  • This BMS works perfectly when charging and balancing cells but if I try to use any of that stored power it will shut down almost immediately.
Does anyone have any answers for this problem.
I wonder if the diodes are ok on the back of it!🤔

I had the BMS Replaced as it was at fault

Hi did you manage to do an installation video for the Seplos BMS. I have two GBLI5001 batteries that are also not working and was hoping to see the final result

@@JamesyboyAtWork I have one finished yes but atm it’s not connected to an inverter :(
I’ll get something set up asap

The problem is your cell diff. It needs an active balancer

@@Bjarnehps all cells were balanced with the i8 balance charger, the problem was the BMS itself and replacing it cured the problem. It’s been working now ever since.

You better go through all 100 settings. I finally got mine working. It took a while. All it takes is one of those settings to be switched to the wrong thing and you’re done for. I won’t buy any more of them. 150 mA of balance current is not enough if you wanna charge 280’s over 55.0V. No problems for the last six months or so. I have three of them.

Iv got a 14s that works perfectly. I might download the firmware from that and use it on this one.

I can't clearly see whay errors you have there, can you take ascreenshot and post that? My 15S packs balance so well when charged that I am within the 20mV range so my BMS's don't even get to balance anymore.

Have you still got my number? Send a msg on what’s app ;) I’ll add the photo

Hi Azz, sorry mate, no I don't but I did follow the link you posted. Will check later today once I'm done working.

@@smartazz Azzy, This will probably run smoother via email or whatsapp, in the about section of my channel you can find my email, But, from those messages there is a low voltage alarm and an undervoltage alarm that is being tripped, that means that the low voltage settings are incorrect, the other thing is that both cells 1 and 2 are not populated, I do not know if this is how it should be, but, on my packs.
(I have 15S Enersol) but they use almost the same BMS, my cell 16 is open, this could be affecting things?
BMS setting I would suggest are:
If you work at 3.5V / cell which is what I would suggest for a max voltage @ 49V
Do not charge to a higher Voltage because there is very little capacity to be gained and this just stresses the batteries a lot more.
      A resting voltage or float should be 3.35V / cell @ 46.9V
Then, your cutoff voltage should be 3.0V / cell @ 42V
That would mean that you low voltage alarm should be 3.1V / cell @ 43.4V.
Your battery full voltage should then be set to 49V. This will make sure that the BMS recalibrates to 100% capacity.
Set you cell delta to 20mV And set you balancing to 3.45V / cell.
Your solar charge controller should be set to Bulk up to 49.5V.
This will make sure to trip the battery recalibration to 100% (because we do not charge to 3.55 or 3.6V / cell)
Then, Absorb for 1.5 hours at 49.5V, this will give the cells time to balance.
Do not keep the voltage there it does not help other than to keep the batteries at a higher SOC and create excessive heat.
Thereafter, go to float at 46.9V. (When this happens your batteries will discharge to this voltage and remain there, not stressing the cells)
When my batteries go down to float they are still at 99% capacity so, you do not loose much capacity.
Let me know if you need anymore help.
Andy has most of the parameters up on his website for the seplos Just remember that it is 16S for him.
