It's interesting when you go onto the profile of most of these trolls. They have either posted a couple of videos some years ago on TH-cam and given up as it's too much work for them or they haven't ever contributed to the TH-cam community. I'm all for constructive comments (how else can we learn) but the haters contribute nothing.
I think it looks great! I’ve looked into several other similar products, put the cost out of reach. Thanks for the video & product information. Don’t let the haters keep you from sharing your alternative and budget friendly ideas.
My home is 100 years old. I have been calculating and experimenting with various siding themes. I have had stone or brick in mind from the start. I have a definite design now. Thank you. This product fits my budget and seems within my abilities to install. My home is rather simple in design in comparison with yours. The wood 4"T1-11 4×8 siding installed horizontally with this Faux TandoStone panel as a base will bring my old home to life. Simple trim and a panel separator mold will be very nice. You have helped me greatly with your posting. Thank you very much. C/O in Oklahoma
You should have showed us how you used the tap gun concrete screws.Did you cut out panels first and laid it over the area and mark out where the screw has to go? Or did you just drill over panel into concrete and came back to insert the screw. Please, teach me how you did it. I love the outcome of your work.
I've been thinking about doing this to a few of my exterior walls of my house, for looks and for a little bit of extra R value with insulation on top of my wood siding. Good job.
Quick question, not necessarily relating to this project, but what paint color is your house and the trim around? Its very appealing to the eye, and the faux block brings it all together.
Late to the video but thank you. I want to do the same to my house to add character, but im not sure if it would look right. I have brick and it would protrude out.
Glad I ran across your channel... I was wondering how I can get that stone look around the lower part of my house now I see. Thanks for sharing your video also I think it turned out nice
omg this looks so good. The caulking with the paint turned out nice. You couldnt even tell. How did you apply the panels into the stucco? We have a stucco home as well here in florida. Did you drill into the stucco?
@@twHomeShow are the screws painted also?..Tapcons are usually blue...,Filler then paint?🤔fiberglass resin can work pretty well unless its a type of foam board, hope its not foam....condensation between stucco and foam board products with lil to no air gap makes for huge issues like mold, mildew etc
Maybe. But the value is more with real stone not only because the strength but the time and labor and of course the cost. Great job looks great. Beautiful home
This is great and all, but where did you show the way that you stuck them to the wall? Isn't this a howto install? You mentioned adhesive multiple times but I didn't catch watch you used or how. Just a video about cutting to size.
Mike, You're absolutely right, I "F'd-Up". I originally tried the adhesive that was recommended for these panels and the panels just slid-right off! So I really recommend using screws...in my case concrete screws. You have to drill the hole and screw in the screws - WORKS GREAT and FAST! Look for my other video where I applied this same stone panel....HERE'S A BETTER VIDEO: th-cam.com/video/pNFS_1Ur94k/w-d-xo.html
@@twHomeShow Awesome, thanks for the link I'll check it out. I've seen other people use screws, but I was wondering if that is the typical or recommended way to install them, and if they look concave or weird if you don't screw them in just right. And the biggest thing on my mind was, how do you deal with the exposed screw? Cover and paint it? leave it because they blend right in from a distance? How did you go about dealing with them? Thanks again.
@@mikeakaspike I just dabbed them with the touch-up/blending paint that you are supposed to purchase with your stone panels :) Check-out my other video, with the columns I did and you will see how it turns out. Thanks for your comments! Todd
Looks great. You did a great job. As far as expense....wow. it adds up quick once you add any element of height.... i.e. You're likely 8 ft to the soffet level. that would require 4x the panels for the same LF. Plus, trim and outlet accessories. i think that why we only see this faux stone used as accent pieces and not as much on full walls. My project is 60 ft long by 9 feet high. It will be over $10k for the project. Stucco and paint would be less than $1k....
Hello Scott, I'm near Tampa, FL. I've installed these panels on outdoor patio beams, indoor entertainment walls, and kitchen bar. All my videos can be seen on my channel page. Thanks for watching. -Todd
You did a nice job. I feel like its incomplete without doing behind the hoses and filters. But it's not my house lol. Much cheaper than real stone and hiring a contractor. I'm betting you learned a couple tricks that will make finishing all the way around the house a breeze. Maybe leave out the clay colored touch up, or lighten it up with some of the cream color, it seems to be too dark for that type. But nice job, hoping mine makes our house curb appeal better. Youve got a beautiful house. P.s. your garage is WAY too clean.

Thanks! I just bought a pack of tapered-head blue tapcon screws from Home Depot and used the included concrete drill bit and screwed them in. They will countersink themselves into the stone-boards.
Hello, I tried the adhesive they recommended (even bought the special applicator gun) but the panels would just slide and fall down. The glue sucks!! I used a few blue tapcon screws about 2" long with philips head. Pre-drilled with concrete bit because I was going through stucco and block. That method went very good and quick!
@@twHomeShow Thank you, for explaining that. It would have been nice to see the application process to complete the video. Any behind the scenes footage that shows the application process?
For what little you did, why didn't you invest in a couple or 3 corner pieces. Not that bad of a job, but it would have looked allot better. Also an old vinyl table cloth would work good to use to place on the ground to hold your various paints. An you can also use an old cookie pan to place your paints in (again) to stop spilling on our your concrete.

This is a project I could tackle to add 'flair' to our house
That turned out beautiful
What type of saw blade did you use and did you pre drill the holes before installing the screws?
Standard circular saw blade for wood. Yes, I pre-drilled holes through the product and into the stucco-block with a concrete bit.
Excellent job with a great visual improvement to your beautiful home.Great job on filling and touch up job as well.
You didn't show how to put it on the wall. Was the wall concrete? If so did you use tapcon screws?
Hi Bill. Yes. The wall was stucco/concrete and I used tapcon screws and just touched up the screw-heads with the touch-up paint. - Todd
I’m curious if you had to trim off the top ship-lap edge to fit under the moulding on the house.

What is the name/style of your specific panel you purchased?
Very helpful! However, I was really looking for how to attach the panels to the wall. I'll continue to search your videos. Ty

Where did u get these panels . It's beautiful u did a wonderful job 👏
Why is the rest of the siding made of? Is it really cement? Is it some sort of smooth finish stucco, or something else?
What did you use for flashing underneath the molding? Or did you just caulk it?
I just caulked to keep the moisture from gathering behind.
I don't see the link I'm trying to get the stone look dirt cheap please send me a link asap
If I want to cement stone directly to a brick exterior wall, do I need any moisture barrier between the stone and brick?
No!!
yeah you dont have a link where to buy the panels.
How do u attach it to the wall?
tapcon screws
Could you please tell me how you attached these panels to the wall? Did you just screw them in? Did you use any type of glue?
The recommended glue didn't work for me so I drilled holes and attached with concrete screws.
What is the rest of your home made of? Is this cement, stucco, or something else?
It's stucco.
