    During a cold February evening in 2016, a bewildering incident would transpire on the outskirts of Cardiff, which would in time go on to become known as the ‘Welsh Roswell Incident’. Did the British military genuinely ambush a UFO in the Welsh valleys, or was this instead a misunderstanding of more earthly events? Join us, as we delve into the Mysterious Pentyrch Incident.

    The fun thing about stories involving the Military is that you can genuinely never be sure if they are covering up for legitimate reasons of National Security, to prevent embarrassment of some kind, hide incompetence, to prevent panic, to protect missions and/or tactics from enemy intelligence, or they just want people to think something for whatever reasons. This makes almost any such story perfect fodder for conspiracy and mystery. So long as we have "Military Intelligence," we can be sure that this channel will have good content!

    I'm a pilot based at Cardiff international, right next to St Athan. We use J36 of the M4 on the way out of the controlled airspace surrounding the airport for VFR flight and you have a very good view of Pentyrch/Smaelog woods as you overfly J36. I can't imagine a military exercise taking place underneath the CTR there, you are literally a few minutes from an international airport and are still within the boundaries of the control area around the airport, not to mention the high urban concentration. Pilots who visit Cardiff often comment on how liberating it is to fly in Wales, west of Cardiff. If you look at a CAA 1:500000 map of Wales and South of England you can see that we have a tonne of unrestricted class G airspace, lots of which is used for military exercises as is made evident by the NOTAMs mentioned in this video. To carry out a training mission at short notice within the controlled airspace near the international airport doesn't make much sense to me!

      That`s because it sounds like it was a real UFO and like always the military use the excuse "military exercise" to cover up. If it sounds too good to be true, it often is.

    Oh my God I saw this! I'm from Creigiau and my friends and I had gone for a late evening jaunt up to Creigiau quarry which meets the fields on the border of Creigiau and Pentyrch. We were on the lower shelf of the quarry so about 100ft below the fields above where these lights were and I remember thinking must be a police chopper looking for someone, not uncommon to see around there, but also being a bit of an aviation nerd it struck me that the configuration of the lights made no sense and were unlike any I'd ever seen on a helicopter. The other thing is that though it was clearly airborne, there was absolutely no noise. As strange as that is I rationalised that it must have been a trick of the sound waves missing us because we were far below in the bowl of the quarry, I assumed it was some strange trick of physics. But then things got weirder naturally the 4 of us were staring at these lights, confused and a bit unnerved by this object that we couldn't figure out, when the lights which had been in a straight row began to move away from each other, floating in circular patterns as more lights appeared and others disappeared, some turning green, then turning red again. Again, we questioned whether it was just our eyes playing tricks on us in the dark but we were all seeing the same thing. Finally the lights realigned before slowly moving off out sight, across the lip of the quarry and out of sight. Moments later a low flying jet passed right above the spot and we noticed a number of helicopters in the area as we made our way back home. For a weeks after you'd often see Chinooks flying low in formation over the village, which again isn't unusual due to St Athen being nearby. Either way the entire thing was very weird and to this day I've never fully been able to explain what we saw that night and why, if it was a helicopter, we couldn't hear it - Chinooks are notoriously loud.

    I remember this event back in 2016 as I live not far from the area. Indeed it was covered by local media, both online & printed. Natural resources Wales cut down a lot of trees damaged during this incident claiming they were diseased, but still left the stumps there. Military resources were still in the area for some time after the event. Also military aircraft departed R.A.F. Northolt and landed at R.A.F St Athan in the hours afterwards. It is believed and looks like another Black Ops search & recovery operation, as the R.V. Point is made known to the military some time beforehand. These operations normally take place, out of the way, further north in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Why did it take place so close to a populated area is anyone’s guess.

    • @zach11241
      @zach11241 2 ปีที่แล้ว +76

      Not terribly hard if you know your aircraft. I can pick out Apache’s really easily at night (I used to live near a military base and always watched them flying at night). The aircraft are a bit harder, but not impossible. Could be him “guesstimating” too. If you see a huge cargo plane running red lights (or no lights) you can assume it probably military and you can rule out small planes like fighters. It’s difficult, but if you’ve seen enough of them (or even just know your local military planes) you can usually make a pretty reasonable educated guess.

      @@zach11241 But that illustrates my point. You can sometimes make them out when they're low to the ground. However, an E-3 Sentry isn't a very maneuverable aircraft with that large radome and doesn't spend much time low to the ground except when it is landing and taking off. Why would it be low enough to the ground that it's silhouette could be made out by an untrained observer at night, maneuvering aggressively as if it were searching for something on the ground? This is the exact opposite flight profile that it is designed to perform. And the fact that a large number of military aircraft were seen in the preceding days does, in fact, indicate that some sort of pre-planned military maneuver was being conducted. While Operation Chameleon occurred the week before and in the north, moving large military units takes time and these units could have been flying out through Wales even up to several weeks after the training operation had ended.

    • @genxer1
      @genxer1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      @@peteranderson037 I thought that sounded strange as well. Why would large, unarmed, not very maneuverable transport aircraft be flying in an aggressive manner trying to 'hem' in an unidentified craft like interceptors, a task they are wholly unsuited for? Then try and chase something down? Like you said, why would a very expensive AWACS plane that normally cruises at around 10,000 feet be that low, hunting for something on the ground? They fly high and look for things then direct other, more suitable aircraft to intercept.

    Everything about this feels like a military exercise, albeit likely more of a top secret one, hence the late NOTAM, the larger no fly radius, the Prime Minister visiting that area on the same day, the lack of any conclusive video or photo evidence well into the age of the smartphone, and the hours in which it happened. There are more photos and videos of the Pheonix Lights and that took place before cellphones had cameras, let alone being smartphones. When video cameras still used tapes, and most cameras still used film.

    • @genericpersonx333

      Indeed, but it is a fun story all the same. People love thinking the Military's predilection for secrecy is proof of conspiracy and malicious intent, and I think there is value in people making up silly stories about the Military, because it helps confound enemy intelligence gathering. Even in WW2, people would dangle funny lights off balloons or tie noise-makers to wild animals, just to cause a little mayhem. Personally, I am hard-pressed to think of a better way to flood an enemy intelligence service with useless data than to get a bunch of civilians around to scream at the local police about funny lights in the sky.

      But no video evidence proves nothing either way. No one's in any doubt that people witnessed a significant military event that would have involved lots of aircraft and lights. And yet no footage of this dramatic event exists. So it's a puzzle why no one thought to film this drama regardless of whether it was a preplanned exercise or not. Maybe the footage just didn't make it to the web, or maybe it was forcefully removed. Either way, lack of any pictorial evidence tells us nothing about what sort of event it was.

    Former Army Reservist: Little detail to query in the accounts relating to the "soldiers moving about with weapons on display".
    Outside of Majorly pre-planned, on range exercises, you would expect soldiers in the Army to be using blanks.
    You would expect the blank firing attachment [basically a muzzle attached bright yellow cage designed to protect from blank discharge and accidental live fire] to be fitted to the rifles carried by the infantry involved.
    These aren't subtle, they would be apparent as the only flashes of yellow on a soldiers person. Even an untrained civvy would spot them. At night with back light they reflect light really well [but not Day-Glo- more like hazard yellow].

Extremely well-presented with detailed witness accounts, and even physical evidence, it holds the viewer's attention from first to last, and simply has the ring of truth to it.
    This was quite simply a genuine UFO incident that the authorities are still desperately trying to cover up to this day.

It's pretty much always been "cursed" to non natives with massacres and countless, very mysterious, deaths and murders and disappearances. Vortexes/portals, headless bodies w/heads(cut off) found miles away in caves/crevasses, mystery snipers and murderers, ghosts, gods, cryptids... There's even supposedly a remaining group of Apaches said to violently protect the areas massive amount of hidden gold. Despite the beauty, popularity and being a state park, people still die there regularly. Quite a history.

    As former US Navy, I can easily accept that this is a rather hasty emergency preparedness deployment exercise. Much of the fact present align well with standard exercise protocols, at least insofar as they would have been in the 1990s, and I see no reason to doubt that they are still quite similar now. The one thing that is of concern is the denial of the explosion, despite seismological data. Best guess here is something unplanned or perhaps some sort of training accident which the military would prefer not to readily acknowledge. There are many operations that have happened in which personnel involved are given orders not to speak for reasons of nation security. This also explains the misinformation campaign with claims of either a fracking survey or cell phone employees. One piece of information that isn't given is the general state of those who reported the incident. Yes, a training exercise of this magnitude would be quite shocking, but I can't help but wonder if any of the witnesses had been heavily drinking prior to the event, and that information sounds like it is being repressed by the witnesses themselves. Truthfully, there isn't enough information to draw a definitive conclusion, but I think that the military exercise is the explanation that best fits the facts as they have been presented here.

      E3-centry has jamming capability and it has been documented that UFOs disrupt human technology in their vicinity including electronics. They even have the ability for mind control or affect human perception making people not think to do it. Renowned investigative journalist Ross Caulthart refers to this ability of UFOs as psychotronic weaponry and has been documented by the Pentagon. Caz Clarke and others did attempt to video the craft and they did get video of other evidence such as the broken tress and the bald patch as well as how radiation in the area affected her.

    • @useradmin6402
      @useradmin6402 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Steven Van Niman if you would have seen my previous statements that's not the only possible explanation. Phones being network devices can also be hacked for surveillance or manipulation by the military. There were also other planes in the area, which according to the researchers were known to have top secret equipment onboard. Also historically it is well known electronic equipment has been disabled at a distance by UFOs, such as cars stalling, instrumentation in pursuing aircraft malfunctioning and even nuclear missiles being mysteriously put offline when UFOs are in the vicinity. These effects from the UFOs may be either deliberate or a result of their underlying technology giving off some kind of field. The witnesses said their phones were drained in other more serious earlier presentations they gave themselves. This is totally feasible given the well documented effects of UFOs. So if you want to dispute what they say you really have no grounds to do so.

    In Feb 2016 every man and his dog had a cell phone/iPhone with a decent camera; even homeless people had one.
    And yet, throughout all of this extraordinary event, not one piece of footage exists? Come on.
    It was stated here that locals walked towards a potential crash site in nearby Llantrisant Forest looking for evidence. They found flattened trees.
    Wouldn't the military have sealed off public access to the area, or at the very least have posted a handful of personnel to the impact zone?
    I very much believe in off-planet visitors, whether 'aliens' or archons, but the lack of video evidence is troublesome to me.

    Could easily have been some sorta new top secret drone or other aircraft that crashed. The military would then go out to secure it and act as if nothing out of the normal occurred. The only issue with this theory is why would they fly a top secret aircraft in a residential area? If it was a drone it could be possible that the drones autonomous system glitched and made it go off course, but who knows.
