Acq inc introduced me to dnd for the first time at one of their live shows that i had no idea what i was walking into ... i have them to thank for some of the best times with the best friends I've ever had
I casually came across this wonderful group, and now in 2019 they are still growing and get funnier and funnier. Just know, I recommend this to everyone, especially DMs who want to start and ask where I get my inspiration.
Wow all the characters of Acquisitions Incorporated make their live game look so flawless and natural. I never thought that as individuals they zoned out or had fears.
I remember seeing the costumes and stream for the TOA Pax Live and it was such a joy to see it all come together. It’s amazing to see the “behind the scenes” and see how it all comes together/frame of mind everyone is in. Best wishes to future streams and events!
Acquisitions Incorporated PAX Live is my absolute favourite dnd stream to watch!! These guys and Critical Role are always inspiring me to play dungeons and dragons
I recommend picking up um... 2012 or 2013 or so and just watching whichever you want or going in order from there. Even if you don't watch things chronologically you're still going to love the characters, and the people behind them, they're always amazing!
Daniel Rafuls it was two parts. The first one was podcast form and part two was the live performance. It should be on Penny Arcades channel, check AC Inc playlist and the first one is called enter the trash witch or something trash witch. Both episodes are one of my favourite AC episodes.

Yes, but relative to your needs. The overall cost is cheaper than physical books. The tools make looking through multiple reference books smoother and more user friendly. DMs with subscription fee have full access to their players' characters' stats, items, hp, etc. My laptop/tablets weighs less than 1 book so DMing away from home is easier. With master subscription you can share all references with players without giving them out/havingto wait for them to be returned. Android/IOS App allows keeping books offline. NEGATIVES: online/web browser interface is better than tablet/smartphone so laptop is almost required. Physical books are easier to flip thru. If I memorized where something is in thebook I can look at that page. Adventure League only allows creating player's with the PHB +1 add'l resource and with all of them in DnDBeyond I am spoiled into using them all at once. A race from volo, a subclass from SCAG, a background from Strahd, and a spell from Xanathar's is not allowed in AL.

In terms of spells known, yeah. It's kinda like bringing a knife to a gun fight, and winning.
That's the one time you'll hear that from a fake wiz..er I mean sorcerer.
Strix is a divine soul sorcerer. So she has access to both cleric and sorcerer spell lists.

I started with the 2011 live game and didn't go back to watch the first episodes until later on. Worked out fine for me. That's my recommendation.
