Digging a small tunnel under a concrete wall doesn't do anything to the structure. There is enough foundation to support the building. And no the foundation must be 3 meters deep max. It's a prison not a skyscraper in earthquake zone. 10 meter deep small tunnel can support any moving weight above as well. They just had to dig deep and move stuff using the cart. They were trained for just a couple months in germany by engineers. I don't know how you can compare it to pyramids.

There were only two possibilities on this escape: 1º Chapo and his cronies indeed dug the tunnel but payed A LOT of money to the guards and/or the prison director and/or the government for all of them to look away and provide blueprints. 2º Chapo did not move a single muscle to dig a tunnel, nor his cronies. Instead the government did it for him, but received large sums of money. there is NO way you can dig a tunnel straight to a single cell on the top floor of a maximum security prison without having blueprints and A LOT of noise. one way or another, you would fail.
Don't know about the noises but original blueprints with exact position of the shower was definitely needed (also props to the guy who did the trigonometry for this I guess)

The first time he escaped, in 2001, there was no tunnel and everyone blamed government officials for essentially opening the door and letting him walk out. There is probably a couple hundred yards of the tunnel at each opening with nothing in the middle.

Unlike places like Pakistan and Afghanistan, USA can not send a drone into Mexico to kill him. If USA had that option, they would have done it. The tunnel was likely made well before his 'escape'. No one is saying it was created on the day of his escape. In the end, I believe El Chapo will die in a firefight against Mexican soldiers after he isn't useful to the government anymore. That will happen as he gets older and some other cartel takes over as the main money maker and main source of income for their protectors, the Mexican government and military officials.

There were only two possibilities on this escape:
1º Chapo and his cronies indeed dug the tunnel but payed A LOT of money to the guards and/or the prison director and/or the government for all of them to look away and provide blueprints.
2º Chapo did not move a single muscle to dig a tunnel, nor his cronies. Instead the government did it for him, but received large sums of money.
there is NO way you can dig a tunnel straight to a single cell on the top floor of a maximum security prison without having blueprints and A LOT of noise.

Mark Scott Cause the tunnel doesn't connect! This was created for show to absolve the Mexican government of being involved in his escape. The first time he escaped, in 2001, there was no tunnel and everyone blamed government officials for essentially opening the door and letting him walk out. They needed a diversion this time which is what this 'tunnel' is. It is likely not even connected on both sides. There is probably a couple hundred yards of the tunnel at each opening with nothing in the middle.

He was, in fact, living comfortably in his place of birth. The Mexican officials likely said. 'please let us jail you for a year to get USA off our back and we'll release you again'. Please watch the 'Frontline' documentary about El Chapo. It is available right now on pbs dot org for free if you're in USA. It shows a couple of journalists who documented his whereabouts since his first prison break in 2001. It shows that he was likely living in the same village that he grew up in and that there was no real secret of his location. Unlike places like Pakistan and Afghanistan, USA can not send a drone into Mexico to kill him. If USA had that option, they would have done it.
The tunnel was likely made well before his 'escape'. No one is saying it was created on the day of his escape.
In the end, I believe El Chapo will die in a firefight against Mexican soldiers after he isn't useful to the government anymore. That will happen as he gets older and some other cartel takes over as the main money maker and main source of income for their protectors, the Mexican government and military officials.

Why wasn't he stopped sooner, maybe just murder would of put him away for at least 20 years, but not el chapo.
