Oh hey, those are the switched I got for my dad's office. He loves them and can finally enjoy a mechanical keyboard at work. Also high wife approval factor, she barely notices the sound.
I've been using these for a week. The only downside is if u use white LEDs it gonna turns pink (like real pink), pretty annoying cuz I have black-white setup, and the bottom out feels heavier than 45gr. Other than that these switches are really worth the money
You can change the top Housing with Outemu Reds. Or any outemu that have Transparent top Housing. Make sure you get a Switch opener to do the modification ;)
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Outemu are the kings of purely silent switches. Say, I've still got the V1s in my school board. How's about time for an upgrade?
Every Outemu switch with MX style housing like Jade/Cream has really good tolerances, smoothness is fine, they still benefit from break-in, contact pins are much thicker, lubing didn't change much compared to V2, occasional spring ping. Easy to disassembly compared to their winglatches but condenser/diffuser can rattle on some batches.
So question: I know that you are essentially wedded to the same keyboard/plate/case/keycap setup to make the best comparison, but what made you decide to go with an FR4 plate in the first place? By the way, these switches are crazy silent. You should try Outemu Hanny/Lanny switches - the quality seems really good for the price.
I put these on an otherwise stock Aula F65 and can barely hear them in the silence of my room, in a library or at work with other people typing? You’ll be making negative noise compared to them
I think "mushy" applies only to membrane switches. It's a feeling you get after pressing the switch all the way down (called "bottom out") , and with membrane switches you don't feel the exact bottom stop. Mechanical switches cannot feel mushy, because by design the bottom is plastic against plastic. Silent switches only add a tiny piece of rubber/silicone (less than 1mm), not enough to make a feel of "mush" but rather a firm cushion that prevents the "clack" sound of the key going down, but also on the way up.
it's not really mushy but does have some "cushioning" feeling due to the silicon inside it. But you can't really change that on silent switches otherwise it wouldn't really be silent. don't get me wrong the "cushioning" feeling is not really noticeable. so definitely not mushy
Hi! Thanks for your very nice tests! It helps a lot However, I'm getting lost... I want to try to make my first custom keyboard and can't decide what switches I want... Akko Penguin Silent Outemu silent grey (cheap one, so no risk) TTC frozen switch v2 ... Akko V3 Pro Cream Blue Outemu Silent Peach V3 I like icy/artic sounds, i don't want very loud one as I am working sometimes in open space. and I'm also gaming. I think having a slight preference for tactile ones. May I have your opinion? I wanted to combine them with "143 keys Coffee Cat PBT Keycap 5 Sides DYE-SUB XDA Profile Customized Keycaps For Cherry MX" on Aliexpress and a GMK87 kit Trying to fit in a 90-140€ all included budget for a 75%.. to full size keyboard Have a great day and thanks in advance
TTC is stiffer, louder but more expensive, same with LichiCX and Kailh silents, from silent tactiles look for TTC Bluish White V2, LichiCX GEON RAW, Invokeys Daydreamer, JKDK Crimson from Outemu I can recommend Cream or Jade Yelllow as a medium tactile or Lime V3 as a light tactile.

weird mine looks perfect white
Great!
I have the lemon v3s and the RGB shine through is incredible! Im glad i chose them over the peaches cause the slight tactile bump is 👌
Good choice!
I picked the Outemu Peach V3 switches out of Jerrzi Honey Bean, Kailh Islet, and even TTC Frozen for their amazing value for my work keyboard.
Oh great!!

It’s worth it. V3 is smoother, and has no leaf ping.

Totally agree! Yes great update!
incredibly quiet wow
Yes!! :)
Very nice.Good job Outemu!
Absolutely!
This is the best silent switch in the market
One of the best, but it is still up to your personal preferences!
flesh colored switch housings
And pretty peach!

Because I love the FR4 sound and feel and it was the "new thing" when I start! Thanks for tips!
Which ones better silent yellow jades, cream yellows or silent peach v3s?

Do these feel mushy?

Compare to other silent switches, not at all!
I though Kailh Silent Pink are quiet switches... Omg
Yeah...

Great review!
'Silent' is clearly very subjective in this context.....
Mushy?

Compared to other silent switches, not at all
how do they compare to the v2?
You can check the graph at the end but pretty similar but quieter.
