Makes sense. Despite being one of the oldest transformable mobile suit designs, Zeta Gundam still has one of the most majestic flight forms around. So, using a lot of elements from its design helps a lot. Ever since, they've tried all sorts of ways to transform flying MS. Many end up looking awkward for a flying machine or look ok until you see the mangled robot's face from underneath.
We honestly need more transforming Mobile Suits in Gundam. Delta Kai, Union Flag, Arios, and Murasame Kai are proof that they can look really cool especially as model kits.
to me, the most impressive aspect of the fighter/MA mode is that it actually looks like a jet. as opposed to most other transformable suits, that just look like a folded MS(because that's what they are). so you can present it in MA mode and it actually looks like that's the default mode.
2:05 I mean one design is supposed to be a gritty ground pounder and the other one is an aircraft. It still tracks. Look at how ground vehicles are set up compared to aircraft. One has to be as smooth as they can get away with.
Best 144 gunpla partsformer still AZ gundam in my heart. It was cool, have two big gun that can slap together, have separated Kneecap, moving and detailed back skirt, and finally have a shield + beamsaber combo in one.

I actually like that they used partsforming for this kit. If they didn't, they would have probably sacrificed a lot of the structural integrity of the kit for the transformation. At least with partsforming it looks near perfect and structuraly secure unlike some kits with a transformation but they either look daft or they're not too strong.
I feel like this is the first Seed kit that I genuinely vibe with. This is the one I've waiting for. I have the old murrasame but became brittle and some parts broke so i combine the standard and Andrew custom to have a one functional
i like how they learn they mistake with zeta arm and change it joint so it more sturdy mine shoulder joint already broke so i just straight up change it myself
Still stand by the 80's 1/144 Zeta Plus model kit with a functional transformation while still being stable. Bandai has the resources to make a modern HG fully transformable without parts forming.
It looks cool in its flight form, but does it make sense for a mobile suit to have tons of large missiles hanging off of its wings without cover? With jets, it makes sense since they're always flying fast when in combat, and they can deploy the missiles faster. But mobile suits need to transform depending on the situation, and if they still have those missiles hanging on in humanoid form, it'll easily give the opponent a bright idea. Bright, in more ways than one.

I’m normally not a fan of PARTS FORMERS. If I want a Transforming Mech, it should be THE WHOLE MECH. (I admit, I’m picky.) but I admit, the DESIGN is near perfect! Especially since it gives me such ZETA VIBES.

It’s not a Gundam, just a mass-produced mobile suit. The killer design and the V-fin give it such an awesome Gundam flair that it’s hard to believe they’re mass production mobile suits
Wow. It's the HG Zeta/HGUC Zeta/HGUC Revive Zeta...but on steroids!! Not a fan of the partsforming "transformation", but, if it means it looks great in both modes and is stable in both modes, I guess it works? But HGAC Wing Gundam & Wing Gundam ZERO are a thing and they absolutely transform, soooooo...??
For now I will still stand with the 1st Gen HG Gundam Harute… Perhaps in the future the HGCEs Murasame Kai and if there will be HGCE Saviour and HG Gundam 00 Series Gundam Harute Ver. 2.0 would be coming in at a very economical & affordable price… Kudos to HGCE Murasame KAI😎 *Brace for the Scalpers & Hoarders anyhow🤪
Maybe one day the transforming Guundam kits will be as good as Transformers, very unlikely, but it would be nice. The Zeta Ver Ka was the closest I've seen, but still behind them.
