I’m really digging the added invasion to your weapon showcase. It’s nice to see the weapon in a multiple enemy scenario and your opinion of pros and cons of that weapon in an invasion is always helpful. Great series bud.
Spacing is too much connection dependent. Its the worst to roll it like allways and get hit by lag. Mace is the way, or caestus WA into dagger backstab fish.
Definetely gargoyle hammer! Its almost never used in pvp thus people are not prepared for weapon art and it makes it quite good. Ive even been able to pull off R1R1 into weapon art to kill combo (roll catch and staggered) few times.
The easiest way to counter these is to roll INTO the combo. If you roll away from it you’re more likely to get caught by it. And if you time it right, you can get a backstab
If you equip Pontiff's right eye ring and the old wolf curved gs on your back and stun lock someone you could hit for over 2000 damage (your welcome if this helps 🙂✌)
I love these swords. They are my favourite weapon. Not because the one button wonder, they just look sick as fuck, are fun to swing around and the fire sword combo thing looks badass. But yes I do feel bad for using these swords in pvp but do anyway because big badass swords are cool
@@dalynbratcher9888 Tbh, I can't parry in this game. In Bloodborne, yes, but not DS3. As an Invader, I am handicapped because of this but I work around it best I can

Usually I find myself loosing to any gank who has it, because you can't really outdamage an overleveled phantom even with perserverance. I would try backstab, but the spinning second L1 seems like it negates that. off topic but I've found the mace and Greatswords to do really well against straight swords, especially the mace, but I find good greatsword players do well against the mace.
@Simba Oh, why thankyou! If you didn't know this one, Gaels Greatsword can be rolling backstabbed easily on the l2 r2 attack(where they backstep and then lunge forward)
@Simba Well I had no bloody idea you could parry it. I think I won't try to parry it since it seems like a difficult parry, also I usually try to parry like once then fail and switch to using my shield to switch the moveset of the weapon and not much else. Thankyou again, maybe you know this one(might fall under deadangle-ing) but I've found farron UGS users can L1 so they land behind you, and that messes up the parry timing
@Simba My preference is to have a rapier right hand, mace left hand and two hand the mace most of the time. If someone is too passive I can swing, queue one handing the mace, and start sprinting at them and it usually catches them offguard. However I also have a shield(left hand), that can be used with the rapier. I used to use Flamberge in right, rapier in left(or shield). My main reason for not using Black knight greatsword on the mace build is it is a mid level strength-ish build(I figured I'd use the weeb greatsword GS of judgement, also does really well)
A 40 40 quality build is better than full strength on the paired greatswords, full strength is alright but not optimal unless you wanna be a lot more tanky, either way I’m sure dropping 10 strength for 10 dex would probably increase your damage
So from what I can see here, it seems that a good start against these guys would be to get up close instead of backing away due to the phantom hitbox. By staying close, you can punish them easily.
L1 into L2 is a great mix-up for damage and stun-lock if you're close enough for the L2 stomp-stun to connect. Usually, you will be. Neither of the WA Finishers will combo after L1>L2 unless they poised through the L1 in which case both finishers are viable but L2 Explosive Slam is obviously best because damage and knockdown.
No lie, the first L1 STILL surprises me all the time with how damn FAR it can poke. It is so hard to gauge how far it is when facing it too, since they do a quick jab at the last second that extends the range. Plus, you can kill someone in one combo if you slightly delay the third L1, it is a beast at rollcatching them.
Yo chase and everyone else, did you guys know that weapon actually has a 3 hit true combo? , maybe 4 i Don’t remember (will try later) its like this, L1(that running strong attack) - L1 again but then you stop it because If you continue the L1 combo you go in the air doing the flashy shit but it stops being a true combo and What you do instead is an R1 which always hits making it a beast If you hit the first L1 . So again L1-L1-R1 and maybe maybe a last R1 of the first R1 leads into a second one, but maybe After the L1 the R1 that comes is the last one . Anyway, love this weapons, they are dirty indeed lol
As soon as i see those swords, I pull out my zwiehander, stomp and pancake. They’re so over confident they never see it coming and then I finish them off when they’re panicking.
