it is amazing the amount of BS people tell themselves to feel good about their own misery, about their pain and, of course, they also tell those thing to themselves in order to justify their actions. and the question to ask is, if this is so damn special and wonderful why do they need to tell themselves all that BS in order to feel good about it?
Around the same age I was told that animals had no soul. That sent me on a path of questioning everything I was told. At 14 I decided to never bring another human being into this world.
Selfish is bringing a being into a world you at least *should* know is a hell hole and a perpetual fight to survive. All because people are brainwashed to think that's what they *must* do or simply to have a little, convenient friend. Speaking pragmatically, the child doesn't have a vote in the matter. Then at an arbitrary age (18, usually, unless the kid is kicked out beforehand) the child who didn't even ask to be in this nightmare slave ship is expected to, all of a sudden, find a way to support *himself* (herself, etc.) under extreme parental and societal pressures. Maybe if there were a better system it might be ok. Like a pre-birth talk to the pre-born spirit, if that were possible (I'm going far out here, I know, but it's a rather extreme situation, in my opinion). Part of the screening could be *honesty* about the world they're entering. Maybe casually mention the fact that Earth is crawling with demonic evil like cockroaches (and mention the literal cockroaches while they're at it). Or just the psychopaths. I'm not about the supposed overpopulation, just fairness for those coming into the world (or *not* if the child could decide).

Hi Theresa, just wanted to point out it isn't only writers and philosophers who have similar thoughts. Many Hollywood celebrities and other famous people have preferred adoption to giving birth.
Celebrity only adopt as they don’t want to ruin their bodies and a lot like to Harvest certain energy, like black children. Celebrities are devils that have their own agenda

how not creating another human would make a person selfish?. makes no sense simply because no one exist. no one exist that is having needs and desires that you are refusing to fulfill. that is basically their argument, you refusing to share your resources but, it is simply illogical because, no one exist. creating a human, a human that will require care and sustenance just so they can play the good samaritan role and call themselves heroes. that is beyond evil.
You're different than the other antinatalists I heard speak. The majority were either opposed to increasing the human population due to misanthropy and fear of climate change and those who didn't want to have children to have a more independent lifestyle (the second group are mostly not antinatalist, plenty of "childfree" by choice and "DINKS" are in favor of other people having children, they just don't want to have children of their own, but some are antinatalist). You're also the first antinatalist I heard speak who wants to adopt.

There are many babies born out of wedlock, therefore it is safe to say that heaven had nothing to do with those conceptions due to the fact that fornicators have no place in heaven.
