@07:51 @Ruchika The image of broken Balkrisha was not due to Krishnadevaraya but due to Islamic iconoclasm. The Vijayanagara empire was defeated by the neighbouring sultanates in 1565CE. The capital Hampi faced the brunt of it. It's temples where damaged, the Balakrishna idol included. Hampi went into oblivion. Krishnadevaraya brought the idols as war trophies only to worship them in temples. This is no way can be compared to Islamic iconoclasm that stems from hatred towards idolators and results in idol desecration. You should have made this distinction clear in the video. Otherwise nice video.
You forgot to mention how Krishnadevaraya was the instigator in this case. He started the war against Muslims. You can call him the brain-dead Sanghi of medieval India. Krishnadevaraya, along with his allies (Muslims included), attacked the small Muslims kingdoms of Deccan and Maharashtra for many years. He used to destroy their local mosques as a mark of territory. Hence when Vijayanagara became weak, Muslims came together and took revenge by attacking it and destroying Hampi. Not saying Muslims or Islam are any better, but in this case it was purely tit for tat.
Way to deal with such a heated topic with much playfulness and reason! Also you're awesome to hum well, make eyeshadows look manageable, and make history hot, all at once ❤
Lmao the moment a so called historian starts deleting comment of some layman history enthusiasts like me on a irrelevant yt channel of her.. You know how weak their argument is.. Victory of ours is inevitable.. Jai shree ram har har mahadev
Even Muhammed had demolished Idols in Kaba so their followers are just doing what their Religion have asked for. So don't even try to equate the two. Anyways doesn't how much you try to defend Islamic Tyrants it will be worthless. & Supreme Court verdict on Ayodhya regarding presence of a Non Islamic Structure beneath the Mosque The Court observed that archaeological evidence from the Archaeological Survey of India shows that the Babri Masjid was constructed on a "structure", whose architecture was distinctly indigenous and non-Islamic.
Thank you for your comment! Architectural re-use predates the coming of Prophet Mohammad, it has been a fact of history since the Neolithic times and is not restricted to just one religion as I explain in the video. In most examples religion isn't even an important aspect.

Kaaba was built by Prophet Abraham(pnuh) Arabs were following monotheism up until 3rd Century AD when Amr Ibn Luhay introduced idol in Kaaba for the first time. Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) restored the Kaaba to it’s monotheistic roots by removing the idols. Hajj which was being practiced before Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) is an Abrahamic ritual was retained in Islam. Samghis who never wrote their own history are now giving propaganda on Arab history.
Thanks for making us aware about this age old practice of Architectural Re use ,that allows us to look at even the present day issues with great positivity.
You sang well and the narrative you created is nice btw i would like to understand the phycology behind concept of re-use and btw i think krishna deva rai was a person who like to have his trophies
Thank you! The psychology would be different for different cases, sometimes, as i explain in the video, it would be purely functional where you need to reuse a building for other purposes like Purana Qila as refugee camp. Other times it's political, like Krishnadeva wanting to show subjugation of power. Sometimes reuse becomes important to save on time and cost, older material/older buildings no longer in use can be used to quickly and cheaply build new buildings. In other examples reuse could also be done to appropriate legitimacy. I will bring more such examples in other videos. Do keep watching. :)
@@eyeshadowetihaaswithruchika nice btw Power was construct in my research Andrew cox has argued that its and important construct to maintain relationships.
