I agree with your assessment of Stanton. He's had some rough times with NYY due to injuries, but people seem to forget that he hit 59 HRs and snagged NLMVP in 2017 with MIA
Good point when it came to Ohtani, after the first game vs SD they did whatever they could to keep the bottom of the Dodgers order from getting on base because Ohtani is like 12-15 with RISP since mid September. They kept throwing Tanner Scott whenever Ohtani was up to bat late in the game. Mets only lefty that comes to mind in their BP is David Peterson and I don't think his stuff plays like Tanner Scott. Ohtani is actually 2-7 with an RBI vs Peterson. Padres did a good job eliminating Ohtani by throwing all their BP lefties at him like Matsui, Morejon, Peralta, and Scott. Mets don't have that much lefty BP depth to eliminate Ohtani, he is also due for a big series now. Dodgers win if they get to their starters, especially Sean Manaea, he has a career 7.09 ERA vs Dodgers. It's going to be a good series regardless!

I don't pay much attention to the AL side, so I'll comment more on the NL side. I feel like the Mets strike out a lot and they like to chase, compared to the Padres that's why they punished the Dodgers starting pitching early on in the series, and that's why I believe Yoshi and Flaherty will have a big impact on the Mets series. Offensive wise the Dodgers will probably punish the Mets tbh, this ain't the Padres great pitching anymore, so they will probably heat up. The Mets are lucky and the Dodgers will likely end their run in 5 games or even a sweep. The Phillies were struggling in the second half, and the Brewers were just there and they kinda choked vs the Mets, that's why I feel like they got lucky on their run.
