According to adherents, raw meat - and specifically weird cuts of organs - are the ultimate sources of health and strength. - th-cam.com/video/J83KbVKSVMA/w-d-xo.html

    I'm from Chicago. Just a few nights ago me and my friend we're standing outside talking. A car slowed down a bit and looked over at us then went around the corner right over on South Chicago. Soon after gunshots rang off, then soon after that 5 squad cars raced down that way also. Just something as simple as talking to you friend outside could turn into a deadly encounter.

      king Dione I lived in Chicago in my early 20s... I am a white boy who had friends who lived in bad areas on the south side.. I would go to parties and ride the orange line late at night. I never once felt threatened. 12 years later... I wouldn't step foot on those same streets. It is a war zone. Stay safe on those streets my brother, nothing but love.

      At some point the news is wasting time that could be spent improving my own consciousness.
      It is said that as air carries aroma, consciousness carries the soul.
      Air may continually carry the fragrance of a rose garden, as it passes, and the same air can carry the foul smell of gunpowder and dead innocent people.
      We're not meant to stay in bad consciousness, although it is just as much part of this mortal world as enlightened thinking. But humans get to use their facility of human form as they choose, and reap what we sow.

    I'm from the Southside of Chicago. Even if you go to the "better" neighborhoods there is still so much violence. I remember growing up in a neighborhood that is not the best but not the worst. When I would walk home sometimes there would be gun shots from nearby. You would have to watch some of the colors that you wore to make sure that they weren't gang colors. Many people I know are in gangs and/or sell guns and drugs. Family members in and out of jail. There are so many other things like gruesome murders right around the corner and people shooting each other right in front of my house. It's insane. I'm just glad I never got caught up in anything like that.

      I am glad you got out of those horrible neighborhoods. So much of Chicago is completely dysfunctional. People up here are unfortunately more than content to ignore what's going on less than 10 miles away.

      Agreed. I was born in Chicago in 86, and have lived here all my life. I spent the first 10 to 15 years of my life by North Avenue. It's really not that bad of a neighborhood compared to many other places in the city that are like war zones. But there's still people getting shot, slinging dope, and all the rest, every single day.
      It's just sad when everyone you know has been shot or knows someone who's been shot. Every body has buried some one by the time they get outta grade school. This shouldn't be normal for any of us. But it is normal for us. It's hard, and it's sad.

Meanwhile, Zone 2, one of the biggest areas on the map, had only three murders for the entire year. As of 2017 Murders in Atlanta are way up, but overall crime is way down.

Kids coming up to you saying "can I please have food my dada in jail" "Can I have a place to sleep my momma got shot" it's horrible and you know why this whole gang violence cycle keeps repeating, when they learn at a early age Hey look at those people stealing let me try or oh my friend started drugs and she is feeling better they try to do that and end up in jail or dead. The cycle repeats with there children have you heard of this saying "You either get famous or you die trying" that's very true in South Chicago. Instead of North Chicago putting money into the youth's that live there so they have a better life they put the money to our beautiful sky scrapers and our big statues. Yet really if we want a change we need to start with the kids because the kids are the future. I live in Illinois still but in a nicer place but I still think we should help those that don't have my, yours, our opportunities

    These meetings aren't effective ... how tf are you gonna have a meeting about changing Chicago within walking distance from the White House... That meeting is essentially behind closed doors.. you can brainstorm good ideas about how to change the city for the better but if you don't get out there in THE FIELD where it's really cracking then you aren't gonna have much change if any at all. The GD members are right, in those meetings are all people in suit and ties when really the higher, older gang members (and even the more popular rappers from the city) needa be in those meetings.
    It doesn't take a genius to know that a kid from Chicago would be MORE LIKELY to listen to someone (gang member) that has been in his position before than some outsider in a suit and tie that has never had half the struggles of the very same little kid growing up..
    Some of these people seem phony as hell.. it don't take a wizard to know that you have to reach out to the people of Chicago that actually have an influence in order to make a change..

It started Centuries ago. If you keep some one hungry long enough they will fight like animals to survive. A thing to note here young people, there are some real thugs out in the city that are literally just without Education, so their being ignorant and violent is their only way out to keep from being embrassed about not being Educated, so they weep havoc on others they are bullys. The leaders could careless and they don't even live in the city. Look and read of the hutoos and the tutoos in Africa, how they were put up against one another same thing here in the 21st century.

There is a conflict of interest between "community leaders" that are only in it for themselves, and those who legitimately want things to get and be better than all the senseless killings and deaths that happen every day. It would be nice if some would quit trying to put their name out there just to get rich at the expense of their neighbors.

    1000 gunshot victims in 2017??? That is insanity. I live in Toronto, same size city, only in a different country. As of today there have been 19 murders, of which 15 involved a gun. Unbelievable America. That is a monumental fail on every level. There's enough blame to go around the table two times.

    • @kevinn1158
      @kevinn1158 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Chanler, I absolutely agree. Everybody needs to take ownership of these problems regardless of the number of murders or the targets. We have public housing close to our home and when the politicians decided to rebuild the public housing I was one of the first to get involved. I believe in standing up for everybody. i.e. safe communities for everyone. Fight against ghettoization.
      If our American friends think it's not their problem because they live in the suburbs, take a look at how much it costs in your tax dollars incarcerating criminals. I bet you could help rebuild every house in these ghettos and train the local kids to have skilled jobs than dealing with this carnage.
      Unfortunately, in these American cities, the people with money are physically so far away it's easy for them to think it's not their problem.

    • @kevinn1158
      @kevinn1158 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Chanler, Breaking up the Chicago public housing was the only way to go. People inside that community need to integrate into diverse communities. Scattered housing is only the first small step in a very long process of reintegrating a community forced to the edges of society. If they didn't arrange long term help (i.e. big brothers, social workers, basic job training) yes the gangs remain gangs.
      All of these public housing ghettos are wrong and were neglected for 50 years. You're not going to change the mindset of people overnight. Chicago did the right thing but maybe they didn't have a plan to help these gang members move on in their lives.
      This video reveals the fundamental philosophy of these gang members, eye for an eye...but I guess they didn't read the whole phrase which is "An eye-for-eye and tooth-for-tooth would lead to a world of the blind and toothless."

    • @kevinn1158
      @kevinn1158 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Chanler, these place weren't just fortresses, they set up the community so vulnerable low income kids were only meeting each other. They banded together and the gangs morphed out of high density low income ghettos.
      There was a small program for disadvantaged kids near our local public housing run by an ex gang member. This guy was awesome. He was a big brother to all the kids and they loved hanging out with him. He was cool, he gave them his time and love but he was also tough and had expectations of them. No BS. The best part of this was he wasn't an "outsider". He's paid a regular wage and did the job of 20 social workers imo.

    • @kevinn1158
      @kevinn1158 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      With all due respect, iTz Axis, stop making excuses, people like you are a big part of the problem. I've heard every excuse in the book. The reality is, these gang members just gave up and didn't want to take responsibility for their lives. They picked up a gun because that was the easiest way to gain control over their lives...become powerful, not realizing what kind of world that comes along with it. They bought into America's perverse belief that the gun is the ultimate solution for any conflict. Didn't work out that well did it?
      The inner city black community got screwed and instead of banding together to support each other they picked up a gun to shoot each other.

    • @kevinn1158
      @kevinn1158 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'll tell you that in Toronto the gunshot victim and the deaths by guns is within a dozen.... Meaning on average there are between 40 & 50 deaths by gun and maybe 60 gunshot victims who survive.

    "It can't be too much, we're too deep now." That man accurately described the problem in Chicago, when that kind of life captures kids from birth how the hell are they suppose to escape something they find normal? Activisim and laws directed towards guns and violence is not gonna stop the homicide rate in Chicago. Laws and regulations to kill the value of drugs which and some set categories of weapons will stop the violence. Draining money from the gangs will halt the majority of violence in Chicago simply because they wont have any clean money to buy goods with. They'll run out of bullets, weapons, and their drugs will be worthless ultimately giving them no option to earn any kind of money. If congress make schedule 1 drugs legal, cocaine, heroine, PCP etc its done, all of it will be worth zero because now it will be legal to make in your own kitchen. What are they gonna sell after that? What are they gonna do business with? Nothing because if they were doing business with legal capital then they wouldn't be shooting each other up over it, they wouldn't be considered criminals. It's just my opinion, completely open to debate and other opinions regarding this topic.

      I can appreciate your sentiment, truly. However legalizing class A narcotics would not solve the problem. You would just end up with a ton of blown up crack dens. A guy strung out on crack or heroin would still be just as violent

    Did this fake Pastor just said not even JESUS Christ can cause a seize fire!!! Darrell Scott do you know that the Shepherd has a responsibility not to lead God's people astray. It is very important to know God for yourself so as not to be deceived by men like Darrell Scott.

    I guess a good way to look at it is forgetting your gun in Chicago is like forgetting your phone for a normal person😂

    I honestly don't think the violence will ever stop. Yes I have lived in Chicago and saw way too much. Grateful I got out and my son wasn't raised there.
