    One of the few that even mention safety guidelines for fragrance and measure accordingly. Thank you.

    • @munmilks
      @munmilks 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      actually you should measure it all by weight to actually be within the safety guidelines

    • @kelleyspartiatis4776
      @kelleyspartiatis4776 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      munmilks not for bath bombs you don’t. The fragrance should be measured by weight of the whole recipe but it doesn’t matter if you don’t weigh the dry ingredients individually. You can just weigh the total amount of ingredients and calculate the fragrance that way.

      @kelleyspartiatis4776 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Moya Montgomery obviously I'm not the OP but I have bath bombs that are a year old and they still work like a dream. However it depends on what oil you use to make them with. If you use grapeseed oil then the oil will go rancid after 6 months or less. If you use coconut oil then it will be good in a year still. It depends on the shelf life of your oil and any other ingredients. Only the wet ones. Dry ingredients have an indefinite shelf life usually.

    • @kellyw.1779
      @kellyw.1779 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can for personal use but not to selling them. Just have to be very careful to not use too much and run the risk of staining the tub or you. It's best to use body safe colorants like Mica's, Lakes or FD&C water soluble dyes. With Mica's and Lakes you would need to use Polysorbate 80 so there is no staining. • @kellyw.1779

      Yes, it's the technique that makes it spin. Poly 80 is to disperse the oils and colorant in the water and Witch Hazel is the binder that brings the mix together.

      for anyone coming from the future, ignore this idiot. Polysorbate is plant based and a needed surfactant to distribute the oils in the water. It's made from coconut and safe if used properly. There are issues with contamination (which is why people are scared of it) but if you source it from responsible suppliers, you shouldn't have an issue. Of course it's easy to send your P80 into a lab and get a quantitative analysis to be sure rather than being paranoid like this dumdum above.
