It's a good tent but a bit expensive considering the materials with the ground sheet being really thin. The instructions can be confusing for the foot end, the instructions say that the foot end doesn't need guying if using the fly, if using the fly tie it to the foot end pole and stake it. I use mine all year round with a cheap bivvy bag in winter as I can't afford a better sleeping bag and without the fly in summer. The olive fly version is a wee bit cheaper than the camo. My only problem is I keep losing the bloody green pegs in grass, otherwise i love it.
Greetings from Ireland! Nice review! 👌 I have just ordered one of these! They look just the job for stealthy camps ! I like your channel! 👌 I plan to launch my own outdoor channel soon!!
Hello and nice to meet you. It's a nice little ivy tent. Would be great for stealth camping. I hope you enjoy it and have some fun. Good luck to you and have a wonderful evening my friend.
Did you try it out yet cos I just bought one but after I ordered I saw they now do an updated version which is half the weight, was a bit gutted haha but hey ho
Thanks for the video. I saw this bivy tent on amazon last night and was thinking of getting it for my boyfriend for his birthday. I couldn't decide wether to get him this one or the trekking pole tent geertop makes but I think I like the amount of room this one has.
It's still small and have some room in this tent. Either one would probably be great. I really do like mine and love that it sets up quick and easy. Have a wonderful day my friend.
Did a week long outing in one. Its awesome for fair weather consideringyou dont mind copious amounts of condensation. Storm rolled in and wet. Drip drip on my toe box all night. Sent that thing right on back. I should have made a vid. Btw im 6'4"... no room for my pack. Zipper on bug net also a bit worrisome after my 5th da straight using this thing. Imho, you'd be better off under a tarp...
Great video! I had this tent in my Amazon cart and was seeing if it is any good or not. I then deleted and clicked your link to help you out! Thx for the informative video! Do you still like the bivy tent?
I like the content. Living in SW Florida I appreciate the zippers that can open from the top. You don't want any critters wrestling their way in. I did see a plastic loop that would be handy for hanging a light or a clip on fan (comes in pretty useful) I have several tents (military, one person, two person up to four person, and three hammocks). I'm sorry to say, nothing more aggravating than shoes/boots in a tent. God bless.
I don't like having boots in a tent. It does have a loop and I would hang a light and my keys. Not a bad little tent. Have a wonderful night my friend.
I like this tent. Perfect for me and pretty light weight. It doesn't take long to setup so that will come in handy. Have a wonderful evening my friend.
Hello NonnaGrace. It's not that big and just enough room to be comfortable. Its a low profile tenet and great for hiding places. It's quick and easy to setup. I love this little ivy tent. Have a wonderful night my friend.
It is light weight and would be great for that. You could do some stealth camping in the woods. I like how it setup quick and easy. Have a wonderful afternoon my friend Pippa.
I haven't had the chance to use it as much as I wanted. I have only used it a few times and need to use it more. So far it's been great, but haven't had it in the rain yet. Have a wonderful night my friend.
Just bought this, then after I ordered it I saw an other one that was 1kg were as this is 3.5 , for £20 more so was gutted...!! But still looks a good tent though 👍
@@Catbus-Driver geertop have just done an updated version of this to, have a look on Amazon, it’s also lighter but can’t remember the exact weight but it’s half of this and just £10 more
@@Roscoe.P.Coldchain Damn! I was looking at the snugpak ionosphere but it's $250 Canadian (150£) on our version of amazon where this is only $100. Check out the OEX phoxx v2 as well. It seems to be the mid range for price/performance between the geertop and snugpak.
Would be a sweet summer tent here in New England. Fly zipper cover is on the wrong side though.
Looking at purchasing this. Your video has great info. Thanks and greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Mine is arriving tomorrow, helpful video, thanks! Subscribed. Looking forward to using mine. Cheers from Toronto.
I hope you enjoy it!

That's a pretty cool tent. I think I'm going to buy one. I need something small and light and that sounds pretty good to me. Thank you for sharing.
It's pretty light weight and would be perfect for hiking and whatever else you need it for. I'm happy with it Rocco. Have a wonderful day my friend.
@@BackroadFreedom tk brother and you to We are going to be live streaming tonight to 7:30 if you want to join.
Wish I could, but I will be working. I will at least try to watch and if not watch I will listen.
Love this tent, except the white parts.
i have this tent. it is a very low profile thing, great for stealth camps very light and tonnes more room than a bivvy bag.
I agree it's a pretty good bivy tent for that. That's some of the things I like about it. Have a wonderful day my friend.
Bonne vidéo explicative, merci !

How are you finding the new camera is working out
Yes it's working out. I just haven't been using it a lot right now. I will continue to use it and more often. I still like the camera.

Hoorah
In EU amazon it costs around 90 EUR. Just a heads up
That doesn't look too big or too heavy for a wild camp. Once and cosy!
It is light weight and would be great for that. You could do some stealth camping in the woods. I like how it setup quick and easy. Have a wonderful afternoon my friend Pippa.
I love it but it's abit big im 6.2 ft and love smallest possible reason i love it is camouflage and airflow
I have plenty of room above my head and yes if you get good airflow. I like it and have a wonderful evening my friend.
@@BackroadFreedom not too big and high? And thank you
I don't think it's that big or too high. I think it's just right.
I was wondering how you got in to that lol. It's like a deluxe roomy coffin 🤣🤣
LOL you crack me up Pippa. Yes it looks like that.
Interesting tent, how has it been after some use?
Stop in some time👍

Great video...you mentioned a coupon?
Sorry I dont have a coupon. I have a link in the description to Amazon where I purchased it. Have a wonderful day my friend.
Cool video! Could you recommend the tent for cold weather periods?
Yes, I have used it in 23F and it did good. Of course bring a warm sleeping bag still. Have a wonderful day my friend.

have you had any issues with it ? im thinking about buying one :)
So far I haven't, but still would like to test it out in the rain.

@@BackroadFreedom do you have any videos for first timers ? what to bring food wise and stuff like that ?
Camo rain fly but the tent is white. Smh.
It’s called a vestibule
It leaks.
4 lbs for a bivy tent? A little heavy for a one person. My two person weighs that.
It leaks.
