This game was dope af. Truly unique. The only two things it really needed was a dedicated cover system and some hand-to-hand mechanics. Can't have it all tho.

Well, for some people who doesn't understand the Time Shield ability, well, let me explain it in a nutshell
Time Vision is a ability that in Jack's vision, it creates micro-premonitions to detect possible threats and explosive/destructive/useful objects
Time Shield does something similar. Since Jack can detect possible threats and objects that can harm him with his Time Vision, he subconsciously or purposely creates a force field that only freezes lethal objects like bullets

More of a bubble-shaped area of frozen time that stops the bullets in their tracks, than a force field

Seriously is the only negative thing I’ve got is the language they use constantly. The puzzles, controls, combat, story, actors, powers and cutscenes I thought were all great
I wish I knew why more people didn't love this game🤷🏾♂️ I was having a good time with it, before I even knew it had tv episodes that altered based on your decisions bundled into the game. Seems like they spent a ton on this games budget and I certainly had a great time playing it and following the writing/plot

the Powers are cool but the "Time Shield" is way too... you know... nonsense and generic
is just put an Time Regeneration or a Time Move Eraser (to make the bullets lose speed and just fall in the ground)
What you observe as the passage of time in Quantum Break is chronon particles flowing through the Joyce-Meyer field.
For the Time Shield ability, Jack momentary stops the flow of chronon particles in a localized area around him, effectively stopping time.
This means that bullets that come into contact with that area essentially freeze in time.
Time Stop works in much the same way, except he throws that localized bubble onto an enemy or location.
It would seem less generic and nonsense if you understood the lore of the game.
A core rule of Quantum Break's time travel is the past cannot be truly undone or changed so it wouldn't make sense for Jack to be able to undo bullet wounds he's received.
What do you mean by "generic".... there's literally few to none non-speedster users that can slow down time, it's not a great ability but still cool and not bad but what is generic is being faster than a bullet 😂
I wish time shield was more a power where her stops all time except for a bubble around him, kinda like the time stop power but flipped inside out. Would be cool to have to navigate around hazards instead of just flat out blocking them

Man I miss this game. Not only great choice of actors but awesome powers and combat. My only complaint was the language which I actually forgot about.

Okay, Time Dodge and Time Stop make some line of sense, but how the hell does a Time Shield work?
Also, if you can do "Time Rush", zipping around the battlefield and taking folks out before they even move, why do ANYTHING else?
If this logic would work, the game would’ve been a HELLUVA LOT SHORTER
Basically it's like putting himself out of the normal flow of time,thus,making things unable to interact with your mass
I would think that he's, more or less, using time to slow down or stop the bullets.
The bullets turn into a QUANTUM a'right....
If jack go beyond his limit with time abilities then I would have called it time fields remove cool down all the skill become instant repeat tomorrow or yesterday.
This game needs a sequel asap

Agreed. and with today’s graphics u wouldn’t even be able to tell between the live action and the game cutscenes and tbh the game cutscenes back then I thought were pretty dang good for a near console release game back then

Some advice. When making a video showcasing all the abilities it would be smart to have an overlay indicating when one ability is about to be introduced instead of having to guess where/when it is.
Eh that could kinda spoil the game tho. Be like saying the powers for second son and everything. It’d be one thing for powers for infamous 2 tho considering couple of them are affected by ur choices
It's quite frankly amazing to play with powers like these just about fully functional in sandbox games.
Warning: Wall of text ahead. I detail what abilities I have in my GMod. You are free to skip.
In Garry's Mod for example, I have the abilities of Jack Joyce here and Overwatch's Tracer, some of the abilities of Certain Magical Index's Mikoto Misaka, Dishonored's Corvo Attano's Blink, I can use Flaming, Orbing or Shimmering teleportation from Charmed, I have several wands from Harry Potter and many spells to go along with them, the 3DMG from Attack on Titan with it's swords, I have Charmed lighting magic, CoD Zombies' magic staves, Doctor Who's Cybermen powers, OPM Saitama's fists, Overwatch's Genji's katana, Crysis Active Camoflage, the Phantom Ruby from Sonic, Mangekyou Sharingan from Naruto, Quicksilver's powers, Flash's powers, Black Flash's powers, Iron Man's powers, Atom's shrinking growing and flying powers, Green Lantern and his other colored colleagues powers, Sans' power from Undertale, Jedi lightning powers though no lightsabre for some reason, Aiden Pearce's phone from Watch Dogs, some form of Vibe's power from The Flash, Firestorm from The Flash, and many other lesser known powers. Yeah, I'm just getting started \_("*_*)_/
So... basically you're a walking plot convenience. refer to 'Mary Sue' (your case, 'Gary Stu') or Star War's REY lol

This was my second game From Remedy I played this game just one month after Finishing Alan Wake Quantum Break is one of the best games of 2016

i dont really understand how that happen.
The blast is created by the summation of the Chronon energy stored within Jack's body, directed and focused into a single bout of energy that can be set off like a grenade.
Once released, the energy disrupts the area it explodes in, temporarily freezing whatever it caught in its path within a stutter.
