I could listen to this man speak all day long. Another great video is Capt. Rud speaking about his time leading the Blue Angels.
Good to see he's keeping busy and still around. He was an awesome Captain. He took command of the USS Constellation (CV-64) from a bad captain, while I was crewmember onboard. Best CO I ever worked for.
This man loves his job. Still on the aircraft carrier now. ❤️
He was my recruiter NRD San Antonio 1978. Had many memorable experiences riding in the back seat of a T-34 with him. My introduction to Naval Aviation.
I saw you and your team fly many shows including after the transition to F/A18s. I'm proud you commanded a carrier and also proud of Donnie Cochran being brought back to command the Blues.
Wow what a great video! I’ve been on the Midway several times but never knew Gil Rud was giving presentations! Hope I can see him one day! Thank you so much for sharing this!
Great video!!
excellent presentation by captain Gil Rud, thanks for sharing, it's a gem!!
Awesome! LSOs are true heroes when it's dark out, during thunderstorms, pitching deck and 1/4 mile visibility. Fly Navy!
Awesome brief
Excellent video and presentation. Gil is really great
I once heard your daughter call you a "HUD Cripple!" I laughed anyway. Gunz sends.
