting Old Tunnel State Park to see the bats. We look forward to revisiting Fredericksburg and experiencing all the top attractions. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We're passionate about encouraging others to discover and savor everything Texas has to offer.
Thanks for this yall are great!! I have been wanting to get up to Possum Kingdom for a while now and after seeing your video I am going to book it for this summer. Thanks again!!
We hope you visit, it's a wonderful park. We need to revisit that park, been itching to kayak it. Thanks for watching and let us know what parks you plan to visit this summer.
Please take your family to Caddo Lake State Park. The kayaking trails are amazing and the hiking trails are great to. I don't think they have places to swim because of the wildlife in the water, but this is one of our favorites.
Thanks for making this video and I’m checking out all your other videos as well showing my wife all the cool camping spots thanks for all the hard work

Hey Ms. Mel! You can book campsite 5 months in advance and day passes 30 days in advance. Depending on the terrain you might invest in hiking boots. I started off just wearing sneakers 😊. We have tons of parks near us and would just check them out. South Llano SP and Lost Maples are just two hours away from us. Abilene State Park is 1hr away. I know you and the family would love it. We’re in South Texas right now checking out all the State Park beaches 😀, I’ll have those videos coming out soon. If you have any questions just holler, I’m happy to help out.

Devil’s water hole isn’t that deep. Many of us have hit bottom. Jumping from the top rock. Up the creek from there is a wicked water fall, after a good rain.
Last time we went was in October and it was nice. I know with drought the water levels could be lower. We look forward in revisiting Burnet Texas soon.
