Barry in episode one is essentially Barry’s mind split across his whole life. He repeats lines he has said as a child, his rooftop conversation with Oliver and moments in the future. A popular theory is that when he starts running around destroying star labs, he’s at the point where he fights reverse flash in his childhood home
Don’t care what anyone says season 4 suit is the best suit of any live action flash show or movie. Yes season 9 is comic book accurate but see here’s the thing. The comic book version is more animated and there some version that there is implied depth. So it wouldn’t be possible really to show the depth of his suit. And no matter what super suit it is it has to look good on the actor. Like the mask the padding the design all of it. And because its live action it has to look like how a professional superhero would wear. Like Robert Paterson Batman suit shows more depth then drawing does in the comic books, but its implied that it also has more layers to it, like bullet proof armor, military tech etc. but the comic accurate design of Batman suit is one of the very first Batman suit like 1950s to 1980s. But it doesn’t look professional like the Robert Paterson. Like believable that it could bullet prof.
comic book accurate never means better, i mean look at comic book accurate Cpt America, he looks awful compared to live action spoilers I think: I also really liked the reverse flash suit that barry puts on at some point

I dont normally comment so when i do its something i believe in, i genuinely hope and want u to continue after season 4 its such a good show and for me personally it’s my favourite show of all time, yes at times the tone of the show feels off and some moments are not as good as others but come on, 9 seasons and we expect it to be 10/10 for the entire thing, they are allowed to have some misses when almost all of the show is fantastic, we are acting like every show is spectacular when its false all shows have some misses. For example, 9X10 so we are very deep into the show and almost finished, 9X10 is some of the best story telling. People like to hate on the most popular things and the flash was the most watched show on The CW for years.
there´s nothing like " a few misses" when 6 out of 9 season where mediocre pointing to awfull. litteraly even in cinematopraphy you feel you´re watching power rangers when you´re on season 7

Also post season 7 to counter act the argument of looking like power rangers does the cgi not improve, yes it does, example a Armageddon literally right after 7, and 7 had to deal with Covid so u have to give them the benefit of the doubt. @@Armaani1805 I'm genuinely glad for you that you were able to enjoy so much of it. Just because you can reason why something happened to you, it doesn't mean that the pain the situation caused just magically disappears. Your mind may be able to reason why it happened but your body still processes it as an abandonment scar. I know this is a superhero show and the stakes are unrealistically high, but Iris's emotional outburst is how anyone would react after their husband abruptly leaves like that indefinitely without emotionally processing it. Remember they didn't have a funeral or grieve barry in any way because how could they? This is the first time anything like this has happened so how do you expect her to just know how to emotionally deal with it? Barry wasn't dead and she knew that, but also he sort of was dead in that she also knew he could/should never come back. How do you process such an event happening to you emotionally? How do you even begin to know how to feel about that?
He wasn’t her husband he was her boyfriend, yes her emotions were real but you dated him POST him being flash. He owed the force cause Jay left after standing in for her brother. So while she’s allowed to feel, she needed some understanding. This show never allowed Barry to process it was always how she felt which isn’t healthy at all
@@opinionladyythat’s also because ever since Barry and Iris became a couple the writers and showrunners never gave Barry any solo character development except for crisis on infinite earths
@@opinionladyy I’m ngl idk what any of this means lol. But they were engaged to-be married at the end of that season. Having a piece of legal paper that officially says “this person is now your husband” doesn’t change much in terms of the love you feel for someone. Iris did have understanding but also felt emotionally distraught by the situation. To the team she stayed solid and showed her understanding. but in private to Barry, and in therapy she expressed how she felt about the situation which is how healthy people heal from things like this. If your argument is that Barry doesn’t get the opportunity to do the same that’s the writers fault, it’s not Iris’s. She’s never silenced Barry ever at all in this respect. If the writers didn’t want him to do the same it doesn’t make Iris doing it any less valid, she just had the privilege to be able to do it. Ideally BOTH characters should be written to express themselves how iris did.

if it was a m67, then it exploded in 8,400 meters/27560 feet per second. So now imagine how fast barry must move to make such speed look like it is standing still, so he must the moving as fast, so 8400 meter per second, or 30240 km/h or 18790 mph, which is 24.5 Mach.......and they are surprised when Barry hit 2 Mach, lol
Don, she knows why he left and understands it completely. She had just been bottling up her emotions until they exploded at the therapy session. Why did so many people not understand that? And the "We are the Flash" line is a metaphor for their life long bond and love for each other as well as the fact that Barry wouldn't be the man he is or have a reason to do what he does without her. Again, why did so many people not understand that?
I actually agree on the first part, she’s just showing her emotions, however the “we are the flash” part is just part of the problem of Iris would be presented across this season and S5, where she goes from a likable Journalist to all of sudden the team leader which is completely unearned.
@@mattholt2451 I don't get the issue with that line. It's a metaphor for their lifelong bond and the fact that he wouldn't have a reason to do what he does without her. Why did so many people misunderstand that? There was no one else who could lead the team. Cisco didn't want to because he didn't feel like it was his job. Joe had his day job as a detective, Caitlin left to figure herself out, and Harry went back home to E2 with Jessie. Plus, her journalist instinct and the training Joe gave her as a father and a cop made her the best choice to lead the team. Not everything a person gets has to be earned.
@@passionsquietrage sure the line itself is harmless if not sweet, but it’s also indicative of the shows dynamic for the next two seasons as it went from the Flash to the Flahs and Iris. She was great as journalist who would come in to help, like Joe who is a cop but helps with flash stuff. She did not need to become a full time member of the team much less the leader of it. And Cisco did want to lead the Flash after Barry’s disappearance. Overall She was not qualified especially after Barry came back
@@mattholt2451 But again, who else was going to do it? Cisco and Wally needed someone at Star Labs to monitor things while they were in the field. Yes, there others more qualified(not that you need that many qualifications to read a computer screen) to lead but those people weren't completely available to lead. Once Barry returned, she took more of a co-leader role due to being the leader's wife. Plus, a wife is supposed to be supportive of and in the loop of all her husband's activities including superhero stuff. But it seems like no one wanted her to do anything but be a journalist in the background.
@@passionsquietrage well it’s not just reading a computer screen tbf, it’s coordinating and introducing ideas and complex solutions. And yes she can monitor from Star Labs without being team leader, Felicity does the same and she’s not the leader of Team Arrow. Iris being a Journalist should be her main focus, just like in S1-3, 6-9, I personally don’t mind her dropping in helping. But having her just drop journalism altogether for two seasons to lead the team was weird and forced
I honestly think you should keep going with The Flash, there are some bad episodes as well as some really good episodes. Some of the best episodes in the show go on later , like "Whats Past is Prologue" the 100 episode in season 5, which is s5 ep 8. Also with Season 7 Episode 2, "The Speed of Thought" one of my favorite episode of the whole show. Also Season 9 episode 10, which is a great call back to a certain season.
In the comics Wally is the fastest by a significant margin. He’s so fast time doesn’t affect him if someone killed him as a child he wouldn’t be affected now because he’s that fast.
honestly Iris has insight as a reporter that makes her an invaluable asset to the team People constantly overlook Iris's deductive reasoning skills because she is surrounded by a team of scientists but take that and combine her more grounded skillset and she becomes the perfect leader/team mom. I love how She is thrust into leadership roles from here on out in the show because it plays in perfectly to her skillsets we've seen her use thus far in the show. She's not a scientist or a meta, but she's smart and cleaver. She's not strong but she's been trained by Joe and currently has a body count of 2 (Clock King and Savitar). She has waaay more going on for herself than the fanbase gives her credit for and I think that is a massive shame....
@MegumiMary yes say it to Barry who catched Snart's Dad's bullet in 1st season, zoom who catched when was shot while being busy kicking Barry. So stop making sht up...
34:14 literally what everyone was asking when this first came out😂 Answer: the writers didn't have anything for her to do but since she is to important to get rid off, they just made her leader
I'mma play devil advocate for Iris here... Barry could've told them to work on a way to get him out of the speed force before leaving but didn't. And it's kind of scary having the most important person in your life be someone who at any moment is willing to sacrifice themselves without atleast considering other options first.
The second paragraph they didn’t care when it was for Wally..guilt tripped him actually Barry never allowed to feel ok here. Always has to apologize and think about how they feel but his are irrelevant
39:50 I love when a character has feelings of abandonment for something that they know couldn't be helped- it is so human. Like when Katara snapped at her father in the Book 3 opening- it is a moment that remind you that these characters, while recognizing that there are real stakes to the things that are being done, are still hurt but them. As a writer this is something I struggle to get right sometimes- but there are moments when years worth of in universe examples of characters doing things "for the greater good" that also have costs on the people in their lives will be brought up and turn what was once seen as countless acts of selfless heroism as more like selfdestructive acts of someone who could be s*icidal just trying to die a hero's death.... I F*cking love writing like this! It reminds us about the human component to these characters
Considering that Barry went to save the planet (where Iris lives and her family too), she should get over with her emotions and definitely shouldn't be angry with Barry. Moreover, Barry spent like eternity there (which was established) which in itself is suffering billion times worse than anything Iris could've felt, besides if he spent that time in the same way as Wally (showing worst moments of life) then it is literally a hell. So it should be Barry who is emotionally broken and Iris supporting him(if writers wanted to make her someone who isn't that hateable)... But in ur delulu world Iris deserves more compassion than Barry, if somebody I cared for come back after such torture and saved the world I would be happy if he/she didn't lose his/her mind...
@@noone6896 Barry doesn't remeber though... his mind broke and he kinda lost his memories of what he experianced once they "got him back to normal" Yeah he probably experianced hell that resulted in his mind being broken but if you don't remember being torutured then you can't harbor ill feelings about it Iris recognizes her feelings are illogical- emotions are themselves not fueled by logic but emotion. Again I bring up the example of Katar being upset with her Father in Book 3 of ATLA
Iris got my blood boiling I just can't with her... Also this is my first time watching and I heard Many people said iris get worse from season 4 and the rest of the seasons

She just needed to talk about it with him which is what she did. The point isn't him answering "ofc I have to leave", it's what comes after and just having the conversation as a whole. Which is what they had at the end. Not to mention she didn't ask again why Barry had to leave. It's just how she started the conversation and that even if it sounds illogical at first, she just wanted to get that shit out of her chest. She does not hate nor blame Barry. She's just hurt in general.
And they all already confronted Barry about what he felt; he was literally happy after being conscious again. The topic really isn't about what she was doing for Barry.
This is one of those "girl things" women do when communicating their feelings, because the average guy would just straight up talk about what's up and then logically think about things, that's why what she did was realistic.
@@stargazerequiemYes she did blame Barry. If she wasn't mad or blaming Barry, she wouldn't have said what she said in the therapy room. I understand that it realistic, but it's not okay to question his world ending decision the way she did which is still selfish thing to say. If she wanted to communicate her feelings, communicate how you feel being left alone all this months. Don't question why he did. She knows why.
We can't play it's one of those girls things card neither. Plenty of women wouldn't have acted or question him the way she did.
Also everybody made sure in the room that Barry was okay mentally at the end of episode 1. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about Barry's resolve to save the world that Irish lives in as well. Either way. Either way The whole scene made Iris seem selfish and idiotic to ask that question.

THE FLASH SEASON 4 LETS GOOO
Cisco basically stood Gypsy up on what was Valentine’s Day in her dimension
Like believable that it could bullet prof.
comic book accurate never means better, i mean look at comic book accurate Cpt America, he looks awful compared to live action
spoilers I think:
I also really liked the reverse flash suit that barry puts on at some point
A combine version of season 9 and 4 would be great.

Practicality-wise yes it's the best, but design-wise the s8-s9 suit was the best. Plus, this suit was somewhat uncomfortable for Grant.
Please don't stop with this season, there are so many great things to come! Keep watching til the end.
In the comics sometimes Barry is the fastest & sometimes Wally is. It really just depends on the writer and the arc of each character at the time.

@@deluxxo5962 I really don’t know if ur trolling lmao, if ur saying 6 out of 9 seasons are mediocre than idk bro, it’s ur opinion but in those 6 seasons, u have reverse flash, zoom, Savitar, devoe, in season 6 bloodwork, not to mention the incredible cgi and writing, so it’s ur opinion but to me the only bad season is season 7 other than that ur acting like Armageddon is bad and the death storm arc was bad lol. Also post season 7 to counter act the argument of looking like power rangers does the cgi not improve, yes it does, example a Armageddon literally right after 7, and 7 had to deal with Covid so u have to give them the benefit of the doubt. In my opinion 7 out of 9 seasons are incredible and season 7 is bad and 9 is mediocre. Ur opinion tho.
@@Armaani1805 I'm genuinely glad for you that you were able to enjoy so much of it. As for me, 1 and 2 are fantastic, 3 is really good, 4 is fine, 5 is pretty painful with a couple of highlights, 6A is pretty good, 6B is boring and scatter brained, all of 7 is garbage, 8A is better than 7 but just kinda fine, 8B is just wasted (they could have done so much with DeathStorm but there was so little to him and was a perfect example of Barry being a side character in his own show, 8C was the best the Forces were ever done which isn't saying much but it's something, and 9 was overall pretty bad with like 2 good episodes. So the show is about 50-50 for me between good and bad, but with so much of the good being loaded at the beginning I have no desire to ever again watch through all the bad to get the rest of the good.
@@jacobcenter7374 that’s fair, like I said in my previous comment, it’s ur opinion and especially in tv shows and movies it’s very subjective people could like the most odd things that are normally regarded as some of the worst stuff, but for me personally I love all of the show outside of 7 and the first couple episodes of 9, and even in season 5 like u said u don’t like it, it has some incredible episodes, I won’t say the title because of spoilers but I’ll say the episode number 5X15 and the 100th episode and to me many more in season 5, and for me the good far outweighs the bad to where I rewatch it countless times as I just rewatched it again in May and I’m most probably going to rewatch it again soon.

Yeah, she knew why Barry left. Doesn't mean she was ok with it, or didn't experience trauma or loss. She's allowed to have emotions about when he left and what she experienced in his absence .
That's true, she is allowed to feel how she feels. We're not dismissing that, but it's still selfish and idiotic of her to say that, ANGRILY as if the world wasn't going to end.

You’re killing us don. Where’s the movies
I’ve been waiting a decade
if it was a m67, then it exploded in 8,400 meters/27560 feet per second.
Enjoying the reactions my favorite series , love the whole arrowverse so I hope you continue with the rest of the series, all of em really
I agree I think it is worth watching the other seasons to see how the story ends
I have a hard time imagining him watching the last scene of season 4 and not continuing into season 5.
In the comics Wally is the fastest by a significant margin. He’s so fast time doesn’t affect him if someone killed him as a child he wouldn’t be affected now because he’s that fast.
honestly Iris has insight as a reporter that makes her an invaluable asset to the team
People constantly overlook Iris's deductive reasoning skills because she is surrounded by a team of scientists but take that and combine her more grounded skillset and she becomes the perfect leader/team mom.

34:14 literally what everyone was asking when this first came out😂
Answer: the writers didn't have anything for her to do but since she is to important to get rid off, they just made her leader
I like to imagine what Barry went through the speed force is how they treat AI copies of human consciousness in love death and robots.
@@noone6896 Barry doesn't remeber though... his mind broke and he kinda lost his memories of what he experianced once they "got him back to normal"
Yeah he probably experianced hell that resulted in his mind being broken but if you don't remember being torutured then you can't harbor ill feelings about it
Iris recognizes her feelings are illogical- emotions are themselves not fueled by logic but emotion. Again I bring up the example of Katar being upset with her Father in Book 3 of ATLA
Can't wait to see how you react to the Barry and Cisco scene at the beginning of season 4 episode 3.
