I've made and purchased a bunch of different helping hands. My current favorite is 2 alligator clips held parallel an inch apart with a u-shaped piece of solid 10awg wire. No drooping helping hands arms to worry about. I can't get a magnet to attach to it though. The ifixit looks like it would be a more solid and properly magnetted (I don't care that's not a word) version of the same thing.

Does anyone produce a power strip with a ground attachment for wrist straps?

There's a product that converts a grounded outlet to a banana plug socket (I think iFixit carries them). You can pull out the alligator clip on most grounding straps and it will have a banana plug on the end.
Might be a good idea to get an extension cable, a nice long wire with stacking banana plugs at the ends.
