  • China's food delivery market has experienced explosive growth in recent years.
It was worth some 150 billion dollars in 2022 - larger than the economy of Morocco.
Critics however, say the gigantic sector is built on exploitation of the country's millions of delivery riders.
Authorities in February tightened regulations in a bid to step up protections.
CNA's East Asia Tonight takes a close look at China's food delivery workers and their struggles.

The bad thing about china delivery is that there is fine for being late. Singapore grabfood can relax relax send food , no stress.

The reason why food delivery services in china is heavy aggressive completive. Is because of Employment model. In Western Countries and other parts of Asian
if you late is not a big deal you only lose bit of rating or marks.

Here in Indonesia (Jakarta) local people work so slow, including the delivery guys. When I went to China, I was so surprised to find how fast the delivery services there. Delivery guys in China take their job seriously, unlike ones in Indonesia. Sometimes I saw them running. Really amazing

Its your choice if you want to be a delivery driver and the same for people who want to become a drug addict then no one can stop you well in USA, if you have the IQ and qualities to become a doctor then no one can stop you to become a doctor because everything is gained from your time put into the hard work.

In China, if you work hard to deliver food, you can earn more than 10,000 yuan, but in India, if you work hard, you can only earn more than 1,000 yuan. The difference between the two is 10 times.

riders like them makes ordering food so cheap and available, but I feel sorry for them.
would be better if these jobs were taken by school/college graduates, but they can then go on to take on proper jobs.
meanwhile, these people are stuck in this manual job forever
