They thought they'd be cool to take control of Warsaw with most of German forces already gone and couldn't even do that.
@@dsadsa726 You do realize that the Home Army was operational for the entirety of the war, not just during the Warsaw Uprising? I suggest you read about Operation Tempest, during which the Home Army was a major help for the USSR, taking out German supply lines and even liberating entire cities.
I mean they attacked German armour on horse back. That's some balls.
@@dsadsa726 so the partisans that risked their lives to ruin German supply lines and logistical trains that if operational would have only drawn the war on longer and lead to more deaths didn’t do shit? How about holding down German reserves that would have otherwise been sent to the frontlines? How about the people being persecuted by the Germans that were saved by said partisans? Every contribution to the war effort has an effect, from the men on the front, to those back home sending their scrap metal off to be made into war materials.

I understand fully that although the Polish government in exile made some horrible decisions (eg. not accepting the German help or ordering to not fight with the Soviets in spite of their aggression) not listening to direct orders (which was not to start an uprising) should be a disgrace and the so called heroes of the modern day propaganda should be considered the biggest villains in this part of Polish history as instead of fighting for a better future of Poland they were wasting the lives of young patriotic people which could’ve helped a lot in the times to come
they were hoping to prevent the 50 years of Soviet occupation and what German help do you speak of.

Isn't it a war crime to kill pilots that have abandoned and parachuted from their crashing planes?
It was for the Resistance
Realistically people would capture them because everyone else during the war seemed to have time for it and of course needed Intel
it's at least a warcrime to shoot people while parachuting and when he actually surrenders after being downed too. But if he tries to fight he is still a combattant, so the situation could be both :D should've let him shoot one of you just to be safe ;)
