I worked for a hotel for over 12 years. Eventually I became one of the directors. The owners would take us to dinner once a year. We ate dinner at the Fountainbleau hotel in Miami Beach. Their special was the Tomahawk ribeye. The menu price was $300. The other directors dared not order it because of the high price. I went ahead and ordered it. When the orders arrived at the table. Everyone was asking who had ordered the Tomahawk steak. The plating and presentation was phenomenal. The chairman of the company came over and asked what I had ordered, and the pricing. He then turned around to the food & beverage director and asked him if he could get ahold of the same cut of meat. A month later we started selling the tomahawk steak as a dinner for two for $100.
