Imo, this season is getting worse by the episode, and we only have 3 episodes left. The only part in this episode that intrigued me was the very ending. I honestly almost fell asleep during this whole episode.

Like I'm glad they learned their lesson from season 3, but everytime I see them showing an origin story for one of the Devoes.. Powergirl 76 the writers meant it wasn't Nora and they said that Cecil daughter isn't a meta human, the face she made when she saw Iris was like she was sad(if she hated Iris she wouldn't be at the wedding nor would she say its something of the ages and she's very happy to see it plus how happy and awkward around Barry( and in the comic baryy was dead so she never met him until time travel of course). And now with the lightning nah if that it ain't they daughter then the only other person I could think of is that it's their granddaughter
I agree that this episode wasn't bad at all, it gave some necessary background on the Devoes' and also the team now knows what his plan is. Finally the Mechanic left Devoe! Yay! I think the girl is Dawn Allen but I don't think she looked negatively at Iris, she tends to ave that kind of look whenever she is done speaking to them (like when she spoke to Harry and Cisco in Jitters).

i thought this was a good episode and the ending had me very interested. coffee shop girl looked pissed iris came to the door, so idk who she is. the only thing i can think of is she may be devoe or thawne's daughter. maybe thawne pretended to be barry and got iris pregnant? idk. i just don't get her facial expression towards iris, Caitlyn, and Harrison. yet she was warm towards joe, cecil, cisco, barry, and ralph. maybe joe and cecil will die (i hope not!) and then cisco may actually leave and then barry disappears like in the article??? now i will say Caitlyn was extremely selfish this episode and almost got gypsy killed! and i agree with mommymaster about devoe being a piece of crap from jump. he was controlling from the start with his condescending remarks. I believe he called in that strike on the village as a fear tactic so she would come back to him. he looked like he was breaking down because he lost control of her, not because he lost his love.
Marlize in the beginning (flashback) did make a statement that power corrupts if it's in the wrong hands. So Devoe's plan does not have to make sense. If power is in the wrong hands, it will get overused/abused. He did not have to kill the guards to get away. He could have just stunned them like he did with Caitlin. Even if this plan would work, he would want something else afterwards. It's like a drug. And Marlize was also not cautious. He already showed who he was from the beginning, and she ignored it.

The reason why there are sometimes multiple directors on shows is due to the length of episodes per season, workload, budget, schedule and directors are more like above-the-line worker bees on TV unlike line-producers and more senior producers.
SO I believe its Dawn Allen because of the fact she talked to everyone but her mother(Iris) and realize how she dose not want her father (Barry) to see her again cuz he well recognize her from the wedding plus her lighting is a combination of Barry's and Iris's . They have different directors because they r on tight schedules and it takes about 2 and a half weeks per episode so while the actors r making there next episode the director is still on the last episode while a new director does the next episode
There has to be something up with Joe and Cecile's baby. I mean it's nice to show that Joe is happy and the family is expanding but they are putting a lot of focus on Cecile' s pregnancy. What if the baby is immune to whatever Devoe is doing with the Enlightenment and they have to sent it away (maybe to the future) to save them later on... just like Moses lol PS. Love your mom's theory about Barry thinking about how he defeated the Metas individually and use that to stop Devoe collectively.

Honestly, I enjoy every moment of Devoes Wife Arc and anytime she was in screen. Season been meh though for me at least
