11:09 I worked in printing for 20 years. It's not a miscut, it is a back print issue. Depending on what style of printing press, they had printing cylinders or plates in wrong way. Looks like QC missed some.
The front and back of Pokemon cards are glued together, which is why there's the dark layer in the middle of every card. I guess it's a glue layer but I'm not totally sure. This error happens when the back sheet was misaligned when it was glued on. Then it gets cut normally based on the front sheet's alignment.
@@gavin7912 Front and back are NOT glued together. I know this, cause I currently work as a quality inspector in one of the European companies that print Pokémon (and other TCG's) cards. The black layer in the middle comes from the paper producing company to get the paper into the correct thickness. During printing, first the backs of the cards are printed, and afterwards the sheets are turned upside down to print the front. What happened is that after printing the front and turning the sheets, they put it in the wrong direction into the printer. Its like you print on your printer at home and after printing the front, your computer says: "turn over on the long side" and you wrongfully turn over on the short side. This way the backside is printed upside-down compared to the front. And since there is a print marging on both sides, you also automatically obtain a misalignment between front and back. Quality inspection should prevent this and destroys such misprints, but in rare occasions a sheet can get passed them into products on the shelves. (We are only humans) And since up to 121 cards are on 1 sheet, you get a series of packs close to each other with the same mistake. That's why you saw a lot of exactly the same error in such a small amount of packs.
Sheet was fed backwards on the second pass. Their press must not have a perfect or. The off centering was due to the wild edge guide gripper being different widths. Or the sheet came out of the guide I guess lol, lots of possibilities
The dark layer is most likely in the stock paper. I would be really surprised if they glue back and front together. You can run a second pass through the press to add back print but most try to avoid it because of the risk of scratching the printing on the first pass. If you have a big enough press with enough color units you print front and back at same time. Some printing companies have a separate area for sheeting, some how they printed back in wrong direction and some didn't get picked out before it was die cut.
I know you’ll never see this comment but they’re inverted back errors. When the front of the sheet is printed inverted relative to the back differing amounts of salvage on the edges of the sheet will cause the two sides not to line up. As such, the back is not only upside but also visually misaligned. Sick cards. Full art trainers, full art V’s, Vmax’s, Vstar’s, and alt Art V’s are printed on the same sheet so that Dracozolt must have been from a different sheet.
ok so this is not very accurate but this is what i recorded as the money he got from his big pulls of course all of the "miscuts" and stuff could of also been way more than i was expecting so probably not correct but here 151: 59$ evolving skyies 168$
Thank you for time stamping that lol I was gonna as well. Watched it a couple times- it was the most inner child excitement I’ve seen from Rev in a bit 😂
I think I’m on team 151 the classics are great. Not only that but it’s also a little easier to get with that lower price tag. I also prefer the silver borders and the ex cards. Nothing against evolving skies though it’s still a really nice set with good artworks.
151 isn't the most in value. Evolving Skies is. Each one of those upside-down inverted back error cards sell for $200 and up. Evolving Skies is notoriously littered with expensive error cards. 151 has few errors.
Poke rev I would love to have some evolving skies packs I haven't opened them ever I'm not lying and I have been subscribed and watching you for a while and love watching you get the craziest pulls in every set keep on making these great videos love the content
They print the back side first. Whoever set it up put the sheets in upside down and very misaligned which is why the front looks so perfect and the back is so far off. This happens more than you’d think but it’s usually caught before it actually gets out of the factory. Same thing happens with currency now and then. The rare part is that it somehow made it out of the factory and into a booster pack.
I have never seen a miscut that wild! The back is upside down, the edges are super miscut, and the front looks normal. Evolving skies definitely won 🔥🔥🔥
11:28 That card looks really good the art is also fantastic like 151 really got some nice illustration rares But I recently opened one and didnt get any, lucky you.

@@gavin7912 The black line in the middle is a special layer for durability and to make bends restore better. Its not just a slab to glue to

6:00 THAT IS CRAZYYY😳😳
Naw for real I never seen anything like it blew my mind🤩
That goes almost goes back to Wizards era cards with Pokemon with Magic backs and such.
that blew my mind
IKR
I didn't realize 151 was most expensive in s and v. Makes sense
Yeah the art rares the charizard and the pull rates do bump it up a ton

@@Jordan-k1fI pulled a Charizard early on in an etb.

Those error cards are crazy! Especially since it’s just the backs that are miscut!!
I only JUST now realized the Evolving Skies and Roaring Skies connection 😅
wow that's crazy! never seen error cards like that before...
You're really good at flipping through and showing the full card completely very quickly!
The music is fire, good pick!
Error cards are rare right?
Yeah sometimes it’s insane how bad that miscut was
Yes
@@Jordan-k1f it’s not Miscut It’s a printing issue. ^_^
Its a miscut due to the printing error🤓@TerrishaSteward
I started collecting again with Evolving Skies, I love it. The hit rates were terrible for me though.
id be cautious if youre collecting for value. this new xray stuff is going to destroy the value of the hobby
@@dprob1985 I really just collect for my own enjoyment. I don't sell anything. I just love pokemon and enjoy playing ptcg live.
no one is going to x ray a $15 pack... It will only damage the old vintage packs selling for hundreds/ thousands of dollars
I have a Eevee promo from the Shining fates etb that is exactly like that Gordie. Front is fine, back is miscut and upsidedown! Pretty cool!
6:39 I think the intern made a error
Why was the price ?? For the dracovolt 8:25
Because editor is getting lazy

True that
@@DefaultPenguin legit
@@antlo240Tf you mean? It could be that he couldn’t find any pricing for the card
i want the evolving skies cards😮
It sucks they keep rising in price :/ evolving skies etbs are like getting close to 80-100$
I highly doubt the giveaways are real. He doesn't even ask for any contact info, lol
@@nelliel-xo1976 yeah but i wanted the set conplete but its to expensive
151 is EASILY the best scarlet and violet pack
Paladean fates is better but 151 is close
6:00 It exists somewhere in the World , a Moonbreon with this type of error... OMG
5:06 still waiting for the day I get one of those haha
Dang. 151 is the most? Wonder how it'll be 10 years from now
A lot

@phantomaquarist3417 151 is the most expensive pack from the Scarlet and Violet era. Not compared to Evolving Skies or the pulls Rev got from it

6:00 little bit off centre at the back😂
I just love the VMax cards from evolving skies, even though the IR's in 151 are incredible! Shows off the artists

151 is an amazing set. Can't beat gen1 for nostalgia
Love 151, easily best scarlet and violet set in my opinion, gotta love the OGs
those being upside down is crazier than it being majorly miscut but having both is insane
The one that is upside down is rare
Got to love the hunt
Honestly, that was wild. Error cards are so cool.
This video is *NOICE!*
I would LOVE a video featuring that box of evolving skies, those errors are awesome!
Evolving skies is awesome but I do love 151

Looking for that evolving skies stack 👀👀
I got in late of the pokemom collection world... but the past year all I've been collecting is error cardd... graded and ungraded...

151 is awesome brings me back to when I was younger!
151 is the best! Started collecting again because of you!
Absolutely love the pack battles you do. If only I could do it myself lol.
Evolving skies definitely wins but I prefer the 151 packs
Wild that the back is so off but the front is perfect.
151 by far one of the best since the original set 🔥
Your the best!😊
Nothing like opening stacks and stacks of packs!
Should Grade the errors and make a vid on it!!
Would love to see a video where you show the top 10 craziest error cards you've ever pulled
