As someone who uses eBay regularly, let me explain something: He’s spot on with current prices but… No matter what you COULD sell individual items for, the market is so flooded that no one WANTS those items right now. It’s all about the celebrations cards. That’s it. You almost couldn’t give away those dice, sleeves, coins, extra copies etc. Maybe a year from now but even then idk.
Yep, everything outside of packs and promos are hard to sell, just look at all the non-card items on Pokemon Center; just about all of them are in stock and the only way they can probably get rid of that inventory is if they ship out some “Special Delivery” promo cards with them or discount them by 70%. Pokemon Company is learning that despite of collectors wanting their cards, their brand as a whole is 💩 and generally undesirable. Having said that it wouldn’t surprise me if just the packs and promos are often worth more than then sealed product. That’s because some people only want promo and some only want packs to open; buying the whole thing and selling off what they don’t want is too much work. So if you’re willing to sell things separately to meet their needs, you can put a slight premium on things separately and come out ahead. I opened a Shining Legends Super Premium box for the shining Lugia promo in 2018-2019, sold the other promos, the packs, and playmat/sleeves/figurine/etc and almost got the Lugia promo I wanted for free. But I suspect this only applies to things still in-print and easily obtainable. Long term sealed products will be worth more than its contents as there will be less of them.
It's like bitcoin is just a card board with a value put on it by some people. At least MTG cards are expensive but is playable. But these cards cant even be played. Most of this cards are just for nostalgia. So what's the point of buying it?

So true! Most expensive card in the set is $65. People actually think this set will be expensive in 20 years but lol god no. When you have 100s of thousands of people keeping sealed celebrations product its not going to be rare at all. So it wont hold much value at all. The zard will be a $200 card (maximum) in 20 years

True. In a Pokemon fangame named Pokemon Wilds I am looking for shiny Charizard. No hack works on this game. The probability of encountering one from an egg is 1/256, way more than in normal games, but still extremely difficult. When I find it I will build its own domain, like on a separate savanna island.
The professors research is too cool. The hand coming out of the picture and scribbling on the background is sick. I also love the venesaur reprint because it makes me feel like I own a real base set one lol

My favorite Celebrations card is actually the Dark Gyarados. Brings back some fun memories of collecting when I was little. Wish I had the for-site back then to hang on to my collection. Keep being awesome and love your content!
Oddly enough my favorite card is the donphan prime. It’s not the most valuable card in the set but I’ve always loved the Phanpy/Donphan line and it’s so nice to see them getting love recently. I also really like the art on the base mew!!
I feel like if you're going to sell boxes waiting as many years as possible and evaluating the market to determine open or not is the best way but the long game too! I just like collecting and building. I just love something I enjoyed much of my life is so fun for all generations. Pokemon games, apps, tcg, I do it all!
I’m glad celebrations is here because it allows people to get cards they never would have before. Like all the people getting classic subset cards is so much fun.
My favorite cards from this set are Gardevoir & Mew ex. The older ex cards have always been my favorite because the silver borders and the old art styles complement each other so well
The Gold Shiny Mew looks amazing when you physically have it! Great stuff Rev, those numbers for both the regular ETB and the PC ETB make both of them very profitable
First dark Sylveon box when I pulled a Shining Magikarp I knew I went into profit, decided to open my first etb and pulled a zard 🤤 double profit it was a good day especially steamed live on instagram 😄⭐️
There's something about opening celebrations for me that brings back so much nostalgia and good memories of being a kid and getting packs for Christmas and my dad bidding on lots on ebay for us. For me it isn't even about making my money back, but just the pure enjoyment of opening packs. Dont get me wrong who doesn't love pulling a hit but I have a hard time separating with the cards
I pulled a charizard out of a darkness ablaze pack in a celebrations the other day. I was SO happy. I love this set. Idc how repetitive it can be. You definitely let out the secret that the pull rates are so good 😂
I don't have a favorite card, as I watch these videos to learn to help my daughter with her collection. She loves them all and the laughs and smiles she has opening them is my favorite thing.
I've had such a hard time trying to find any celebrations. It has been insanity trying to find them in stores around me. I have to say trying to get a charizard is my goal now
I had the same issue for a while. What I did is Google searched for game stores and drove around to smaller independent stores. You may be surprised what great little places are out there stocking the good stuff! Anyway best of luck to you!

the $17.00 tins Walmart sells are actually the best bang for your buck. You can buy 3 tins for 55 bucks and you get 12 celebration packs, 3 vivid voltage packs, 3 darkness ablaze totaling to 18 booster packs for the price of $55.00 usd!
I haven't bought packs in literally years. Last night I came across quite a lot of cards in stock at Walmart so I grabbed a couple tins. 1st pack in the tin was vivid voltage. Opened it up, did the card trick, went through it, and I pulled the rainbow rare vmax pikachu... 1st pack in years and I literally pulled the best card in the set in the 1st pack I opened. I was so hyped

I remember opening a Shining Legends Super Premium box back in 2018-2019 because I wanted a mint Shining Lugia promo that came with it. Sold the other 3 promos/10 packs/sleeves/mat/etc. and almost got the Shining Lugia for free. Some people only want the promos, some only want the packs, and some wants the rest of the stuff inside (coins, pins, sleeves, dice, mat, etc). None of these people want the whole thing, and selling off what they don’t want like I did is too much hassle. Hence if you’re willing to do the work and sell things separately, you can put them individually at a slight premium and still have interested buyers. Now this is only short term, long term the sealed products will probably be worth a lot more than the sum of its contents as there will be less and less of it.
My favourite card definetely is the charizard. I would like to win these cards because I was half an hour too late at my local gaming store for this box and I get really excited opening packs haha. May the best win!

I bought multiple products of celebrations and kept them sealed and bought extra to open. I have all the cards and at least one of every celebrations product sealed for investment purposes.
I used to be into pokemon when I was younger in the 90s early 2000s. I am now getting back into it for the collectability aspect. I have a few box sets like this one just sitting in the closet, it kind of sucks that I don't have the same respect for the game that I used to at this point I'm looking at it to gain a profit. 2023 new years resolution was to start playing pokemon again.
I'm not going to lie this particular set really did ruin a lot of things and they did it on purpose. As someone who actually owns the gold star Umbreon now no one and I mean no one has tried to haggle with me on a trade because guess what. Now they can buy themselves a brand spanking new version of it for $14... Nintendo knows what they're doing and they're purposely trying to ruin the value of their cards.

my friend recently opened a ETB of Celebrations and the retro cards in this ETB were all ITALIAN, eventhough it was a factory sealed ETB. was soooo crazy
last night i opened a V memories box. i pulled 2 secret rares from the regular boosters. I pulled both blastoise and venusaur from the celebrations along with cleffa and birthday pikachu. I also pulled 1 zacian V, 3 zamazenta Vs, and 1 surfing pikachu V
The Celebrations ETB are retailing in my area at $299.99 .. Margin isn't nice.. I'm in East Tennessee. - Lunchbox tins are on the secondary at $50. - BTW - Where is Crown Zenith disappearing to? I saw a million ETBS a few months ago, now.. None~! (Seeing the video was made 2 years ago, after making the comment.. Makes me hate that I missed the party.)
Umm so I just got back into Pokemon and I bought a binder of cards at a garage sale for $30. They were all first edition and contained a Blastoise and Gyrados. Then I went to Walgreens and picked up 7 mystery packs. I opened 6 of them and got a Dragonite EX from evolutions on my last pack. Today beats my entire childhood of cards. I'm officially addicted to Pokemon again.
So a couple days ago I went to Target to get my first box of Pokemon cards in years. I saw 50+ Celebrations Trainer boxes and I skipped out on those and bought a $25 lunch box because I didn't feel like spending more than $30. What an idiot 🤦♂️
Aren't they doing a more limited print on the celebration cards versus the other sets? I don't see the celebration boxes or etbs being constantly printed
Fees on eBay are about 11% so it’s about a $50 profit. That’s actual pretty crazy I was thinking about it as I was opening my 2 ETBs today. I got a lot of good cards and an umbreon star so I was happy I opened them!
I bought 4 boxes and made a solid 100 bucks profit. I even sold off the boxes and i still have the greninja promos. But prices will probably crash soon
I'm 32 and had all originally 151 Pokemon cards and sold them a couple years ago. The worst decision of my life 🤦🏽♂️. Correctly working on getting them back
If you buy at retail it's safe, if you buy at 75, consider that ebay takes 12.5% of your sale price and the price to ship it in atleast 3-5 lots... u might profit like 10 dollars.... i also feel like your miscellaneous items will move very slowly if you were to do this with alot of etbs.

I bought multiple products of celebrations and kept them sealed and bought extra to open. I have all the cards and at least one of every celebrations product sealed for investment purposes.
I can't believe how much the pricing for pokemon cards have gone up over the last 12 months.
And this is why the UPC is going for $300 or more. The charizard alone is $200. Pokemon has to do better at printing more product and fighting bots.
Celebrations packs should be $2.50. Crazy times.

I used to be into pokemon when I was younger in the 90s early 2000s. I am now getting back into it for the collectability aspect. I have a few box sets like this one just sitting in the closet, it kind of sucks that I don't have the same respect for the game that I used to at this point I'm looking at it to gain a profit. 2023 new years resolution was to start playing pokemon again.
I finally found a box in the uk, I have been searching since release day, and it makes it harder since I don't trust ebay or amazon for pokemon cards

I'm not going to lie this particular set really did ruin a lot of things and they did it on purpose. As someone who actually owns the gold star Umbreon now no one and I mean no one has tried to haggle with me on a trade because guess what. Now they can buy themselves a brand spanking new version of it for $14... Nintendo knows what they're doing and they're purposely trying to ruin the value of their cards.

my friend recently opened a ETB of Celebrations and the retro cards in this ETB were all ITALIAN, eventhough it was a factory sealed ETB. was soooo crazy

last night i opened a V memories box. i pulled 2 secret rares from the regular boosters. I pulled both blastoise and venusaur from the celebrations along with cleffa and birthday pikachu. I also pulled 1 zacian V, 3 zamazenta Vs, and 1 surfing pikachu V
Etbs cost 69.99 euro's here. The packs go for 14 euro's each... I see why this product is so populair.
The Celebrations ETB are retailing in my area at $299.99 .. Margin isn't nice.. I'm in East Tennessee. - Lunchbox tins are on the secondary at $50. - BTW - Where is Crown Zenith disappearing to? I saw a million ETBS a few months ago, now.. None~! (Seeing the video was made 2 years ago, after making the comment.. Makes me hate that I missed the party.)
I just opened up an ETB and got 2 gold star umbreons, 2 full art pikachu, and a birthday pikachu. Couldn't believe the umbreon pulls.
Umm so I just got back into Pokemon and I bought a binder of cards at a garage sale for $30. They were all first edition and contained a Blastoise and Gyrados. Then I went to Walgreens and picked up 7 mystery packs. I opened 6 of them and got a Dragonite EX from evolutions on my last pack. Today beats my entire childhood of cards. I'm officially addicted to Pokemon again.

So a couple days ago I went to Target to get my first box of Pokemon cards in years. I saw 50+ Celebrations Trainer boxes and I skipped out on those and bought a $25 lunch box because I didn't feel like spending more than $30. What an idiot 🤦♂️

Aren't they doing a more limited print on the celebration cards versus the other sets? I don't see the celebration boxes or etbs being constantly printed
Fees on eBay are about 11% so it’s about a $50 profit. That’s actual pretty crazy I was thinking about it as I was opening my 2 ETBs today. I got a lot of good cards and an umbreon star so I was happy I opened them!
I bought 4 boxes and made a solid 100 bucks profit. I even sold off the boxes and i still have the greninja promos. But prices will probably crash soon

If you buy at retail it's safe, if you buy at 75, consider that ebay takes 12.5% of your sale price and the price to ship it in atleast 3-5 lots... u might profit like 10 dollars.... i also feel like your miscellaneous items will move very slowly if you were to do this with alot of etbs.
