  • In this video I export Daz3d model to unreal and retarget her for animations. Also I go ahead and fix the hair transparency.

    Thank you so much! I think I may have finally got past the HUGE hurdle of daz to UE5 workflow. It's been so tricky to get these guys into Unreal seriously so many failed bridges and plugins. Finally with this plug in and your insanely quick hair fix. So excited hahaha!! 😂

    Ye gods...... I need about a billion or so more braincells! This is pretty darn cool! I have UE around here someplace, but haven't done anything with it yet. I need to get my DAZ machine tricked up and working again. Hopefully soon. Too much going on here... I've been messing with 3D for about 12 years, and feel like I've barely scratched the surface. Seeing this and the stuff Jay and Chris do just blows my mind! Good stuff, sir! 😁😁

    dude followed u threw whole thing. no prob follow other videos almost to end to find they changed workspace dockers so were lost

    The Daz to Unreal bridge is exporting geographs now, however the textures aren't right, they are there but they're not set properly.
    To fix that, you need to manually edit the model and set the correct materials to the geographs and then edit the "torso" material for the geograph and set the Parent to Genesis8Female_BaseMat.
    It took me hours to figure it out..

      Yeah but rhw color from the geoshell isn't transfered to the material :P I got a video on that though xD

    I have a question. I need to create a character (physical body) which will be staying at the same place where each part of the body can be moved by the external force or by another object collision or by a pawn. Questions are: 1) how to make a physical body stay at one place for example floating with physics and mass enabled? 2) how to create rigs for each part of a body which can be triggered by a VR pawns, for example to adjust poses of that character by VR pawns?

      You could use morphs and just load the character BP since it is not going to be moved or need animations. I know literally nothing about VR so I can't help you there. XD

      That model is Rosa. You can find her on the Daz3d store. The Models I use are all a certain type and they tend to be a little more pricy because of it as a heads up just in case you wanted to buy the model.

    My ue5 doesn't have that Transparency Offset under Global Scalar Parameter Value. How do I fix it?

      I haven't loaded up UE5 in roughly 3 months. I believe you have to untick the box so that you can change the value. If the box isn't there at all then you may be in the wrong menu.

    I don't see it in IK Retargeter and it looks like I need to look at Show Engine Content, but I can't figure out how to do that.

      Look on the right of the content library there should be a gear or some sort of drop down menu. When you open that up there are options like the show Engine Content that you are looking for. (As long as they didn't change it in an update but I highly doubt.)

      I guess I misunderstood your advice.
      I see that all I have to do is just check ”Engine content in geer mark" so that the specified item will appear in the IK Retargeter!
      It seems my understanding of the English language is still in its infancy.
