I bought the book to use it as a corporate template in the sandbox game I'm planning. I'm mashing together Ghosts of Saltmarsh, Acquisitions Incorporated, and a few adventures from earlier editions (I'm also looking at some of the stuff on D&D Beyond) to make a huge multi-pronged 1-20 campaign set in Eberron. I have evil, good, criminal, law-enforcement, political, corporate, comedic and murderhobo story paths set up with intersecting hooks, unrelated side quests, and an overarching theme of greed and nautical adventure with a steam/magepunk flavour. The rest I'll improvise because we all know that the players will decide what's fun and where they go. This will be the first sandbox campaign that I've run and I can't wait for it to go gloriously off the rails. Does anyone have any suggestions on fun stuff that I could add as easter eggs/jokes/side quests for the players? The sky's the limit, as the players literally have all of Eberron and its weird planes to run around in and all of the freaky magical technology to play with.
Oh good, my party was hoping to expand Trollskull into a franchise and hopefully this can help them stay afloat in Waterdeep's cutthroat tavern market.

AcqInc is the Penny Arcade/D&D game that has been running in one form or another for more than a decade (it started as a way to show off the features of 4th edition) and stands out from other games in its distinctive corporate flair. This book lets you dive into the office bureaucracy of running your own franchise in your own games, with all the benefits and "responsibilities" therein, as official non-homebrew content. I love Acquisitions Inc, and so far Crawford has been great at the head of the table (RIP Perkins), but I don’t need to spend $60 on another book to tell me and my players how to be funny. We do just fine on our own. Again, BRING ME PSIONICS!
I like to play a class I call the observer. He is always in the background observing from both near and afar. He is always ready to take notes, learn and wonder about life as it happens around him. In his sparetime he likes to daydream and be introverted with both ideas and knowledge.
If you use the provided campaign it's very early in the campaign. You could totally have a different scenario though where you did choose at the beginning.
So instead of fixing The Beastmaster, instead of giving us some decent Sorcerer Subclasses or Warlock Pacts Boons, we get a Dilbert book for D&D.... (Edit: clarification)
I think the problem with this video is that it talks about a lot and says nothing at all. It just feels like a lot of fluff, and anytime I wanted him to give specifics, he just moved on in favor of the floaty fluff. I think this style of game could be a ton of fun, but this as a marketing bit was not the best I've seen.
@GiantGoblin I was referring to subclasses for Sorcerers. I'd like to see more than the three Pacts for the Warlock. Something more to choose than Chain, Blade, or Book
Um but we do have decent sorcerer subclasses. Just because you dislike them doesnt make them bad. Lol Now I agree some features here and there arent the best like Shadow sorcerers grave save but still.

Tried it in an adventure league game. Unfortunately half of the players didn't like it. I think they saw it as more work and not more opportunity.

Funfact this book is like SCAG, the dnd team didn't work on it, so even if it didn't come out we wouldn't get those.
