We dont take the relays seriously because we've been spoilt over the years with the fastest runners. We will learn the lesson the hard way. We're not the US and so we have no depth. The Golden Era is coming to an end and so we will have to be patient and accept we may never see the likes of Shelly, Elaine, Shericka and VCB for a long time. Ti is being very kind to our star athletes by placing all the blame on Jamaica's organization. But our stars have to take some of the blame here as well. Each of these countries has a limited amount of time between knowing who is available and making their submissions. The athletes also train all over the place and those who have opened their season are also flying all over the place. Yes, the JA organizers should setup a training meet, but ultimately our stars just opted not to show.
With Noah Lyles, Femke Bol, Letsile Tebogo, Simbine, Shaunee Miller, Stephen Gardiner, Wade Van Niekerk, Marilady Paulinho, etc. made appearances for their country. Ackeem Blake, Oblique, Kishane, Stacey Ann Williams, Sherika, Elaine, Shelly, and last year's world champion Atonio Watson opted not to show up (I'm sure they would have been selected if they were available). I do understand that these athletes may want to focus on individual glory, but we can also split the blame here, especially when the big names are willing to show up for their country in the relays.

To qualify and win, Jamaica needs to identify the best relay teams make-up, and the correct running order. As such, the athletes need relay camps far more than they need World Relays!
    1. Be reminded that Track and Field is a business.
    2. Have you considered the risk/reward dynamics for top tier athletes, if they get injured at the world relays?
    3. Will Top Tier athletes risk getting injured 3 months before the Olympics, for the chance of earning $10,000 USD? Is it worth it?
    4. Is qualification available for all these relay events at the actual olympic game? Yes.
4.5 Do olympic qualifying times ran between December 31 2022 and June 30 2024 also qualify the teams. Yes.
Herego, some of these teams are already qualified.
    5. Considering the gamesmanship, (pun intended), perpetrated by the Bahamians while hosting the 2023 Carifta games....are you so sure that Jamaican athletes are motivated to go to the Bahamas, or to support them in any way?

I'm sure the athletes that didn't go to give Jamaica a chance at these relays regret it now because now is less people going to the Olympics if they don't qualify tomorrow.

From the IAAF website the top 8 teams from the IAAF world championships last year have already made Paris 2024 Olympics. However, I was told that there is another shot but it depends on the qualifying time and position today. Basically Jamaica 4 x 100m women , 4 x 400 m men and 4 x 400 m women as well as there mixed 4 x 400 m have and outside shot. Jamaica have already qualified for the olympics in both 4 x400 m men and women as well as 4 x 100 m women teams based on the qualifying standards set by the IAAF
