yes they removed it, don't know why. Also removed the link from the article. In the video I show what the knee-curve is/does, though, through a scheme. It is the region of the fan that you should avoid, briefly.
A great piece of research. Can you please clarify if the T30 fan was always on the same mode for all tests and if so, which mode this was e.g. Advanced given the rpm speeds in some tests.
for high noise output tests, I use Advanced mode, but I adjust it through PWM to drop speed and achieve the desired noise levels, so the mode just unlocks the fan's potential and doesn't play any other role.
Thank you for the clarification Aris. I have an additional question - where is the famous 120mm Noctua NF-A12x25 fan? Did you decide not to include it in your testing? @@HardwareBusters
surprised there isnt a cost/performance chart the way you have it for the cpu air/aio coolers. For a budget/balance cost/performance aspect between some of these fans
with Phanteks I don't have any relations, at all. Imagine the T30-120 I have someone else sent them to me, for comparison purposes. I am also still waiting for fan samples by Arctic, including these Max fans.
Usually RGB with no-RGB version have no performance differences. Only RGB lighting is added. I am not sure though about the AF120 since I only have the RGB tested.
Corsair Shift 1000W uses 2x 8 pin so you can say that it is ATX v3.1, from the moment the cable is the same. Super Flower PSUs also use 2x 8pin to 12+4 pin, so they are the same.
@HardwareBusters No, I don't understand all the Jargon. I have learning difficulties, but I was wondering if someone could inform me which on come out top or best of 3. Much Love.
@@BeeWarrior_ No worries, I am here for you :) The best fan overall is the Phanteks T30-120, if you don't have a problem with its increased thickness of 30mm. Else you can go with either the Thermaltake Toughfan 12 Pro or the XPG Nidec Vento Pro 120 PWM
Very interesting! Thank you! Which is the best price to SP? @@HardwareBusters I can imagine the dislikes from fanboys now lol. I thought NF-A12x25 was the only decent Noctua fan out there before everyone released a better/similar fan for less money in the last 2 years. I guess they really aren't worth the price nowadays, even Scythe has a full LCP fan for 2/3 the price.

It would be interesting to include the fan's RPM in the charts. Otherwise great test.
for the normalized tests? Have them, can include them in a next revision.
A great info vid of a great article. Thumps up!
fantastic tests and the amount of work and time to make them... darn... thanks!
Great test and review! I'm just waiting for TT Toughfan 14 pro's data! Cheers!
Will ask from TT to send me those
ありがとうございます!
Thank you!
Always thought the Phanteks T30 was one of best, the extra few mm thicker sure helps it perform amazing.
Thank you for sharing your work with us
Amazing job! It would be nice to see how Arctic p12 pwm and p12 max performs.
InWin topped nearly all the charts in the 140 mm category yet no one else ever talks about them, why is that?
Watching this at the end of 2024 and wondering the same.
I've tried to read the linked "An interesting article about P-Q curves" article, but the page is always dead...
Is there an alternative link? Thanks!

The prices change so fast in fans that it is difficult to have a price per performance chart.
Great, thank you !!!
i wonder if the sharkforce 140mm Non-rgb shares the same results with the rgb version
It's a shame that arctic p12 max is not included in the test... Also Phanteks M25 fans both 120mm and especially 140mm are fantastic

@@HardwareBusters Also please include nf a12x25
Also - is there a way that you can list the RPM speed at each of the Db levels ? For example, 30DB is xRPM fan speed. Possible to list that?
I have that list already, so I will check on that.
Awesome!
Do the non-RGB versions of the fan have the same performance? e.g. Corsair AF120 RGB Elite vs non-RGB version
Usually RGB with no-RGB version have no performance differences. Only RGB lighting is added. I am not sure though about the AF120 since I only have the RGB tested.
FRIEND PLEASE TELL ME, WHAT 1000W ATX 3.1 PSU SHOULD I BUY RIGHT NOW? FOR 4070 TI SUPER. THANK YOU!

thank you for your hard work so i dont have to
I don't see Noctua NF-F12 iPPC-2000 or 3000? They've got higher Static Pressure than the top fans, at least at full speed.
they didn't send them to us, sorry.
So which one is the best? Top 3?
did you watch the video?

@HardwareBusters Thank you I appreciate it 🤩
Literally can't find Super Flower Megacool fans anywhere online to buy. Such a bummer.
will talk to them to see what is going on.
the absolute GOAT
Noctua ??
next video of this series.
Why not thermalright fans????
they don't send me any!
@@HardwareBusters ok
I was hopping to see you know what in OnlyFANS ! 😅
Some hot... fans (of the channel) ! 😂🤣
Noctua didn't even make the list. Such a shame...
Although quality wise they are top on performance they stay behind notably
Y not including arctic fans
Haven't tested any at that time. In the next update of this vid I will include them.
