Yeah I agree that riding on other dragons would be cool. Especially since some dragons are supposed to be able to latch onto things and climb at some point. So it'd be cool.
The Hogwarts part is true and crazy as no one on the team at the time even knew that this was occurring at the same time as DoD was on kickstarter
If you were curious about the buff dragon, it was a stand in for the bio/micro at the time, the micro (feathered zygovo) will offer some egg cooldown buffs as well as it's unique ability (preen) providing a defense buff. They've got plans in the works to allow the micro to perch on trees (and the blitz to cling to cliffs), but as for riding other dragons the only direct word we've had about it is hints about a growth-buffing, sanguivore dev lindwyrm, way, waaaay down the line.

I remember hearing that Jao confirmed Easterns werent coming to DoD. This was years ago.

im pretty sure in one of the livestreams jao said that the eastern dragon will most likeley be a fully aquatic dragon
Yup! They're planning to do some pretty serious water expansion down the line, the (flightless) long drake was a part of that! With the timing change on the megamap, it looks like that's gotten shuffled around a bit on the trello, but our dearly beloved map designer has received instructions to leave space for it!
I just hate how we’ve had the plasma and acid dragons one at a time and as they get ready, but the rest we have to get in a bundle
I honestly prefer it that way. I would rather have a lot of content to play with all at once than a little at a time and the bundles will keep everyone busy until the next update. I believe combat balancing also plays a role
@@wkphantom2607 I would agree if they didn’t start off at a snail’s pace, and STAY at a snail’s pace. Can’t do nothing but wait tho smh
@@brightestdarkness7882 I think considering the size of the development team they haven't done too badly. I would rather the update be made well than fast but I do see your point it can be frustrating waiting so long for something that has been years in the making
