The Pittsburg Pennsylvania company Lilliput Play Homes creates custom designed play houses that can cost as much as your car and may even rival your apartment. The gorgeous mini homes have windows, electricity, if you want even running water. Laaadeeedaaa. But seriously I think I want to live in one of these.

I agree with the beginning, that too many children are tied to electronics instead of playing outside as we did as children. These playhouses are beautiful, and my grandchildren would love to have one. But let's be honest, the average person cannot afford this. Lovely idea.....make it affordable and I'm in.

I think it's really caring to think about the little things like the smol beans getting their fingers stuck in the door, and they're figuring out ways to fix that.
Saw a kid in elementary school almost lose her finger from that, as a parent one of my kids almost did that to the little one. Gives peace of mind to know they can't with these doors

I love it so much. Back in 1946 when I was born my dad wrote my mother a note to her promising to make me a playhouse but he never had the time or the money. Can I be little again and get one of these. These are the best that I’ve ever seen. Good job people.
I used fridge and washing machine cardboard boxes to make playhouses for my kids and put them in the living room together with some chairs which were the only furnitures we had. They played and read and sang and ate and drank and fell asleep in them on the big cushions given by someone. Those happy memories, not something money can buy or someone can make. I'm going to do the same when I have grandchildren one day.

I heard about some people have these little house made to be actual little homes. They have insulation, water, electricity, heat and air. Things worked. I love that idea. It's cool.

It took my dad 2 years to build our “playhouse”, it’s about the size of a medium sized bedroom and is kinda like a tree house except.. there’s no trees. It’s about 8 ft. off the ground and has stairs that lead to a small porch.

You know play is so much more than looking at a device. I’m only in my first year of high school but I remember when I would play with my dolls or would play a game of “house” with my friends at school. And yeah no duh we had electronics, but even when I was young the idea of “play” was so rich and fun and immersive! I remember the feeling of my imagination running wild and I could see the world I was playing in come alive! I remember how much fun I had in preschool playing with my friends in the sand and I remember the small little thrill you would get when a swing lifted you high up in the air and you felt free! I can recall how peaceful I felt while playing. And role playing, oh guys no joke role playing was the BEST! However these days as much as technology can be so useful and helpful and necessary, but a good childhood is incredibly important. I hate sounding like an old cranky person, but it’s not technically the kids fault it’s more or less their parent. Parents are relying on technology to entertain their children instead of playing with their children. I don’t really want to imagine what childhood play is like within just the next few generations. And even today infants are exposed to technology that entertains them. When you just leave a child with their imagination and a place to play it’s so easy for them to play and learn.
I ran across one of these play houses a few years ago at a home I was doing some general contracting on. They’re just as incredible in person.

Kids use to play outside and use their imagination.
Well, he spent 6 weeks in a garage with hammer and nail back then too.
Now parents or grandparents complain phones tv and video games are used as a electronic baby setter and get tired of them always using it.
But then shows us his design and blueprints not drawn by hand on paper with drafting tools or carefully laid out measurements that took time and patience.
Most likely used Auto Cad and let the computer do all the work and threw this together in less than 4 hours all together.
It’s not just the kids who use technology to occupy them.
They do use they’re imagination, it’s what video games are about. Immersion. You get to be and play that dream in real life dressed and ready in that time period ready to go…
Just like his Blueprint for that mansion drawn out on a app or software.
Still, he was able to use his imagination .
And put together this gorgeous gift.
I wana buy one of the bigger ones for my kids and throw a Xbox in it and let em call it home lol.
String up some LED lights on an extension cord or use the ones with batteries.
Get a mini fridge .
Tv Xbox and Bluetooth speaker.
Blanket and pillows.
Let em Camo outside for the night.
If the house I’m thinking of was built and available.
But man that would be so cool.
And ironically…. Getting a house for kids would literally be getting them outside lol.
Because you know they’d be in and out in and out.
