Gambling is a game design to lose Eventually they all lose That is why cash game is still around 1M for last 50 years otherwise, cash game has to be minimum 10M each just to sit on the table by now
lmao no.... this is a ez write off and how many people gonna go to lodge now to play after seeing him punt off all this money? They know what they doing when you only seeing hands of him losing ez money and nothing else.... They are manipulating the situation you see and its only good for his business!
He's terrible... but I've learned recently it is not just A, B and C games, it is A, B and C PERSONALITIES! There is a unfocused player, a funtimes player, a serious player, a nit player. It's crazy I'm just seeing this at 50... ......how is Xuan in this game? The last video of hers I saw, she had less than 10K, and she is not very good.
Bulldog's chip shuffling is one of the more annoying things I've seen on one of these streams. Does the Lodge cover a chunk of Doug's losses or something? That was pretty brutal. Tesla gets sooooo many luckbox suckouts! Showing the 2 of diamonds was pretty savvy though. It was obvious he was bluffing when he left the table and started laughing though.
Reminds me of when Brad Owen had a stretch where he was losing 300k-400k a stream repeatedly a couple years ago. Taras stacked alot of those Bradley Dollars. People said he was serving meatloaf at the Lodge food table to get back on his feet.
Ive never seen anyone so happy to lose so much money, Whats Hillarious us he loses so much when hes getting bluffed and cant call. But he equally punts as much when he has nothing.
at 49:12 C’mon, Doug, If you had carefully looked at the upper-right side of Airball’s neck, you would have seen signs of his wildly racing heart-looks like at least 120 bpm.
48:50 If Polk wasn't so performative, where everything he does is with one eye on the viral video, he could have seen Nik's jugular pounding out of his neck at about 165bpm...That's called a 'tell' in poker, Doug...FFS.
Ok, but is his heart pounding because he's bluffing? Or is his heart pounding because he's about to get paid? That's the problem with most "tells", most of them just indicate anxiety which can mean all sorts of things.
@ It's coupled with the fact that Polk showed, THEN the heavy breathing and the heart pounding; that's the reaction when you know you're beat and are trying desperately not to show it.
when you make a bunch of plays and get caught you end up playing the hands ur good bad... this fold of the flush is just proof why you should take a step back when this happens.
" Doug Polk Losing $2 Million over a few sessions, only showing losing hands and not showing any hands when he wins therefore negating the said loss of $2 million " that should be the title instead of the clickbait !
the best player i ever knew had a saying, "The key to poker is aggression, the secret to poker is folding" i never really could figure out what that meant but i'm starting to get the idea.
In poker, often two groups of smart players advocate for complete opposite strategies. As luck and human behavior play a significant role, it's often OK to not overthink and just do whatever you want.
Just goes to show that once the winds of 'luck' start blowing against you , no matter how much skill or talent you possess , one just starts to melt away against the forces of nature...Once you realise within few hands , that 'it's just not your day today' , no shame in walking away from the table...
That‘s defenitely not the mindset you should be having as the best player at the table. When you‘re not in the mood sure, but the majority of these hands win him a lot of money in the long run.
@valentinb.117 Agreed, but the paradox here is a player playing with limited money infront of him, It's not infinite money to have the long term math kicking in one's favour..
It's almost like the stakes and bluffs come around full circle. No one hardly ever bluffs at low stakes, medium and high stakes is where people do, and yet also at high roller, people rarely bluff like that. Maybe super high roller it goes back to actual bluffs again? 🤷♂️
The story no one tells about Brad Booth being staked by Guy was why.... Doug wasnt even in the live scene then. Oh it has almost nothing to do with Brads poker skills.
On the first hand shown... Isn't Doug's hand dead the moment he flips it over? Charles still has chips behind. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong about this. I've shown my cards in a cash game when my heads-up opponent is all-in and cannot act again, but it was always my understanding that if you expose your hand when other players can still act, you hand is dead.
@@QuandaleDaVinci That doesn't matter. He could say that and still shove all-in. The point is that his opponent hasn't bet enough to put Doug all-in so there is potentially action remaining when Doug exposes his hand. I suppose at nose-bleed levels in an invite-only room this is acceptable. In a public cardroom playing 2-5, your hand would be dead if you did this.
Uh, yes, if they keep it a meat hanging locker temperatures I'm sure that A/C bill is about 70K a year just by itself! But look on the bright side! If you're overweight, the shivering helps take off pounds fast!
Doug normally reads well but I’m not sure his logic on the diamonds hand. Being shown the 2 of diamonds I think you can eliminate 2 of the 4 hands that beat him. 10/2 diamonds and Jack/2 diamonds. Only leaves Ace/2 and King/2
He knew Doug didn’t have a set and wouldn’t call with a set or worse. He knew he had a flush which is why showing the 2 is awesome and very difficult to call because it’s designed to give Doug the illusion that he can beat the 2 of diamonds. Doug knows what it’s designed to do thus the fold.
@@ibanez510 so he was weak but acted strong, you know how hard it is to be weak and act weak ? nearly impossible, doug should have figured it out , when people are acting strong they ain't looking for a call.
I lose a ten dollar stack and I’m absolute gutted. If i lose because i made a mistake i usually leave because some days your brain and luck conspire against you
Question. We seem to always see the same people playing in these games on this program and hustler. Are they really good poker players or just gamblers. I can’t imagine having that much money to just throw around week after week.
You have to call everything against Airball. Sure, you pay him off when he has it, but he mostly doesn't have it and he over bets the pot with his bluffs, so the long run you will always be up.
Dougs betting range on flop is LITTLE. Airball kinda pointed awareness to it. but rewatch this, most of those mid hands that ended up beating him wouldve been kicked out on a correctly sized bet. I think Dougs tactics may be trying to judge peoples hands by their bets, which wont work as the game nears end. Especially if tilted.
