    its a mix of the 787's GEnx, A350's Trent XWB, and 777's GE90!

    So smooth and quiet! Good old Rolls Royce. And those Trent's burn @ 1,000 lbs per hour less fuel than the other engine options on the old 330 series.

    The shape looks like Trent 800 engine , the sound like 787 Trent 1000 , yet there is a lot of improvement on its trademark spooling sound of Rolls Royce engine. Nice video from KUL airport to the air ! Bravo !

    It LITERALLY sounds like a 787 with Rolls Royce Engines. I have seen another video, I forgot who it was but the 787 takeoff he recorded sounded EXACTLY the same as this. Ik this thing is capable of a roar.

    We didn’t see the engine’s full potential in this video. This takeoff was derated (lower thrust), therefore no roar. Great job filming though!

    See how the larger engine requires mounting higher than the wing? The Trent 700's were lower.

  • @thomasmackenzie8766
    @thomasmackenzie8766 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Someone tell me, why is it that at some point at 4:30 the engine power was lowered to a very minimal percentage, then after some moments again it started gaining power ? Is it a tactic of countering some wind or what ? Or maybe a technique of piloting ?

    • @FueltoNoiseGenerator
      @FueltoNoiseGenerator  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Could be that they reached the flight level up to which they got cleared to. So they leveled off slightly and reduced the thrust accordingly until they got the clearance for a higher flight level.
      Just an educated guess. Anyone, feel free to comment ;)

      It’s actually a better engine which has taken all the best of the last 4 Trent engines. This engine has a long life ahead of it.

  • @jeffersonelias7447
    @jeffersonelias7447 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why does it take longer sometimes for the pilot to reduce power on takeoff? This one took a long time..

    • @FueltoNoiseGenerator
      @FueltoNoiseGenerator  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it is just a matter of how much thrust is needed for a specific phase of the flight. Here the flight was very short and the seat load was fairly empty. Hence, the aircraft was very light and there was not much power needed in the first place. So the reduction after the initial climb was also smaller.

    • @jeffersonelias7447
      @jeffersonelias7447 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FueltoNoiseGenerator thanks! It's not much about how much reduction but the timing. It felt a lot longer than normal. I was just watching another take off before this one and it took about a minute before it was reduced as for this one, it took almost 5minutes. So I was intrigued and wanted to understand better.
      I've been on board a few flights myself and never experienced such delay.
      Appreciate your reply. Great video!

    • @pilerks1
      @pilerks1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @UA90/ILPilot Archive Everyone says the 737max is a broken design because it cant fit oversized engines. Well, neither can the a330neo and for that matter neither can the 773er. But neither of those planes (so far) have software issues or crashes because of it. The max isnt a broken design, its just rushed work.

    • @bagofchippies3209

      It’s a NEO. I can tell by the winglets and the size of engine. This does not sound like an A330-300. This is a derated takeoff so the engine doesn’t really have a roar but when it has more power, it will create a roar. Check the registration of this aircraft it’s provided.
