Seen a story where they poured concrete in on a guy they couldn't get out of a cave, crazy stuff be safe guys. In our local cave in southern Illinois we got so far back in there we found a picture of 2 kids and a half smoked cigar with a note that said dont go any further we did and the floor dropped out 50ft into water guess they fell down there and weren't found soon enough we didn't have equipment to go down so we turned back, it has a cage over the opening now hope they open it back up i used to go in all the time years ago its easy to get lost in too and just goes and goes
I think that's the story of John Edward Jones in the Nutty Putty cave. It was an especially big story around where I am because he was one of my neighbors growing up.
Are you talking strictly vertical? If so my basic must have gear list is Harness - petzl makes good ones Hand ascender & chest ascender - also petzl Chest harness - just get a cheap one your life doesn’t depend on it, I made mine out of a ratchet strap Some dynamic rope to make a cows tail A 130 cm sling (or whatever fits your leg length) for a foot loop Some static rope 8mm to make a connection from your hand ascender to your connection caribeaner A RACK (do some research on what style of descender you’d like everybody is different but a stainless steel 12 inch J frame rack from SMC is very universal - I used it to drop fantastic pit and 30 foot pits, mud won’t mess with it) 6 locking caribeaners 2 rigging caribeaners 10 mm green line static rope (however many feet you want this will be your rope)
Especially that only one guy has a helmet on and the other two don't. It would be a difficult rescue if a rock seriously insured the ones who aren't wearing helmets.
@@ET_Explorer we are all wearing helmets what are you talking about? We might briefly take them off to fit through a squeeze or film ourselves but they are always on Yeah rock fall is part of the risk, don’t stand near ropes when people are on em 🤷♂️
We always have helmets, to reiterate from the other comment we might take them off briefly from time to time to fit through squeezes or film ourselves, I’ll give it to ya, the some of the scenes it looks like Ryan isn’t wearing a helmet but if you pay attention other scenes he is, must have just coincidentally filmed him the short amount of time he wasn’t wearing one
Subbed 👍 very interesting cave exploring 🍻✨✨✨✨
Thanks dude!

Party on Garth! 😂
Yeah caving can be dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing, it doesn’t take very long to learn basic caving knowledge and techniques
Did you bring the modern fossil with you?
Haha yeah that was Alex’s
Can anyone recommened good climbing equipment /kit for me for caving
I do caving but i never used ropes or anything to go down shafts like this

Oh a D shaped auto lock caribeaner for your main connection point for your harness, don’t cheap out on this
@@Mineral_dude thanks man!
I would say practice alot before you apply your knowledge underground... 😊
@@Underground_Adventures yezzir !
What bothers me is loose rocks coming down & hitting you guys. I just bothers me.

Everyone sitting in the same room not moving to much... doesn't really require a helmet.... Moving vertical through a cave requires a helmet...😊
