Hey Jeff, you were near my claims. Next time stop by and say "Hi." Rudy red clay material (Muddy River deposit) is great for nuggets ! Most are what I call "dirty nuggets" because of the heavy oxides and quartz attached. If you notice, most of the specimens are coarse, which indicates they haven't traveled far from host. Some nuggets have square pockets, left over from pyrite that has long been oxidized away. Enjoy !
Hi JEFF.. That is fantastic that the groups you took out all go gold each..!! Except for one..!!!! Not bad in all..! Thanks for sharing all this excitement from your premium patrons. So common let's go on another adventure..!!! Yeee Haaa. Cheers Tony. From the land down under Australia 🇦🇺. 👍🇦🇺⛏🍺
Hey Jeff: Next time, could you use the Jewlers Loop on those nuggets when you show them to the camera, please? Would make it a quite a bit more interesting and exciting to see the beautiful details in these just discovered raw nuggets!
Mate don't you, Silver Spurs and Jack go anywhere cause my bucket list has me defecting Australia within the next 12 mths to come down and join you guys on one of your weekends.. I'd like to slip you a topo map of this big brown land secretly and after your inspection, go sample before you come down.... Keep up the great work guys, I look forward to nothing more than my fix of Ask Jeff Williams.
Wow you lost it ice fishing in the dirt, I was waiting to see some drill sampling. As a tree hugger what about the plants , will youeavr those in place and work around them. Can you harvest the plants from your claim?
Really cool video!Hey Jeff keep up the good work and thanks for all the info! Its been really helpful watching all your videos and i fill if i never stumbled upon your videos i would be lightyears behind where im at!Also Thanks to your wife for here part in all of your videos(its my understanding She captures all the fotage).May God Bless the both of You and may He keep You! Be safe out there and may God Bless the both of You and may He keep You Both!!!
Few question, will you make a water sump at your lower level. You should try a posthole digger for the softer stuff, it should work like a drill if done right. Do you detect for gasses and how deep down is this mine?
Good job on that claim looks like you picked a good spot , see if can get an Exploration permit so you can get an excavator in there and do a trench dig , are you on state land or BLM land , if you need an excavator let me know . thanks for your cool video's
Q. How much money do you figure it would take to start hard rock mining? If you have a piece of property already and you want to start up. But your not sure how much gold might be in the area.
Cody Ham I was talking about a small mine not a industrial. And I was thinking about using shotcreat for safety. I am a Welder but with shotcreat it's faster and safer. And if I wanted I could always go back and cut a new tunnel through it. But I wanted to know about small hard rock mining. Thanks
I was kidding. But if it's just a hobby mine it s probably a few thousand dollar unless you going to process all your materials and depending on what they are that could add a few thousand dollars more.
howdy, I'm doing the same thing where I'm prospecting an area that's very good in my opinion. I'm actually on a ridge and it's in between two old volcanoes or Cinder cones. so in the next couple of days I'm going to go there again and use my metal detector and go across the face of all of these Hills at about 30 feet from the valley floor and then do the next one about 20 feet higher than that and keep doing that till I got the whole side of the mountain or Ridge mapped out and marked. that actually might take me a couple days but it should give me indications if there's any eluvial concentrations of gold. once I determine what I have in the best location I'm going to core drill to simplify it even further. I will be acquiring and core drilling bit and a custom fitting adapter for an Auger just like Jeff Williams has in this video. I will then core drill multiple areas of 250 ft deep. so that'll cost me less than $600 to put a auger with drill bits pipes and a water backpack sprayer all together. yeah I have to get it assayed which will cost around a hundred bucks per essay so that could easily run into a couple thousand dollars to do a really good job. But if you want to do a perfect job it will be thousands more. then once you know all of this stuff you can go out and buy yourself a Sierra Blaster with extra attachments and Blasting charges. that'll run you at less than 2000 and you don't have to be certified to operate it.
then you need a way to crush the large pieces of orore and a rock Crusher deliquescent about 3/4 - will cost you a couple thousand to $20,000 depending on how much you want to do per hour. You might find something used. Then you go out and find yourself a little impact Mill or something similar to that to crush it down to fine powder. an impact Mill can run anywhere from a couple hundred dollars or up to an undetermined amount of money when you have to buy it. then you need to process it through a sluice box or a Miller table amongst other ways of doing it and all that cost thousands of dollars. so you add it all up to be semi-professional and you're looking at thousands of dollars. or you can do it all by hand and you won't get very much done but it you can do it it just takes a lot of time
Jeffery, I need to send you a video how we auger here in northwest Alaska, for ice fishing. It will be a couple more weeks, winter is a little late this year from all that global warming you folks doing down there :P
You pay attention to the things Jeff teaches us in all of these videos of his first. It takes time to learn how to find gold because it's a complex issue. If it wasn't, and everyone could find gold if they knew 3 or 4 things on a list, everyone would have found all the gold and there would be none left. There's no easy way about it; And I think Jeff will agree with me on this point: Finding gold is HARD WORK!
Well Jeff you finally found something that might be able to do being that I'm in a wheelchair been watching your show for a long time just haven't seen anything I could possibly crawl around and which is impossible if you can't move your legs if you don't already know that
Hey Jeff, I have quartz rock around 500 pounds the pictures are comparable to Native Gold. I go to a geologist for the first time to bring small specimens. what others directions should I take dealing with gold on quartz. Your The best I have seen on TH-cam I hope you can send me in the right direction. - Maria 24 Charlotte, North Carolina.
Oh ya, good to see ya all having fun in the desert sun finding some shiny ...

Q. How much money do you figure it would take to start hard rock mining? If you have a piece of property already and you want to start up. But your not sure how much gold might be in the area.
Freeport McMoran paid Bechtel 181 million to develop the Grasberg Mine, so I guess you never know.
