This is just another one of Elton's songs that rips your heart out. I'm so glad that I lived in the era that I was able to hear Elton's music. And, I was never aware of "The Way You Look Tonight" until recently. I don't know how I missed the one.

What I really like about "Circle of Life" is that the version at the start of the movie is more energetic, and in a higher key, like life is beginning. With the lower pitch and slower tempo, this feels like reflecting on the life of a loved one after they've passed, coming full Circle.

My older brother died on February 19th, 2023 (very recent). This song reminds me so much of our traditional brother, sister, and mom visits at our local zoo in NYC. Whenever the three of us go to the zoo, we listen to this song the whole way there on repeat and then when we are done visiting all of the exhibits, we then listen to this song all the way back home. This year is a lot different now that he is gone from his unexpected skiing accident. I hope to one day share this same tradition when I find the right husband and our children will carry on this tradition. But for right now, I will carry on my brothers legacy by doing this tradition with his friends from college and meeting up at the zoo while listening to this song until I finally find that Mr. Right for myself.
