This kit is an amalgam of HG. This has an absolutely beautiful base without any sticker and already have amazing colour separation. And with sticker/paint, this kit can go beyond in term of looks. Bot to mention it has one of the best possability for an HG kit. No wonder this kit is selling like a hot cake in japan. Can’t wait to get this kit and tidying it up to be anime accurate
@ZenStrive52 not really, some sell worse than other, Immortal justice, command Quanta dessert type, gyan Storm, rudo;a, shive a, to name a few doesn't sell that well in Japan. Heck, even MG Narrative doesn't sell to the point it become out of stock in Japan.
To me the foot part actually says : "Instead of thruster built into the foot, we built the foot into the thruster" Also, the mid-pause for sticker no. 15.....😅😅

when the first promotional photo came out, i was skeptical because of the legs. I thought that this gundam needed a stand base to stand. But when i saw this review, it's crazy that it can be posed in various positions without a stand base! It's a must have for me!
Hopefully when they make the 1/100 FM, it'll be much more color accurate. Those little color accents, especially on the head, would be really hard to do even on an RG and definitely impossible for an HG
It's a shame there's no footage here of how it was built because while I do have some reservations about the design the engineering put into the model fascinates me

One of the craziest designs I’ve ever seen… AND I ACTUALLY LOVE IT!! And its articulation is ridiculously good! RG G GUNDAM may finally have a worthy opponent.

Gundam is supposed to be a more grounded and realistic take on giant robots this new design is too bionic almost as if it can be a human wearing a futuristic suit like a costume not a mobile suit kind of suit.
Honestly when you kept mentioning you were going to redo your rating system I was expecting more of a changeup (like ranking each aspect individually or forgoing a linear scale entirely), not just "moving the same 5-point scale towards higher quality" 😂
Compared to some of the Witch from Mercury HG kits, it doesn't blow me away like some of those kits did out-of-the-box, e.g. the Lfrith. With some minor parts modding, paint and a top-coat, this kit would look great.
This kit is somewhat like the HiRM Astray, in which it looks kinda awkward when it’s just standing. But put it in a pose, then suddenly it looks very good

What I like about this model is its ability to stand and pose strongly even with the uncommon design for legs and feet. And my god the arms and face is just *chief kiss*. Oh and the heat hawk, cannot forget about the heat hawk, Ryoma would be proud.
Also forgot to mention: the word GQuuuuuux ( Jii-kwuhks ) rhymes with Flux, Tux etc. not acks. because science, Qux is a variable but adding 6 u's into a titular name.
It's design almost like a lunar-transport or satellite because of its circular shoulder parts, pipes, chassis, or slim spacesuit etc floating around in space.
Man this kit looks like so much fun visually and mechanically. I just wish HLJ had more stock for those that pre-ordered day 1. Almost never get a kit on release day from HLJ anymore even when I pre-order on day 1--it gets to a point where the US sellers get them and I buy from them before my HLJ order is processed.
Is there any way we could get a video on what your process for building kits is? Long or short would def be interested in seeing your process from start to finish.
I like the new ranking system! was wondering what you'd do about the general "quality creep" especially with High Grades of the newer series. for the kit though.... I kinda hate the single joints... but i love the design to bits and i cant wait for mine to arrive.
What's goofy is that so many of the missing color areas would have been the EASIEST part to do with stickers. Of course it should be easy to paint, but I always get nervous having to match the color of the plastic.
It's a bit odd to do a review without putting all of the stickers on, particularly right after pointing out the lack of stickers for the head as a negative.
The only bit i don't like about the design are the vents/jetpack. If they did a bit shorter vents and not almost another pair of arms, it would look better imho
Excited to pick it up (with the May restock 😂). Something so different, in a good way, is so super nice. I really dig the design of it overall. (the feet are so strange to me, but so minor and starting to grow on me)
I swear this kit took me about three times as long as any other HG I’ve built, and it’s all down to those red decal stickers. They’re almost as tedious as an RG. Looks amazing in the end though, so it was worth the effort.
RG are mostly decals, which aren't really necessary to apply. But colour correcting stickers are the worst thing to appear out of the box, usually on HG, especially IBO kits
Mecha designs like these are perfect for MG and 1/100 scale kits Was not a fan of it at first but if this is a HG let’s see what they do for the eventual MG!!🤞🤞
I don't understand, you were very critical of the Seed Freedom series stickers, and these models only have stickers for backpacks and/or guns, but this one is a sticker nightmare and you just acted like this was just a minor inconvenience. I would appreciate it if you were a bit more consistent with the rating.

One video I saw basically had the guy carefully slice the yellow borders of the leftover sticker sheet to fill in the yellow on the head vents.
I think it looks super cool and personally I love how they handled the feet for a mech meant primarily for space
Didn’t like the design at first, but I think that’s changed after seeing its 3D interpretation in the kit. It looks really good here.

In terms of anatomy, this thing is probably closest to the Iron-Blooded Orphans Gundam Frame with how thin it is, especially at the torso
That’s because it’s an Eva disguised as a gundam but I dig it. I wouldn’t be surprised if it has some berserk form at some point.

This guy kinda reminds me of Muv-Luv mech more than Evangelion, lol.
The skeletal porportion is there, but Muv-Luv did a much better job at streamlining everything unlike the G-Quacks.

Builders parts pack F15 has the adapter for backpack. However, that is the same style backpack peg from the HG Seed/Destiny line.
