For those who don't know what a P-plate is, it means "provisional driver". You get your red Ps after your Ls for one year and then you get your green Ps for three years. After this, you obtain your full license and are now irritated by anything with an "L" or "P" on it.
here in the NT you get to hold your P plate for a year if youre above 25 yrs old and if you dont have any violations by then you get a free 10 year full license
The UK has them too, but they're completely optional apart from I think in NI where they're compulsory for a year after passing. You'll see a handful of cars with P Plates but I think most people who do put them on, which is a pretty small minority already, ditch them after a couple of months because it really makes no difference or even makes drivers less patient around you.
I had a friend of mine from school that wore one of those caps and the teachers weren't happy with the fact it said **** on it. Yeah but it was quite peculiar to see them wear that hat. Edit: Still in high school with them.

Not to forget, drive in peak hour traffic but pick fights with absolutely everyone els on the road coz you're running late for something VERY important, accelerate as fast as possible, brake as late as possible, change lanes as early or late, depending on how close you can cut in on the vehicles in every lane imaginable. You might get to your destination a few seconds sooner than not risking a heart attack or brain meltdown

Full Licence is just a normal driver, and now you hate non-full licence drivers, congratulations! :)
