Correct but is what is happening in Ukraine a genocide? Were and are almost all European countries united in support for Ukraine? Is the same happening in relation to Gaza where far more people are being killed and much more horrifically? I'm by no means saying any death regardless of nationality is different but you get my point

Comparing Gaza related votes on religious grounds is wrong. It's like saying UK and Northern Ireland issue was Catholic versus Protestants. Gaza is voters taken their opinion on UK'S ballot box on UK'S foreign policy, aid and how UK supports allies and other countries. Voting in this way is democratic and aligned with British values. Nothing to do with Islam or being Muslim.
There is a rich history in UK of protests ranging from the Suffragettes to Coal workers and everything in between and beyond. Protesting in a peaceful way is being British.
Btw I'm a British born Muslim. I am British and feel British. Why some racists expect me to leave my country for holding my views and supporting issues that matter to me like stopping innocent children being killed is just ridiculous.
I can also talk on multiple other issues such as cost of living crisis and NHS etc. which matter if you're wondering.
Islamophobia is becoming fashionable and this is dangerous. It suits certain aspects of politics, media and society to have a "bad guy" to blame to hide the truth and real issues around what is wrong with this country I've grown up in, am very much part of and love.

Because they are literally witnessing their families being slaughtered in Gaza. People have family ties to the Palestinians in Gaza. For muslims it is especially heartbreaking, to see the people in the holy land being slaughtered.
There is no point in arguing over, which of these two conflicts is worse than the other. But caring for one people, does not invalidate the solidarity for another people. 'Whataboutism' has no place in this discussion. Of course we care for our brothers and sisters in Islam very dearly, because we see ourselves as united in faith. Family members care for each other the most, but that does not mean that the people in Ukraine are none of our business. They too deserve to be free and their killing should stop too. That should be self evident

When you say British Muslims, they are not British people who follow Islam. They are people who came to the UK from Islamic countries and their decendents.
If they value Islam and their tradition so much, why didn't they go to rich Islamic countries like UAE, Qatar, Saudi or Oman instead of coming to western countries and complain.

I am someone who has profound respect and love for Islam, but has remained an Orthodox Christian [Russian Orthodox but not able now to go to church by order of the ''PTB''!]
I am working to become an authentic human being who is not there yet...
I feel that to support, either actively or passively, genocide and the atrocities going on in Gaza [and the Occupied West Bank, and elsewhere] now and for the last 80 years is incompatible with basic humanity, 'do as you you would be done by,' as taught by all religions, cultures and by humanists and atheists too.
I cannot believe that this beautiful country is turning away from facing what is happening to our human brothers and sisters in Gaza, who suffer terrible violence, humiliation, torture, starvation....yet, in their courage, resilience and deep faith, teach us how to live.
I'm voting for the Workers' Party of Britain. If they are not standing in your area, Green or an Independent [with our values]. We need to vote. We need to show 'Starver' he doesn't speak for everyone.

After I voted, the news caster at BBC said he had been to see Thatcher!! So , he sought her approval !! Never voted Labour since. When Jeremy Corbyn became leader, I thought, there's hope yet. I am not living in the UK, so I wont have to live with the consequences. S take my advice with a big grain of salt:
I personally would vote for independent candidates, because when these independents get enough votes, labour (nor anyone else) wont be able to ignore them. This could mean that the other parties might adopt policies that align with the independents, as to appeal to the independent voters. This is ultimately good, since now there are two parties that have 'good policies' and either one will implement it in the government. This is how I prefer to use my vote. Vote for the smaller and independent candidates/parties (if they align with my views enough) to signal the current parties, that their negligence of their voter base has been noticed. This will either force them to adapt or loose votes for not doing good politics/ not listening to their voters.

My vote is about a government put it's Citizens first, not funding overseas wars. Do something about them boats and train your own citizens and the youth for skilled jobs! Scrap the student fees, cut the cost of living, make work pay! Green Party talks sense, independent and so does workers pary. Just because Muslims turned away from labour its not all because of cease fire but overall other things too that matters. Not all Muslim's opinions are the same.

Hey guy's, Hey fellow human beings, Hey world, the first thing before any religion card comes into play is that we all need to have compassion for all human beings regardless of what colour, religion or geographical location they are from, thats what is supposed to be known as humanity. Secondly nearly all religions ask of us to be kind and compassionate towards fellow human beings regardless of their religion or colour. One example is the Iraq war where over a million people we killed under the pretence that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction it eventually transpired that the evidence was totally fabricated. The people who didn't agree with the the murder of the 100s of thousands of innocent people were being labelled as going against British values come on guy's wake up to the reality, we shouldn't accept injustice such as this regardless of whomever they are, and let's stop attacking muslims for showing compassion, and when they do we label them going against British values. What are British values??? Turning a blind eye to the atrocities that are taking place around the world and being supported by our government.
Humanity first because if you have no humanity then you can dismiss all religions. Sad world 🌎 😢😢😢

How is the War on Gaza linked exclusively to Muslim communities? The horrors committed in Gaza and Rafah go beyond religion. It’s a question of humanity to confront them. I feel that any connection with a singled out religion undermines any attempt to solving the Palestinian issue and sparing the life of Palestinian survivors. Unless you speak about blatant islamophobia. Even so I still feel that occupation and ill treatment, destruction and deaths must come first. At the nexus of all of this, the Palestinian people, with its diversity.

And ofcourse if you look at the protests and the pro- palestinian activism it is a mixture of people from various backgrounds and faiths. The common denominator is their recognition that what is happening is injustice manifest.

First you need to believe in their inclusive concept(UK Culture) and believe their culture and way of living -Which your community as a whole cannot do that because in your minds -you think Religion is more important than country (concept you believe ).
Remember Religion and culture is different things .
In secularism state -When religion coincides with Culture then Culture of the country dominates religious part (Precedence level of Culture of country or organization is high).

The UK is aiding the genocide in Palestine, and is publicly supporting Israel's 'right to defend itself' as innocent Palestinian civilians are being bombed, displaced and injured so Israel can take take more land by force. Is that something you approve of? Why are you not protesting our governments support of Israel who is breaking all international laws? Innocent people (of all faiths) crushed under buildings, losing limbs, in constant trauma, with no food and limited medical help because almost every hospital has been bombed and attacked and limited (if any) aid is being allowed in. Aid workers who have attempted to help have been murdered by Israel to discourage others!!!! Gaza has been bombarded with the equivalent of two nuclear weapons over an area of 360 square km. Israel's attempt to genocide the population is comparable to Hitler. The real question is, why aren't you protesting? This is a question of humanity not religion.

As this is all that was being asked for at the time. Nothing more nothing less. Labour party has a hidden manifesto which has become apparent expecially the way they have treated bame members of their own party who have spent decades of thier life for a meaningless party as it doesnt stand for justice for mankind at large.

Why would anyone vote in Britain for a other country.
If you vote it should be for Britain and British people only.
If you don't agree maybe you should move to the country that your voting about.

    • @er4767
      @er4767 20 วันที่ผ่านมา
