Yeah, attacking into a player with protection from everything and attacking into infinite blockers sure was Galaxy brain...
it was cool to see her adjust, but not galaxy brain to not just go for the mayhem devils first as she knew kiki exists anyways

The fact that two of Alana's lines were disrupted and she still managed for find a win out of it was really impressive. Congrats to Alana on the win, and congrats to Ryan for attempting to stop her
Absolutely bonkers of a game. It's rare that an infinite combo doesn't end the game on the spot, and then having TWO that don't win? Crazy. This was really fun to watch.
What a game!! Alana deserves the Big Brain award from Playing with Power because those last 2 turns were some of the best plays I’ve ever seen in cEDH
Interesting game. I think Ryan had that game in the bag if he had used the final felidar of his loop to target dockside, make treasures, then recast Rocco to get ranger captain onto the field, then simply sac ranger captain on Alana's upkeep locking her out for a turn.
This game is absolute fire.

I absolutely love Dihada as a deck, it's SO much fun. Alana played absolutely masterfully too, a victory very well earned. Those last two turns were just exceptional magic.
Wow what an ending. Plus the narration with the book quote during the scene where everyone forgot the protection was excellent

The One Ring is about to take over our game. I have played it vastly more than my opponents so far and I’ve won 5/6 games I’ve cast it

That was an insanely impressive game with god tier piloting. To be able to pivot like that without skipping a beat is incredibly difficult to do.
One player (Alana) managed to pivot but another (Ryan) didn't and lost. He could have have created another Felidor copy, flicked the planeswalker and swapped Aboliser for Ranger Captain.
Holy crap. I am absolutely not smart enough to find that final winning line. That was awesome.

get eternal witness get cathar commando back
remove signet with commando
Get Abolisher from grave into play again
get Ranger captain.
pass turn with Dihada only having 3 lands sack ranger captain in upkeep.
win next turn.
This is from me sitting here not in the game, but being calm. Sometimes these lines are just not as obvious.
That’s a line, but as you said, it’s harder when you’re in the game. Also, TOR is indestructible.

People should really be attacking and killing planeswalkers when The One Ring is cast. Definitely won me a Legacy to kill a Karn last night while my opponent (but not his permanents) had protection from everything.
You don't want to attack dihada. Killing dihada only enables the game plan and sometime putting it in the yard is terrifying
I guess that makes sense, I'd have to work out the mana cost of things to see what's the best move

This is the spiciest game of all time holy shit
I've run across this many times in pods, people always forget that infinite is not a thing in magic. Anything infinite essentially ends the game in a draw as it does not end.
"Infinite Combos" have to have a defined finite number declared. Seeing multiple infinities in this video gave me a good laugh thinking about all the people I've played who would have argued about this for hours.
Most people casually say "infinite" to mean "a large number" in the context of an MTG game, though. But of course, since it's not truly infinite, you can always pick that number plus 1 in response to their loop, or twice that number, etc.

Is there any reason the Rocco player just doesn't end their turn with podding away the Dockside with Vivien for Ranger-Captain of Eos in second main phase and completely nullify Dihada (Alana's) turn by saccing it in upkeep...?

Not to be a downer but you would only get 9 sacrifices to gargadon then it would be cast no? You wouldn’t be able to sacrifice all of the felidar’s to it.

Genuine question about Greater Gargadon being used to mass-sacrifice the 42069 Felidars. Since the card immediately casts when its final suspend counter is removed wouldn't it be a spell on the stack and therefore cannot activate its card-related ability? I personally don't quite get the result and would love to understand better how it works. Also, wow! That was a crazy game, definitely going to be adding Vivian to my Naya combos in the future!
Ryan held priority for each sacrifice so the counters weren't removed until all the Felidars had been sacrificed, which means there's no timing problems.
