DISCLAIMER: this video is not extensive.
But, We are NOT talking about stay at home moms, we are NOT talking about a man who is providing for his family, we are NOT talking about desiring someone who is financially stable and we are NOT promoting struggle love.
We ARE talking about the dynamic between SOME rich men and young women aspiring for that type of lifestyle.
Context is important and Comprehension is key.

Thank you for this video and message. I wish more women could see through the facade of this lifestyle: it looks good on instagram, and you look good whilst living it but that's it. Your self-esteem becomes so fragile and tangible to another individual and whether or not they see your worth. The more you desperately attempt to blend into that lifestyle, the more you lose yourself and your sense of individuality. You become vacuous. The worst part is, however beautiful you are, one day you're going to lose it and when your self-worth is built on being a 'trophy wife' and you no longer look like a trophy, then what? He'll simply replace you with someone that does. I think what so many people fail to realise is that a lot of these men are successful for a reason: they're always looking for the next best thing, the next deal etc.
The money will not make you happy, maybe after the first Chanel bag you'll get a high, or a luxury car. But after a while it'll all become meaningless. Find your worth in something that doesn't have an expiry date, in something that won't go out of fashion and you'll find contentment. This lifestyle will only breed a mindset of lack, even if it looks like abundance. Your self-worth should never be made tangible.

@@lurb1557 I wish people could really see what’s happening on the inside of certain sects of society. That would kill a lot of the idolatry and fantasy about The Lifestyle.
Most of the men I’ve met in the 7-8 figure range have been miserable. The money, hustling, serial acquisition of things and people + all the rest functions as a cover for their low self worth, unrelenting self hatred and misery.
The ‘next best deal’ guy is rarely ever a well adjusted man.

@@Misssixty510 Exactly! I've found this too. Their mindset might make them superficially successful but they're seldom happy or content. Which is probably why they are seeking out attractive young women in the first place, to boost their fragile ego. Most of them are, at their core, desperately insecure and unhappy and thus enjoy making others feel the same.

Also it is hard work looking after a house and three kids. I do have to ask my husband for money if I want something. I’m here to tell y’all that it is lovely and I love it but it is a job just like any other! At least in a normal job you get to come home and have your time to yourself and money that you can spend of your own accord. It is very different as a housewife! If that is your heart to do, don’t worry! You will enjoy it if you choose to, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. But if you only want it because it looks glamorous or like an easy life, please please know that it is not! At all! Marriage takes work, kids take work, house takes work. But I personally actually enjoy looking after the house and kids and my husband which is why I chose to do this. It’s the worst thing to choose it because it’s what’s ‘expected’ and then hate your life and resent everyone. You can write your own story and there are men who don’t want a housewife! It tends to be the men who work a super high amount of hours who really benefit from having a housewife type situation, and if they are earning enough the wife doesn’t NEED to work. Bur plenty of dudes don’t even want that dynamic and the pressure it comes with. It’s about knowing what you want out of marriage and finding a man who is on the same page!

You’re so on point! This desire for “high value men” definitely stems from women growing up in poverty. We’re also going through times of financial insecurity so marrying rich seems like an easy solution. Also in most cultures women have been raised to marry well and that’s reasonable but the problem is that people take it to an extreme. It’s not either Elon Musk or an unemployed guy in his 30s who still lives with his mom.

    • @aruraven
      @aruraven 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

Poverty might be a factor for many but there's the fact that, for most of history and in many cultures, women just do not have a choice. Rich or poor. Being property to be sold to the highest bidder available was and is a reality for some women. Education, self-worth, safety, choice, a career? If you are lucky enough to live in a time and place you are even allowed to choose to and have any of these, expect to be taught he will always be more successful, bc simply, men are given opportunities women simply aren't all the time. One can be made to think you need men to enable your chances of becoming independent even.

Talking from experience, I met my ex partner when I was working full time and one of the things he told me when we first met was "whether you work or don't work, I'll always look after you". And he did. I worked and he still provided. When we were married I chose to stay home as I wanted to rest, focus on being a wife and have a baby. He continues to financially provide. After baby was born, I worked part time teaching from home. He still financially provided. We are no longer together and guess what : he still financially provides monthly for me and the children, although I work. It really also depends on the character of the man. Sometimes you really can have both. There are plenty of men who are happy to take the alpha male stand and look after their woman and family and are fine with their lady having a job, whether it be part time or otherwise. Many housewives have their own businesses and when the men are that rich they also provide staff for the house such as books, nannies, drivers etc to help the woman. It is possible to have it all and lot need to choose one or the other 😊

When this discussion becomes distorted is when women are deliberately seeking the thrill of wanting to be with a rich man (as glamorized in mainstream female rap) for all the perks and materialistic motives, you are what you attract. Beast wasn't abusive just short tempered but he knew this and was also ashamed yet Belle saw the person he wanted to learn to be and worked with him. John Smith had a misunderstanding of the Natives but was willing to learn their ways and change other's perspective.... let's not confuse flaws with character integrity.

Thank you for speaking on this. I see girls on tiktok all day talking about being a “stay at home girlfriend”, being spoiled, taken care of and living care free and I wanted that for myself. I’m starting to realize that’s not the road to happiness though. Depression, sickness, death and other challenges will still come. You need a partner that treats you as their equal and sees your worth outside of your beauty and cooking skills. I am now starting my own business and praying for my future husband. I went to a women's college 25 years ago, so feminism was Class 101 in that school. They did however make a couple of good points.
For instance, they taught us to get a degree and some career experience not only for self-edification but also for survival. Not only if the man leaves, what if he dies or gets into an accident where now you have to take care for him and the children.
So you definitely want to have your own assets whether they be intellectual or financial. "Smart Women Finish Rich" by David Bach is a good book on this subject.

Thanks for saying that not everyone wants to be a housewife. , it's true. I'm currently a housewife. I now like it, but in the beginning I wanted to jump out the window. My husband is a mid-level engineer at a tech company. There's ALOT of work that goes into hosting dinner parties, kids' education, moving every 12-18 months. About the money thing, he met me when I was a successful real estate agent. I'm college educated, so he knows my earning potential. Maybe because we are the same age and we married when he was just starting out. His money is our money. I don't ask him for money (that is degrading). Also, make sure you MARRY. Marriage protects you because you get half. If that's not the rule in your state, put it in writing.
I've found that couples who have the same values stay together longer. Rearing of children, building wealth, ect is about LEGACY. There's a huge difference between men getting lots of new money or men who want money to build something bigger. Look at Jay Z now v 2003 Jay Z. Legacy matters. Certain circles care more about that than others.

I did have a brief experience with a rich man ( I wasn't looking for it, he approached me). He did try to buy me with material things and made fun of me for being "too independent" when I refused to accept his offers. Later he turned out to act crazy when I also refused to cater to all his sexual needs and tried to make me jealous triangulating me with other women. Girls, be very careful when dealing with these men. Most of them, especially if they're self-made, are narcissists (I'm surprised Breeny didn't use that word) and so money-oriented that they don't know how to have a meaningful relationship with a woman.

Breeny!!! I wish you put this video out like 2 years ago 🥲🥲🥲 I’m 26 now but almost 3 years ago I was dating a “rich guy” who was really selfish and never had time for anything (but apparently had the time to talk to 3 other girls behind my back 🧐). He was very unstable (and a player) lol. But my dumbass still wanted him so I put up with it and tried to make a relationship work but it was nearly impossible bc of his immaturity. I got out of that and now I’m happily with someone who treats me a LOTTTT better. The guy I’m seeing now is also financially well off (not as much as the rich guy tho) and quite a bit older than me but he actually treats me the way I deserve to be treated. I was young and naive but I learned a lot since then. At the end of the day I realized it’s not about the money, I just want a man who treats me right. A man can still treat you like a queen and princess without having to be a billionaire. What good is being with someone whos “rich” but doesn’t have time for you or even respect you? I’d rather just stay single then 🤷🏻‍♀️
