My boy oblique showed up and showed out watch that 100
It's a straight no curve ,its hard to judge from a straight 200m
T i think Sir Coach Mills and Oblique will consider the 200m but i would rather they Consider that for next year onward. That 100m i need him to take that title to Jamaica 🇯🇲 right outa St Thomas 🏃♂️✌
🔥 🔥 🔥 Seville the best 200m runner in Jamaica
Greetings T.
It requires more energy to go around a curve than in a straight line. Imagine driving a car around a 400m field once or driving the same distance in a straight path, you would go faster along the straight path all other things being equal!
The 200 meters run by Oblique is to prepare him by strengthening him for the 100 meters. He was weak in his previous races and utmost him not to medal. His 200 strengthen if good enough will allow him to have a stronger 100 meters finish
I understand why he'd be surprised. He ran 20.17 his last race a few weeks ago and that was with a +1.9 wind. With 0 wind, thats maybe a 20.3. Today, hes running overseas and maybe where he is in his training, he cud be just focusing on the 100m and using the 200m to strengthen his top end speed in the 100m. Coupled with the fact that its not the best track and he's running into a -1.1 headwind, I see why he could be surprised.
As for him competing in the 200m in Paris, I dont know. Unless he plans to run 19.7, its maybe not best. Training for 200m is a diff beast. Theres a reason why Glen Mills had Zharnel run in the 200m last yr and not Oblique. I still think he should run the 200m at the JA Trials though. Thats a sure Top 3 and then he can decide after if he wants to run or not.
T did you see what Clark did in the 400m hurdles 😮💨 he’s probably gonna go 46 high this year 48:11 season opener
The youth strong man. He's coming...
Seville will run a 200m on the curve soon and will go sub 20 again. He looks so good.
Fantastic run by Oblique, sadly tho it won't be registered as a PB
The curve is way harder because to run the curve u have a lot of adjustments to do to run in a line is way easier back in high school when the coaches say we doing 100 off the curve me get mad doing 6 to 8 100 off the curve man but when I’m doing that in a straight line 8 100 back to back is 1.2.3 for me
This kind of track is a nightmare!
In my experience, a straight track is always easier and faster, but good curve runners are get a relative advantage on the curve.
Blessings T, are you going to attend the French Foray????
Thank you as usual for your in-depth report T. So sad about Ackera Nugent. Pray that she is ok. It has always been my understanding that you run a faster 200 meters on a straight track than on the usual curved track. There are less mental issues to concentrate on. For example, who is on your left, who is on your right, who is in front of you, who is behind you, who is making up the stagger, can you make up the stagger, what is your situation coming off the curve, are you ahead of the pack or behind the pack. With the straight 200, get a good start, go through your drive phase, straighten up , knees up high and straight to the finish line. That's just my opinion. Please ask more accomplished athletes for their opinion. I have never run a straight 200. At least not on a track.
Just based on the laws of physics, it should be easier to run 200m straight vs.on a curve. You should be able to accelerate easier and faster on the straight, but the downside could be not familiar with the best way to execute a 200m race on the straight.
He should run 200m for speed endurance training for 100m but he doesn't have a chance over 200m with the other runners in the event its too stacked.
He is just being modest T, haha. But everyone can see that he is in such a great shape this season.
It is not a matter of Adidas having it in a stadium, originally it was in a stadium but they want something different. Unfortunate for Ackera however, the world record holder & former world record holder both ran. Hope Seville does more 200M.
Yeah, especially since they did the 200 and 150 on the straight...they can do a better job with the construction though...
I am not liking this different. They need to host the meet in a stadium. This makeshift track is not it.
@@taiekehaughton8290 having this type of meet midseason makes no sense. It makes you wonder why adidas is doing thi$$$$.
I need to see Oblique on a proper Track to decide ! Too many 19.5x and 19.6 out there !
Good run Seville..
Something isn't looking right with Watson he keeps running out of Gas too early in Races..
It is likely that adjustments will be made around the curve there running the straight will produce faster times . It is a no brainer
Where the meet with Kishane
ONE SEVILLE!!!!.I don't think the time would be recorded as his pb but that was one that i expected of him...T weh yuh seh 9.7 in the 100?.....
Where is Nkrumie and what is he up to lately?
Athletes should boycott the make shifts event venue
Probably it depended on what time he ran and how he performed publically. They might still be unsure.
As I said last year running the 200m will help improve his performance in the 100m.
Wish it was run with the curve. Good run though 👏
oblique need to stick to 100m hey these ppl always want ppl do every event leave the man alone man.
It's simple there's no curve in the straight in the 200
Yup, he did...
Mabe he is surprised of his time because it's a straight track and he has been practicing on a circular track.
🇯🇲🔒
Seville Has a Lot More To Give In Both 100 & 200 Meters.
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏽😀
Mr Seville will break 9.7 for the 100 and his coach knows it
track ackera is SALT! argument done she hit the hurdles and drop
❤
Agree with you. This track is a joke and Adidas needs to do better. Watching the long jump and pole vault on the elevated track was a bit nightmarish to be honest and must have been the same for the athletes. I was like "this run up area needs to be twice as wide in case there's a mishap".
Agreed. A big company like Adidas can and should do better. In fact, they can afford to OWN their own stadium let alone being able to rent a proper one. What they are doing with this ridiculous makeshift track is unacceptable and it is dangerous for the athletes. I hope Nugent is ok.
It's easier because some of us suck on the curve
I'm running slow times because of the curve
Never saw a straight 200m it’s weird. I feel it’s harder.
if seville goes 200m he's a dummy WHICH MEDAL THIS GIRL MAD! 200M STACK MY GIRL
We nave nobody fi run 200m so might as well him try. Last time every Jamaican sent never pass first round
Anyone thinks he Seville is still dipping early???
Leave The Studio.
What was the wind factor?
It was a -1
On the curve that would be 19.7
He will still be slower in the regular 200m curve. All 200 m straight is a faster race than the 200 m curve. Seville is the fastest humans in Jamaica (Man or Woman).
Who said the straight is easier never run before better never do track
OBLIQUE DOESNT NEED TO GO 200M EVEN IF THERE IS NO SUB 20 RUNNERS
You run faster on the straight than a curve. Centripital force isnt in play. This cant be a pb.
How about the Addidas weird looking attire for the women?
Our transition phase done now we are getting back into our glory. Asfa and bolt retire too early and yohan dont listen so the transition get fuk up
Hmmm he never fully recovered from his injuries
Asafa prime had long past. Bolt stated that he accomplished all that he needed to do. He no longer had any motivation..
Did you want them to run forever??
Asafa time was up but not Bolt's.
@@TAM.w39 i know but Bolt wasnt motivated anymore after the triple triple in the Olympics back in 2016.
oblique still a dip too early!! somebody guh tell glen mills to fix this!! thats one reason he didnt get a medal in world champs etc.
He lost form on the last 50 meters. He’s weak, or maybe him need fi shed/cut. Him look big…
Ackera fell because she was trying too hard and got out of sync. The track had nothing to do with it.
Can you explain to me how you know the track had nothing to do with her falling?
@@neilaubyn I can't answer that question but I can defend part of the person's statement.. When Nugent won the World U20 100mH, one of the other competitors fell because she lost her rhythm trying to keep up with Nugent.. her name is Ditaji Kambundji
Not a real 200m. Need the curve
The track looks so fake congratulations Seville good job.
Boycott this kind of track...straight is easier... common sense....but not an elevated track without railing some places. The psycology of trying not to fall off will slow you down !( Stairfobia )to the young !
