@HappyGuy680: I'm not judging or hating Nintendo on anything. I want the 3DS to succeed, but there are two problems, the current library and the current price.
Mario 64 Defeat the Bo-Bomb King. Unchain the Chain Chomp. Sunshine Clean the Beach. Clean the houses, hell with that game pretty much clean. Galaxy collect purple coins or beat mission XYZ which XYZ comet in effect.
@iuvthe70sshow It's actually NOT Super Mario Land. (which is why it's called "Super Mario 3D Land," not "Super Mario Land 3D") The "3D Land" portion of the title references Mario Land because it was the first portable Mario game, whereas this is the first brand new 3D Mario game, so they put "3D" and "Land" in the title. Plus, it could never be a TRUE Mario Land game, as the Mario Land games are the ones that Miyamoto didn't work on, but Miyamoto did work on this, so it's not a true Land game.
@leatopia just because its a platformer doesn't change the fact that it is repetitive, who gives a crap if it is a platformer, there are still platformers that are way less repetitive than this. Look what I am saying is this game is too repetitive and I think lots of people would get bored of it quickly as apposed to other mario games that are fall less repetitive and are more unique
I played the demo in westfield australia today and I gatta tell ya that I did not really enjoy the game too much.... mario moves way too slow even when he's running and the camera is just too far away and is on awkward angles (yes, I did try changing perspectives), hopefully they will change it by release.
Nintendo made the coins sound like that they weren't meant to be collected in this game and in the Super Mario Galaxy games. But in New! Super Maro Bros. Wii, they made the coins sound like I needed them. But in this game, why are there no points? And why DO I need to collect coins? I know it's for 1-ups but is there like a shop somewhere like in Super Mario Galaxy 2?
@alwaysasn Mario Land 2 had checkpoints (bells), SMG2 and New Mario Bros Wii also had this flag like checkpoints, NSMB DS had checkpoints (more simplistic looking flags), the Yoshi´s Island games had the star ring checkpoints, etc To my knowkloedge, Mario games have had physical checkpoints.
@FREAKFANATIC Nintendo didn't want to lunch the 3DS too early in the first place, but because of some Nintendo fans that were bitchin Nintendo, they didn't have another choice, that's why most of the things that it should have in the start are still in project.
@ngomez0077 ya games will eventually get boring due to too much repetition, but what I am saying is this is so repetitive that a couldn't even watch the whole thing without getting bored. It may just be me but I am disapionted
@leatopia the level alone is repetitive, which is what I am saying, throughout the whole level you are going from platform to platform on green blocks so this is VERY repitive
@NaviLovesLink Yeah! Besides that, they're still many games that could still randomly be announced! We just have to be patient for the ones coming out.
Oh I get it. So this game is like a 2D Mario Game where you race the clock to the finish, but in 3D. That's kinda cool. Can't wait to get my hands on it
@Jordan7466 That's a copout answer to most games anyway. You can say that about any game of any genre. Call of Duty (insert spinoff installment name) is repetitive, Street Fighter and King of Fighters is repetitive, Final Fantasy (roman numeral here) is repetitive. In the end, all that matters is if you have fun with doing with what the game has you doing. Any game gets repetitive with enough play.
@Jamessy65 Thanks, but that says the opposite of what you claimed. It doesn't REQUIRE the 3D effect. That doesn't mean it doesn't use the 3D effect. It means the 3D affect is option (not required in order to play and enjoy the game). 3D is available for the whole game. It's the same with almost every 3DS game. You can turn the 3D on, but it's not required to play.
Do ALL the levels have that timer? That was one of the few things I didn't like about past Mario games. Timers create a sense of being rushed. I like to take my time and enjoy a level. Timers are good for certain sections, but not for a whole game.[The irony of this statement, is that I LOVE Majora's Mask. Maybe that's because I can reset and/or slow down the timer?....]
EVERYONE STOP FIGHTING! i like first person shooters, such as Halo. but that dosent mean i hate mario! I love both FPS games AND mario games!whats wrong with liking both? a true gamer likes all genres of games. FPS fans stop insulting Mario, and Mario fans stop insulting FPS. both Halo AND Mario are awesome!
@littlefishkid how is it different its still linear gameplay without the space environment. 3d mario games shouldn't be linear. last good 3d mario was sunshine. until we get a 3d mario with the sunshine/mario 64 formula i retire of 3d mario games. I personally hated the galaxy saga. this just look the same
@badmouthsadmouth i mean there's no "run" button for any other 3d mario platformer. only the side scrollers had run. even though this is still like mario bros wii level set up, it's still has the platforming style like mario 64, sunshine, and the galaxies and they just have mario always running the same way
this game looks to be awesome lets just hope it is.... Im so excited i love super mario but know mario in 3d just blows me away. Looks like its more like super mario galaxy to me because instead of going forward in a course like super mario bros. this new mario game looks awesome the way you go up down back. looks great, great vid....
they probebly wanted the game to make sence. if it was a warp pipe., you would go in and it wouldnt make sence to go on another floating platform thats seperated. but mario games never makes sence like shooting fire balls underwater in the super mario bros. series. sorry for accedentally flaging this messege as spam.
@MarvelNERDBoy Lol what? you seen a tad bit of the game. They obviously will not show the best parts of the Game they want you to see it for yourself. This is the first 3D Mario bros game. This will be a huge seller because of all the hype and great comments by people who have played it
I just don't understand the world it takes place... it's so random :\ It's not like the old school mario where you were actually in a real world, not in another dimension flippin in the air in platforms that don't even makes senses... Oh well, i just don't know yet. Gotta wait and see :\
@Jordanime88 How so, the only mario game i can recal that had physical checkpoints was SMW and that was a totally unique style, this one is a pole like sonic, yes its a flag not a ball, but I would have apraciated something original, or just do it old style and not actually put the physical checkpoints.
@NaviLovesLink They mean as in titles at launch, kind of bad when you have to wait until the Christmas season 6 months after the system comes out to get must have games. At least Sony knows how to have a good game launch lineup. Still not as good as the launch lineup for the Dreamcast had though.
@calvin546 I don't like that actually. Whenever I play a Mario game, the dash button is pressed the entire time. I thought the only reason that 64 DS had a dash button was because of no analog, and now they have it- and they don't use it. I would prefer they tie the speed to the Circle Pad!
@badmouthsadmouth They DO have a dash button! Quoted from the impressions link in the description of the video : "A dedicated dash button is welcome and being able to control your speed is a lot easier than having your speed tied to how far you move the Circle Pad."
The 3GS is going to be 170 dollars starting august 12 due to low sales. But if you pick one up before that date you will receive 20 free virtual console games as an incentive for anyone who feels ripped off. We need sales people or the 3ds could possibly be ome obsolete
@SuperLuigiVids finally the 3DS is getting its mojo. super mario 3D, resident evil, Legend of zelda ocharina of time remake, TETRIS etc. but the game Im waiting for, is a metroid game. I love metroid. its my favorite franchise from nintendo. and I wouldent be supprised if they did make a metroid game
I'm a little disappointed they recycled music from Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2. The other complaint I have is that the concept of a Flag pole in the a 3D level doesn't feel right to me as Star would like other 3D Marios and levels are kind of short. Aside from that I am extremely excited for this game
@Jamessy65 There are no reviews yet, because the game hasn't been released. Unless you know of any reviews I can watch. Anyway, the 3D effect can be turned on or off at any time, so I am not sure why you would say it doesn't use 3D.
@NaviLovesLink uhhh i just checked gamestop.com for kingdom hearts 3d but it no show it and i know that its not selling yet but the uslly show games that come in l8ter but hopfully its real me big fan of khearts check mah channel backround
@NaviLovesLink I only wish that Megaman Legends 3 wasn't canceled. That game was one of the only 3DS games that I was looking forward to get and it would have been a major console/handheld seller. Plain and simple, CAPCOM IS F***'N UP!!
@superdrybones1000 I don't remember hearing the music in Mario Galaxy, and I haven't played Galaxy 2. But if this track is in either of those games, then it taken from Mario 3. The Tanuki suit mario wears in this game also comes from Mario 3.
@mario4ever1000 Go in to the eShop some time before August 12 and you will be automatically registered for the downloads. The 10 NES games will be available at some point in September, while the GBA games will appear near the end of the year.
Everyone who is like I will wait until 3ds lite is dumb. If the current model does not sell well nintendo will lose in the handheld market and stop development please get one now if you get it before august 12 you get 20 free virtual console games.
You guys better buy a 3dS soon or nintendo will lose faith and stop production and they will lose to Sony please help out the cause. If you get one within the next two weeks you get 20 free virtual console games starting September 1
@HappyGuy680: I'm not judging or hating Nintendo on anything. I want the 3DS to succeed, but there are two problems, the current library and the current price.
There's gonna be some great games coming up, but sales won't really pick up until Nintendo drops the price.
This is like super mario galaxy 2 since theres comet coins and the bowser checkpoint.
Mario 64 Defeat the Bo-Bomb King. Unchain the Chain Chomp. Sunshine Clean the Beach. Clean the houses, hell with that game pretty much clean. Galaxy collect purple coins or beat mission XYZ which XYZ comet in effect.

my mom always told me that why does mario always look left and right, well she said its becuase mario is afraid that shadow mario is ever coming back
@1212cars (im on an ipod so i cant reply) shut up he's nice enuff to answer ur question be happy with it... Btw, how can u have attitude over text?
@Elkhunter6c just wait till holiday season nintendo gonna sell games and 3ds consoles like you won't believe
@farahmariokartwii Well of course, never the less, it shows that they got lazy in favor of promoting the Wii U.
*SPOILERS FOR THOSE WHO DONT HAVE THE GAME* this is really World 4-5 or something like that in the game, some of the sounds are also different
cant you hang on to the edge of a ledge any more? And is this Super Mario Bros 3. Nintendo stop feeding them nostalgia, they dont need it :P
@ChrisSquareFan
yeah, but this is just a demo. I think they will improve the levels before the release.
@maidenslayer I know they made Mario 64 for DS, but i was talking about for 3DS graphics and 3D enabled.
this game kinda looks like a mixture between Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Galaxy, and Super Mario Sunshine. Interesting...
This honestly looks disappointing. I thought it was going to be like Mario 64,sunshine,or galaxy, not like the Wii one.
I always liked the 2D mario games, but if this game bring actual 2D mario gameplay into a 3D game I might get on board.
I hope that this will be challenging like Super Mario Bros. 3 and I hope there are 8 worlds again like the old days.
@superdrybones1000 Quite correct. This remix is taken from the one found in Mario Galaxy 1 in the sweet sweet galaxy.
is it just me or are there no ambientations in this game? Every level consists just of blocks, except the airships.
God damn it! I can't wait to play this game! This is the Mario games iv'e been waiting for since Sunshine came out.
@LeloughTheRebelion Totally, definitely getting SSF4 and DOA with it, we'll fight on those. ^_~
@NintendoGamer2011 yeah but i'm definately getting it. they always release the good games around the holidays. lol
@blackopsplayer111 Actually no it's bad. I was hoping to get for my Birthday, but oh well I'll buy it eventually.
Ah, this game mixes the 2D and 3D elements of the Super Mario games into a nice cohesive whole. Definite buy.
@NintendoSpiderMan LOL i had no idea wow what a different idea for a story wow bowsers really mean to mario
they say its all mario game levels in one plus one zelda i wanna play the mario 64 stage
Mario360: AW! The flag doesn't go down? WHAT??? NO CASTLE?!?! WHY NINTENDO? WHY????????
i like this stage. but seriously its way to short like all mario games. plus fail with typing "worldd".
Aw, I've never liked playing with timelimits. But maybe they just have as an time trial in the game
@a1exandearth me too, im kinda sick of the whole space galaxy setting, its been done
@LeloughTheRebelion I might actually get one earlier since I have a summer job. xD
@17jun1989 They need to wait a bit for that to happen. I think they should first remake Sunshine.
omg MY FAVORITE MUSIC FROM SMB3! THIS GAME'S GONNA RAWK! CAN'T WAIT TIL NOVEMBER! WOOOOOOOOOO!!!
AND LEGEND OF ZELDA SINCE OCARINA OF TIME IS PROBABLY THE BEST GAME ON GAMECUBE 64 AND WII
ever since super mario 64 ive been absessed with super mario FREE ROAM GAMES WHOS WITH ME?
@leatopia i would have to agree with you, i just thought this level alone was a little boring
Love the oldschool music. The game looks great. I wish we culd play these demos
@1212cars Ehh....I Don't Know if you can read but...in the title says "E3 2011"
@SkotTV What are you talking about? This is just like a 3D New Super Mario Bros.
To tell the truth I'm really sick of hoping on goombas and saving the princess
A Mario game whose gameplay is a fusion of both 3D and 2D mario games, AWESOME
the level feels kinda empty.. but i like they kept the music and the flagpole
looks way too repetitive, this would probably get boring fast, but we will see
Same here, I'm really not a fan of the whole mission based gameplay.
You guys realize that they just resused the music from Mario Galaxy?
The music from 0:41 to 0:52 looks like the music of the teleporter in SMG2
The teleporting boxes are just like launch stars from super mario galaxy.
I am totally digging the music. I can't wait to hear all of the tracks!
@TheSuperjohn2000 Because they want to add something new...?
@shadowmax889 the side scrolling Wii one,new super mario bros.
@1212cars Yep, i'm sorry, was not my intention to hurt, sorry..
whope there will be platforming levels like mario super bros ds
I wonder if they've added Yoshi as a surpise in this game....
Thumbs up f you think they should get rid of the time limit!!
IT EVEN HAS MUSIC FROM THE GAME.... GO OVERWORLD 2 THEME!!!!!
Game looks fantastic. Can't wait to get it on November.
I just bought a 3DS to get this soon. Also, Mario Kart.
@newyorkerboy1 has there been any other 3d mario games?
they should have released this as one the earlier 3ds games.
Mario soudns super happy like he was in Super Mario Galaxy 2
i pre-ordered it today AND I CAN'T FUCKING W8 ANY LONGER!!!
ejaculation @ 0:50! :P cant wait for this game and my 3ds!!
@blackopsplayer111 Nov.9?! That's a day after my Birthday.
i dont think that's mario's voice
or it may be just me
