Hey what's up TH-camrs. I'm Sacred Sage and spend my days making my VN. That also means I spend quite a lot of time in Daz3d. So I decided to start sharing what I learned in Daz3d so others don't have to go through the struggles I had to.

Would be possible by any means to apply this mask at runtime? I managed to get it working with Virtual Texture, so it has the same effect and its dynamic from any object placed from the blueprint, but its only making it invisible, it still hold all the collision. So I was wondering if we could actually apply the actual visibility "brush" instead of the runtime virtual texture, since the brush actually removes the collision while the virtual texture just hide that section and project something else
No idea. I havent touched this program in years. :(

How can i prevent to doing animation trough the wall? For example my chopping animation went trough the tree.
I know theres a way i just cant remember, havent touched the program in like 2 years.

@@arturkozanowski1499 crashed alot even with a 3060 TI. Then it qould have to recompile which takes 15+ minutes. Quit youtube as well cuz them refusing to monitize me. So i just mess around on Daz3d and stream on rumble now a days :)

Many places. I get majority of mine from Daz then mix and match them.

Sooo super helpful, thank you! New to Daz in the last two weeks and I'm only trying to create clear, 2k images while trying to figure out what can be removed in order for it to render faster without sacrificing major quality.

How did you deal with the noise? Have you turned on the filter?
There is a art to that as well, you can add the quality level up but render time will increase, the easiest way is using photoshop and using the blur tool.

dude I know this video is old but now in 2023, I use Daz because I have a MASSIVE collection. I "EASILY" take those assets into iClone, create my images in seconds unlike Daz. Export those and use Photoshops new generative fill AI tool to fix ugly mouths and stuff without having to fuss around in Daz, then boom, I'm ready to put them in my Visual Novels. And animating for VN's in iClone as you all know is a CAKE WALK... Now to just learn how to use private part morphs so adult scenes look more realistic in iClone and then I'll be set. Figured I'd share my process because I'm excited about it every day I wake up.
Mine is at the 0 point, and after seeing this video I grouped things. No change. She has no eyes but the preview says otherwise. I could say some things about these faulty eyes.

I am creating an entire movie using Daz. Render times for lowest setting are about an hour for 5 seconds of screen time. Fun to see the characters come to life though. Seeing them talk is cool. 😀
That's not working anymore with the newer versions of unreal engine.
I just downloaded the demo of iClone 8 but there is no "look at weight" for eyes/head. I'd really need that to still be able to use the face puppet tool to move the eyes even though "look at camera" is on. How did you get that slider?
Maybe it's changed but I performed a slightly different thing. It was driving me mad, but the Gens went extreme translucency and I couldn't fix it with any slider/shader. After fixing this, merging shells is extremely easy. 1. Save body before any editing. 2. Copy Shell to Proper Mesh 3. Map Transfer 4.a Follow same photoshop procedure. 4b. I had to retouch the mask quite a lot more. Any stray line you get rid of it. 5. Re-open save 6. Change base color on gens to new map 7. Delete Shell
I'm having a hard time adopting to gen 9 due to the fact that they are built differently body wise. It's hard to give female curves. I try to morph another body from a different model character, and I end with an oddly bottle shape, something I don't want. I even try to Tweak it a little bit using parameters. It was no go. Honestly, I think Gen 8 is better when it come to building the way you want them.

I've actually been doing this for a while and it aggravates me that Daz doesn't have any kind of save template for quickly isolating partial poses. I'd also like to point out that you should always save the root head poses as they often include some tweaking modifiers (like expression smoother) that hasn't been cloned to the head, and the head itself as it includes the upper and lower face rigs I often use to tweak, fix, and modify mixed expressions. Also, in addition to unclicking general on the head you need to unclick Neck under pose controls as well to make sure that any neck posing is removed from save. Another vendor (particularly non PA sources) error is they'll build custom expressions and fail to set them as type Pose which will not save in the pose presets option, so watch for these and fix or account for them accordingly.

Such a shame, you looked like you had a good scene going on when you just had natural lights. Can I ask why you insist on adding lights that wouldn’t be there in real life? All that lighting just makes things so flat and way less dynamic.
